I scheduled an appointment through the app and arrived about 8 minutes before my appointment. I was waiting for about 30-40 minutes. Once I was called up, the woman seemed already peeved and did not want to do my hair. I went ahead and sat down described what I wanted and even showed her an image. I asked for some advice and she practically rolled her eyes at me. The entire haircut was silent, which I don't mind Im not much of a talker. I prefer not to talk, but I was immediately bothered by this woman, who seemed angry. Which she demonstrated as she shoved the clippers through my hair roughly. Trying to get the cut done as fast as possible. Once she was done with my hair she didn't even show me the back she just asked if it was okay. I answered, "Yes, thank you." I noticed her demeanor change slightly. Which should have been my first clue that she did not show me the back. I bought some styling cream but I just needed to get out of there. So I paid and left. Once I had left a friend of mine said that the back was messy and not done very well. On top of that I had dried blood they had nicked me twice where I had skin tags. I did not feel anything when it happened I just remember feeling an itching and sore sensation after. Needless to say, I won't be going back. read more

If I could write Supercuts a zero I would. I went in for a shampoo wash, and the girl cut my hair and then the nightmare happened. As the lady was blow drying my hair for a blowout, she used a round brush, and my hair got matted and nodded to the point of where they had to call another person off the clock to come in to remove the brush for my matted hair, which took approximately 2 hours after closing. I cried because I thought I was gonna have to cut my hair off . They cut the brush tips so they could comb out my matted hair that was stuck to the brush and then rinsed out the rest of my hair stranded to get all of the treatment she put in it to try to untangle it. I wish I had taken pictures of what my hair matted in the brush, but I'm never going back unless I get free haircuts forever because that was the most ridiculous and scary thing ever that I have ever experienced in a business. The girl had no empathy and couldn't figure out what to on her own and then gave me attitude when I asked if she could call the owner she said yes I'm doing it in such a tone that it seemed like she was talking back to me. And with multiple cowlicks, it's important that the hairdresser knows how to perform a proper scissor cut. This is to avoid me leaving the salon looking like a cockatiel. Blanca, Betsy & Heather are amazing. I know there is a lot of mix reviews about this location. In the past 6 years that my husband has visited Blanca there has been quite a turn around with stylist which then makes it difficult to find the best one. It is kinda like playing Russian roulette like a previous comment. We're totally understanding that a lot of these girls are fresh out of Barber school or cosmetology and to be brutally honest the only way to really learn how to cut is to cut real peoples hair.. I know shocking!! But ever since we started visiting all the ladies have been so polite. My boys have had a few bad cuts but hey hair grows back!. We started seeing Heather a few months ago and my kids really enjoy sitting on her chair and chatting about the day. She is very personable and seems to enjoy seeing the boys come in. Can't even give this place a full star. Avoid it, no actually just avoid Bianca if you want anything other than a basic man cut! Blanca asks me what I want, then proceeds to interrupt me as I explain I don't want layers and tells me what she is "gonna do" to my hair...without even taking out the ponytail to look at my hair! I get it that Supercuts is like a drive thru service, this one is like Mc Donalds. But Bianca-just isn't willing to listen & learn. And when I respectfully got up to leave she wanted to argue, just no class and not professional. It was an easy cut and could have earned you a good tip. ‍ I have thin, very fine and hardly any-white girl hair! If you layer my hair like you do every other customer that comes in...I am gonna leave looking like I got a mullet or a pixy cut. Although all of the staff are welcoming, and the business is clean, many of the stylists lack basic haircutting skills. It is a game of Russian Roulette every time I take my family in there. Sometimes their hair looks manageable, but more often than not I have to correct the mistakes made when we get home. Unfortunately, I will not be returning moving forward. Requested a Bob. My hair was below my shoulders. It was layered, so I knew it would take awhile to become a smooth one length bob. The first time I was shown the back it did a little bit of a flip it was touching my shoulders. I wish I had read the reviews. I would have never gone here. Maria suggested that she take a little more off. I thought it was to just get it to not flip out so much. When I got home I was horrified. It was 2" shorter and uneven. When I first arrived, I requested a blow dry be added. They said they didn't have time. There was one person waiting, and one in a chair. They were standing around talking. Maybe if she had blown it out, she might have seen that the length was short enough. As it is now, I won't need a haircut for a few months, and I have to get someone to fix this mess. Haircuts can be quite pricey ($20+) though - but with their monthly subscription for $14 something tip excluded, you get unlimited haircuts. They mostly take appointments by the Supercuts app so highly discouraged dropping in unless you go before 10AM. read more

