Located in the strip mall area with shared parking with all the other stores. We stopped in around 5:30pm, found out they are open until 8pm (good to know for the future appointments). Just had a 7 minute wait. Staff were friendly and helpful. Appointment was not rushed and care was taken on all the requests made for the hairstyle. Generally our whole family goes here for their cuts, never had a bad experience so recommended. read more

I am visiting from out of state, and was hesitant to go for a quick haircut after reading the reviews... so glad I took a chance! What you need to do is check in on the website and get your place in line. Covid has made their check-in more involved than simply 'walk in', but people- that's not the business' fault!! I made my appt and showed up 5 min before; Jessica was ready for me. She asked a few pertinent questions and got to work. She's clearly a veteran stylist; I only wish she worked in my town! She made some styling suggestions, made sure I knew how to recreate the look we'd worked out, and got me checked out. Total time was maybe 20 minutes. SLP Sam Laura Paul in Woodbridge, CT own this SuperCuts. You won't get anywhere with the manager who is more rude than her employees. Jessica argued with me about how I would like my haircut, saying "you can't blame me if there are hairs shorter on one side!" a 2 inch trim is all I was seeking :) the manager witnessed the whole thing and basically told me to leave... This is the second time I've tried working for this Chain.. both times was treated horrible. The manager at east lyme right from the start tried making me work every weekend both Saturday and Sunday while the other stylists were not required to.. Initially I told the manager I could work 3/4 days a week max.. I ended up working 5 with a changing schedule from one week to the next, while all the other stylists had set schedules. I felt this was unfair. . One of the stylists there was constantly yelling and complaining at the customers and myself. Constantly.. she was very abusive to me, behaving in an intimidating manor. . Sge was constantly stating, very loudly i hate having to work with new people..and looking straight at me and saying no offense. Once that I noticed, we cut a mother and daughter, she the daughter myself the mother. At the end the mother gave her 10$ for each of us I heard her say that .. I was servicing someone else, at the time. The stylist ended up keeping both tips hers and mine. When I asked her about it, her response was incoherent Followed by " I don't know what to yell you.. xtremely unprofessional to say the least. Her behavior was more tgan abusive, it was memtal terrorism .. I was very draining not saying anything..but why allow myself to be sucked into the ghetto toilet bowl ??? The manager was having some health issues, which I understand completely but her giving me more shifts than I could handle or agreed to was not right.. just to cover her shifts while she recovered.. she would get dizzy, do to her health, which again is understandable.. but this was entirely inappropriate and cringy .. she would sit on the bare floor with customers around while she felt better and had other stylist work on her clients... my first week there she asked me to take a picture of her doing this... I told my husband and his response was...why can't she just sit in the back in a chair snd recover flike an adult???. I will inset a pic if this seems like a made up story.. The owner pays commission which allows him to get away with paying BELOW MINIMUM WAGE. A few times I calculated my pay vrs my hours and several times I got under 13$ an hour .. there are tears of commission silver, gold, platinum .. the more you sell the more you pay.. he, prolongs elevating people to a higher tear, because he has to give them a higher percentage of the store earnings.. the thing that really finalized my decision to leave was the last shift I was on.. he yelled out over his shoulder like a brat kid.. that Out of the 10 or 12 locations her owns.. He " will only allow 10 people to be elevated to Platinum, because if I let more move to platinum, you guys will make me broke" that's a total quote. I realized that even IF I worked super hard I'd never Make what I had actually earned with my hard work.. to add insult to injury the fact that he ACTUALLY ADMITTED HIS BUSINESS PRACTICES to the entire salon was shocking..and a bit insulting, he must have thought we as a whole weren't smart enough to Catch what his was Revealing! Or maybe he's not smart for underestimating MY Intelligence. IF you are a Stylist I'd skip this " opportunity " and save yourself the inconvenience of having to find another job. And In Case Jess ( the stylist that was just awful to me) is interested I have own chair now thanks to you...it was the push I needed to realize I can be happier running my own show I tried several times to upload the pictures.. but my device is not responding imagine a baby sitting in a diaper with legs out in front of them that on a public floor in a salon. read more

