We checked in about 55 minutes ahead of time because we had some errands to run and we received a 15 minute text as agreed-upon to let us know that our spots were coming up. We went on over to Sweet briar market next to Bob Jones And the door was locked. They wouldn't let us in. They said they had staffing issues and they had to go. So they just closed it lock the door. I could see our names on the register displayed reservation list. Hell! We were next on line!! But they wouldn't let us in. Girl said she had it. didn't call my phone to let me know not to go over there. didn't apologize for confusion, inconvenience or the price of tea in China. Too bad. So sad. i'm guessing she must've been hypoglycemic is the only reason she showed her behind. I would have bought her a happy meal if she was nice. but she was not. I have never had a business open their door half a crack and then shut it at me. That's a new one. The stores are independently owned I found out. I unexpectedly had to find a new stylist to do my extension services (which I understand is a luxury service and normally cost more than other services) I was booked and scheduled over the phone, Then bombarded with emails and text about signing their salon agreement. They were very persistent about signing this form (your appointment will be canceled if you don't sign ahead of time) and it was a bit of a turn off before ever even getting to the salon. When I sat down at the chair, the stylist and I went over the reinstall process, And she began getting to work. At no point before our appointment or during the consultation was pricing ever discussed. I will take partial responsibility for not asking, but like I said, I am used to paying fairly high prices for my service. When we were almost done with my move up, I finally asked about their pricing and was very shocked To hear that they charge $200 per row to move up extensions. I have been wearing extensions for close to four years and never have I paid prices even close to that. I ended up being charged $400 for a service that took less than two hours to complete. I feel like this salon should have been more transparent with their pricing upfront, especially offering luxury services like they do. The service quality was average and most of the appointment was silent and a little awkward. When she was finished with my move up I wasn't even offered to have my hair styled/ curled Which was a little shocking since that is normally included with a service like this (Especially at this price point). I paid for the service and left a tip for the stylist as she did do a decent job and pricing is not determined by her.. She retouched my roots yesterday and this is where many stylists fail their clients. Processing virgin hair is not that difficult, touch ups however require precision. Whether it's bleaching, relaxing, or color touch ups, many stylists fail to protect the processed hair from previous treatments. Some stylists also go and work on other people or take long breaks while your hair is being processed. I've seen this in salons and have had my hair damaged because of this in the past. These stylists are incredible and everyone comes out looking wonderful. I've also brought my family in for haircuts and have been very happy with the results.

Lucky for me I was able to get an appointment same day as, well you know when you reach "that" point, that it needed to be done yesterday? Yuppers that is where I was at. Willene did an awesome job and exactly what I wanted/was looking for. I did warn her, she was going to want to do before and after photos as it was going to be quite a difference. I had a strict time frame and again Willene nailed it! If there is anything negative it would be that there isn't always someone at the front desk. Oh and the best part? well one of the best parts...I was shocked by the price. Like shocked in a GREAT way. I'm accustom to paying upwards of $300 for a cut, color, style. I sat in her chair feeling totally depleted and didn't even want to look in the mirror because of my "mature" hair growth that I wasn't quite ready for.
