He told me he was a Redken educator that taught in Australia & has worked in a few different states. Ty lighten my hair, layered/textured & trim the ends. I'm very happy with my salon experience-- I have not changed salons in 10 years (I'm from the Bay Area). I'm always worried when I get a haircut, but Ty gave me an excellent haircut & experience. Besides being a great hair stylist, he has an interesting story. I left feeling inspired about life & being in a new state. I would definitely come back to this salon.

I was recently diagnosed with cancer and wanted to mentally prepare myself for losing my long locks of hair. I caved and went to a nearby salon. I was pleasantly surprised when I found this place. I wanted to donate my hair and they offered a wide selection of charities to choose from-which is simply awesome! The owner was very supportive of my situation and offered to have me come back anytime to shampoo my hair after my surgery since I couldn't use my arms, as well as offered to shave my head free of charge once my chemo started. On top of the amazing staff, they did a great job with my cut and styling! I was worried about having short hair since my hair is so thick, but they made it look amazing. Pat checked out my hair length in different areas finding it too short in some areas compared to the rest of my hair and found how my hair grew in certain areas. I have "cow licks" in some areas and my hair grows straight in others. Pat cut my hair the way I requested and when I implied I wanted it a bit shorter she gladly took care of it. I'm not hard to please by any means. Sadly I'm finding too my salons with poorly taught hair cutting and coloring stylists. I understand that Florida no longer requires a real person type cosmetology licensing exam with highly experienced cutting and coloring experts serving as judges who can physically watch them through the hair cutting and coloring processes. There are no required internships where the best learning after classroom instruction really takes place. The exam is now a computer generated test and its turning out very poor cosmetologists. I had such a mess two stylists ago that I had to go north to get it fixed. When it happened this time I was lucky enough to see Pat's advertisement. She stated she can work to fix any bad haircut. I decided to call and give it a try before heading out of this area once again. I'm truly pleased with what she was able to do and the path she has mapped out to get me back to where I want my hair style to be. The best part....it looked really great the next day after her haircut too! Another words it didn't look like I just had a haircut. It looked soft, smooth and has very naturally moving lines. The sew in looks great and she did a wonderful job but it was absolutely not worth the amount of time I had to sit in a chair, and the fact that she wasn't honest with the time was frustrating. She's a sweet girl and I'm sure she's great at other styles but speed isn't her strong suit. Here's another kicker! After 6 gruesome hours she then proceeded to say "You can come back after your trip to get it redone." Me: "What?" Her: "Just to get the weave redone." Me: "Is there something wrong with the hair?" Her: "No I just don't like the way I did it." She's telling me to come back next week to get it taken out and put back in because she didn't do it to her liking :D Unfortunately this experienced was not to my liking and I will not be back.

I stopped in on Thursday to inquire about blending my gray grow out and a cut. The lady that helped…read moreme took my number and said she had the perfect lady. I received a text from someone offering different appt options. I chose Saturday at 1:30. I had long low mid back length. I've been growing my gray for 6 months and needed blending and had saved several collar bone/long lop/bob styles that I wanted. I was so excited. I took before pics in the car. Arrived early, showed the stylist what I wanted, explained thoroughly. She went to cutting. Kept saying she was giving me a precision cut and layers. Said the way she did it was a process. Cutting length first, then long layers, etc. when she made the first "layer cut" I asked then as I didn't understand. She told me to just wait. She kept cutting. Another lady came and she dusted me off and took off my cape. I said oh no! It's not stacked and layered correctly. I said it's too full here and she grabbed the cape and just started cutting length. Not in sections just cutting. She said let me grab her and we can cut more. I went to my car to wait and got my first glimpse. Mind you I have wavy hair and she dry cut me. It looks frizzy due to my texture (NOT DAMAGED) because she used a comb while dry cutting. Think brushing curls. It poofs and frizzes. I immediately cried in my car and took pics. Waited for the lady she was servicing to come out and went back in and asked how much for the cut. She told me $55 for cut color and style. I asked how much for the cut only. She said $35. During I was tearing up and she asked what was wrong. I said it isn't what I asked for and it was chopped and gapped and overall shocking. She said coke sit back down and she'd fix it. I declined. I left my cash in her station and left in tears. It was/ is so short I was afraid of what I'd have left had I sat back down. I have cried all weekend. I came home and washed it to see what I was dealing with. Due to the length and chops and whacks and gaps, I cannot style it. (See pics below). The following business day (today Tuesday) I stopped back by to speak with the lady "who had the perfect lady", I walked in and someone different was in her spot. Then the stylist who butchered me walked out. She said she had a feeling I'd come back. I explained I was there looking to speak with the owner. She informed me she had the right to refuse service. I stated I wasn't there for service I was there to show her what she referred me to and the disaster. She had the audacity to insinuate my hair looked shorter than when I left!!!!! I lost it. She refunded me and told me had I sat back down, on Saturday, that she could have fixed it. THERE IS NO FIXING IT unless I go shorter. I have two different cuts on the left and right. I have gaps and chunks missing in the back. Idk what in the world. I have sat home crying over the weekend at the worst chop job and this woman actually started to act like I had gone somewhere else. I have time stamped photos in the parking lot of immediately after! I have 30 min after that of freshly washed time stamped. I have time stamped photos of when that dried and I was sending my bff hysterical. I cannot believe the audacity! Not only do I NOT RECOMMEND THIS SALON, I will be reporting her to the state board. I swear I have NEVER!