Being a girl who hates my hair, getting it cut is a chore. When I walk into Supercuts I always ask for Deb. I end up with the best haircut ever, and a half an hour of laughing. This Supercuts provides excellent value for my money. I've paid much more to be far less satisfied with my hair. Dawn and Kelsey are two of the most professional stylists I've ever come across. They always listen to what I want/ need and are able to provide ideas when I'm not so sure. Both ladies are also great with my Mom who, suffering from dementia, can be a very difficult customer. They are both patient and kind as can be. Dawn has given me the best hair style I've had in an extremely long time. I've recently moved about 20 minutes away. There are two other Supercuts stores and many other salons between my new home and this place. It's still worth the trip. read more

This is one of the worst places for a haircut. First of all you check in and they tell you "sorry the website is wrong we are booked for the day." Um so no wait means no haircut? The funny part was there was stylists standing around nobody waiting and 1 kid in the chair that was finished. They were opened for another 2 hours. Horrible. Probably better anyway. I went to supercuts to visit my favorite hair stylist, Kate. I loved the color she choose for my hair, and the high lights she used where beautiful and looked so natural. Kate does an amazing job with matching your natural color, it never looks brassy. Go see Kate if you want beautiful hair that looks natural. She also does a great job at styling hair. Walked into supercuts 5:20 PM to get a trim. Nobody in the store. The one cutter tells me someone called and is supposed to be in around 5:30 so I will have to wait........ huh? you got nobody in the shop and someone might be there in 10 or 15 minutes. You got a paying customer standing in front of you! It was my understanding that they didn't take actual appointments, just put you on the list and would get the next open chair after you walked in ITS JUST A TRIM! I usually go to a different salon for my haircut, but I really needed one and they had a long wait, so I decided to try this location of Supercuts! I walked in and was immediately greeted, which I am always happy about when I enter a salon. While I hadn't made an appointment, I was able to be taken right away (though others came in as I was getting my cut and they were not as lucky). I got a wash and a trim, and the service was quick, and what you would expect. She was very pleasant, and did a fine job washing my hair and cutting it as I had asked. There were only two stylists on at the time I was there, and one was taking her lunch break while mine was washing my hair. I did feel bad that every time the phone rang she would have to stop what she was doing while washing my hair to answer the phone, but to me that still speaks to their customer service by not letting a all go unanswered, and it didn't bother me (I love having my hair washed - so a little extra time at the sink was okay!). I would recommend coming if you need a basic service, but it would not hurt to call ahead - just in case! read more

I have got him a haircut here for the past five times. This last haircut I got with absolutely awful. It was so bad that I had to tell the stylist to stop. Immediately upon leaving I went to a different Barber Shop to have them fix what was ruined. Danielle completely butchered my hair and does not know what a taper is. I used to go to a high-end salon for my cut and color services, but I started going to Dawn at Supercuts for almost a year now and won't see anybody else. At first I went as a walk-in for a cut because I was trying to save a few bucks. I happened to end up in Dawn's chair and I've been going back to her ever since. She listens to you and gives you recommendations but in the end will always do what you want. She's very friendly and seems to really know her clients. I've noticed that she always greets people by name when they enter the salon, but seems to have a way of making me feel like I'm the most important client in the world at the same time. Today I went in for the third time, and I will not be coming back. The first time I went by myself and got a great haircut. The second time, I went in with my young son and was told "oh yes, we have lots of experience with kids!" well, I tried to tell her that he might be afraid of the clippers and asked if she be able to use scissors. She told me that she has only ever used the clippers on kids and has never had an issue before. I found out why .... she just kept stuffing him with lollipops to get him to sit still. He wasn't in any distress or overly afraid of the clippers so I just let her finish his cut. Today, I went in to get a trim. I walked in at 6:15pm and there were two women cutting hair, with two men in their chairs and no one waiting. I was asked what I had come in for, I said just a trim. I heard one woman say to the other something about 10 minutes and it looked as though both men were just finishing up so I figured it wouldn't be a long wait. One of the women walked up to the computer and said "Ok, I think we can take you in an hour." I looked around the empty shop and said "really? an hour?" and was told rather snottily "Yes.
