Her space was clean, comfortable, and we had a lovely conversation while I got a pedicure and gel nail polish. She has a good selection of regular, gel, and dip powders. I'm new to town and have put off getting a color for too long, afraid of going somewhere new. I finally got on Yelp and Google to study reviews and decided on Mia Alexander Salon. I went on Yelp and made an appointment with Kate for Saturday. First off, I was pleasantly surprised to get in so quickly. The rave reviews are absolutely true. Kate was very patient and considerate and gave me one of the best highlights I have ever had. My cut was equally as impressive and to top it off, she styled my hair perfectly. In fact, so much so that I wish I didn't have to wash it and style it myself tomorrow. I only wish I would have taken note of the dry shampoo she used in my hair for body so that I can purchase some for myself. I had an excellent experience and will certainly return. I've been to Mia Alexander twice and both times had amazing results from two different stylists. I first went to Kate where she lightened my hair up and touched my roots up. Most recently I went to Karlee who gave me a beautiful new cut and balayage. Both are very sweet girls. I really liked how Karlee was very honest with me about all questions I had. I thought about going to an ashy blonde and she was very straight forward with me on how much maintenance and time it would take to achieve those results and as a low maintenance individual when it comes to my hair I really appreciated her feedback and honesty with me. Instead she showed me better options and was great with answering all of my questions. I recommend both of these ladies and will definitely be back to see them soon! read more

The salon is really nice, and has a very upbeat environment. I felt welcomed, and immediately offered water. However, getting your hair done goes beyond a welcoming environment. The pictures attached show my hair before getting highlighted & 13 days after getting it highlighted at Mia Alexander. I was in desperate need of coloring after getting it done at a salon in Taylors, and hoped this would be the place to fix it. There are major gaps in the back scalp area to the start of the highlight. I'm very disappointed with how my hair looks less than 2 weeks after coloring. If you are a blonde, then I would NOT recommend comIng here. read more

Went to Kate today for a cut & highlight at Mia Alexander. I recently moved to the area and was in really bad need of a cut and color touch up. My roots were horrid after trying to work on my hair myself for the past 7 months. Whenever you go to a new stylist it's always nerve wracking especially when your hair is involved. Kate was welcoming and made sure to meet all of my needs. We both wish we had a before and after. I feel like a new woman and have already gotten compliments on my hair by my family. I love Kari! I have been going to her since moving to Greenville almost 4 years ago and she is the first stylist ever to be able to keep my hair in a style while letting it grow out. She is also amazing at matching my color to my roots. I love how they keep up with the trends in the industry not just from photographs but from training on new techniques so she is always able to keep me current looking. I get compliments on my hair constantly and I always tell people about Kari and Mia Alexander. I have never seen a client from this salon and wondered - what happened to that poor soul? The stylist are all super professional and the small shop environment lends to the feeling that you have a private appointment without the outrageous price tag. I was introduced to Alison Hughey through a friend who has been going to her for years. Alison drove all the way to Hendersonville, NC to do mine and several of my bridesmaids hair for my wedding and she did a fabulous job! I live in VA and was unable to meet with Alison before the wedding, so we were never able to do a trial run or talk through some ideas in person. Despite this, she was such a professional and created a beautiful updo. I was in awe of her talent when she was able to take a few pictures of styles I liked and immediately get to work, again having never met me before. The final product was stunning and exactly what I was looking for. Alison was friendly, kind, flexible, accommodating, and very good at her job. I wish she lived in VA so I could become a regular!