Beyond disappointed with the age discrimination and non-CDC knowledge or compliance at this location. My 15 month old was denied a haircut because he wasn't wearing a mask. When I told them he isn't supposed to wear one at 15 months they said that then he couldn't have his haircut for that reason (his age prohibiting him from wearing one). He's not only under 12 as the county order states children don't need a mask, he's under 2 and that poses a suffocation/choking risk according to the CDC and AAP. They also informed me that he had to be able to go in alone and since he can't (Again too young AND I wouldn't let my minor child in alone EVER anyway), that they would also be unable to cut his hair. Hospitals and medical professionals can't even force parents to separate and yet a hairstylist can? When has it become okay to turn people away for business simply because of their age and because of that they have a medical reason to not wear one? They have lost all 10 of our family members business along with any other friend else I tell of this experience I'm sure. I won't be back under any circumstance. Separating children/minors from their parents behind closed doors is asking for a lawsuit and putting children in potentially dangerous situations with people they don't know. read more

Very bad service, very unprofessional. I had an appointment at 4:40 pm after waiting for almost 20 mins they still kept calling other clients. I asked them if they were going to call us next but they said they were running behind. If I didn't ask after waiting for so long I would not have known they were running late. No one said sorry for the wait. They were going to make me wait even longer so I decided to leave. If you are late to your appointment by 5 mins they won't see you but if they are late no one says anything you are supposed to wait and don't complain. This is not the only hair salon in Hollister luckily! Cancelling our memberships now. What a nightmare! I took my 6 year old son here yesterday and he was given the WORST haircut I have ever seen. It took the guy over an hour to cut his hair, which should have only taken him 20 minutes or so. He kept blaming my kid for the bad haircut, saying he wouldn't sit still. To top it off, the manager was extremely rude and started yelling at my son because he took his mask off when we were paying. I'm sorry, but it's difficult for a 6 year old to sit still for over an hour, let alone in a mask. Now I have to deal with this butcher job of a haircut. I called to confirm my appointment and was told that my appointment was at "4:40." They never asked no last time only first. I think that it is really a bad policy that if someone walks in off the street they must log onto their phone and schedule an appointment. I understand that if they are busy that is one thing. The two ladies working yesterday were not busy, sitting there talking to each other but we were told that we must make an appointment through the app. We waited outside for 20 minutes to see if anyone else would come in for an appointment. Got there it was dead I thought we would get help soon, the girl told me they were running behind because they were short staffed which I understand BUUUUUT 1/2 hr later I started noticing lots of chit chatting amongst the stylists and kids in the back. This place is great! The stylists are always courteous and are able to help answer any questions I may have regarding the different hair styles that I'd like to try. Furthermore, they can provide valuable feedback regarding the different hair care products available and what their applications are. Even if there is a queue for the hair cuts, the hair stylists there will work as quickly as possible to get to ya. The check in feature on the super cuts app combined with a google search of their hours will provide you with enough information about the wait time. Anyways in summary, the stylists are patient, knowledgeable, and great. Even if there is a wait sometimes, it's worth it :) read more

My recent visit to the Hollister Super Cuts left me convinced I will never return to this location. I was asked when I walked in the door if I was already registered. I replied no, and was told I would need to do so myself on their keypad tablet at the front desk (Great Clips does this for their customers). After going through the registrations process and thinking I had completed it, I sat down and waited my turn. Shortly after I sat down a young mother arrived with two boys needing a hair cut. She went through the same process I did and proceeded to sit down and wait her turn. As soon as a chair was available the hair stylist checked the customer waiting list and proceeded to tell the young mother who had come in after me that she was next. She then turned to me and curtly told me that I had not finished completing my registration and if I needed help to ask for it. Rather then get into a debate about why I was not invited to finish my registration which I thought I had, and receive a haircut in the order I arrived, I left. If this is Hollister Super Cuts idea of customer service, I don't want any part of it. P.S. Great Clips in Gilroy always delivers a fantastic hair cut and actually considers customer service a part of what they should deliver. read more
