She never made me feel like it was impossible or I was a problem. She just got to work. Less than three hours later, mind you....never has my hair taken less than 3hrs for a normal color and cut, & somehow this woman literally transformed it! Watching someone operate at that level of skill is incredible. My mom was a hairdresser for years and always took clients at the house. Trust, I've seen a lot! There was no panic, no gimmicks, no upselling...just years of expertise, thoughtful decision-making, and genuine artistry. But what impressed me even more was who she is. Jody is honest. She's real. She has incredibly high standards without an ounce of ego. I had a really frustrating experience at this Supercuts (1147 S Federal Hwy, Pompano Beach) and won't be returning. I came in for a low fade and a simple trim -- very straightforward -- but what I walked out with was a completely different look, and not in a good way. My stylist, Maria Lopez, assured me she understood what I wanted. I spoke to her clearly in English, but she kept responding in Spanish or broken English, making it hard to confirm anything. Despite saying she understood, she gave me a high fade instead of a low one and chopped off way more than a trim. The cut is also uneven on the sides, and now my hair looks totally botched -- like a chia pet. I tried to clarify what I asked for during the cut, but she got defensive and didn't ask any follow-up questions. It felt like she just wanted to get it over with. There was one other staff member there, but they didn't step in or offer to help at all. To make things worse, the store's payment system was down, so I had to wait several minutes just to pay and leave. No apology or explanation -- just a bad haircut and an awkward exit. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this was one of the worst salon experiences I've had. Avoid this location if you care about communication, professionalism, or basic haircut quality. read more

All too often when service is excellent, customers don't leave reviews--It is what we expect after all. Well, Audra has been cutting my hair for about 6 months now, and she is spectacular! I've never been offered a coffee or even a water. The stylist has always been condescending and short when I've tried to ask for my hair a certain way. He knows exactly what to do when you have a specific hair style that you want your hair cut into. I usually tell him what I want but there are some times in which I feel adventurous and I let him chose a new look for me. This last time that I went, my hair was very damaged because I dyed my hair. Luckily it was only a good chunk of my ends, so I asked Michael to cut off all of the dyed damaged hair but leave it long enough so I could put it up on a pony tail. I also let him cut my hair whichever way he wanted- to give it style. My trust in him is very profound because he knows hair and he cuts it according to the shape of your face and age. I visited Incognito Salon approximately four or five times. My appointment on June 18, 2026, was my…read morelast. Before my appointment, I had a detailed consultation with the stylist, Michelene. I explained that, as a senior, I wanted to stop routinely coloring my hair, avoid unnecessary chemical processing, and begin embracing my natural gray/silver and waves and curls. We also reviewed and agreed upon a specific reference photograph for both the haircut and color. Unfortunately, the services I received bore little resemblance to what we discussed. The haircut was an entirely different style and was cut significantly shorter than agreed. The excessive loss of length cannot be corrected because hair cannot simply be put back. My concerns about minimizing chemical processing and transitioning to my natural hair color were also disregarded. Instead, my hair was colored much darker than requested with heavy lowlights, resulting in additional color processing that was the opposite of what I had specifically requested during the consultation. I contacted the stylist the same day and later communicated directly with the salon owners in an effort to resolve the matter privately before posting any reviews or filing a BBB complaint. Although the owners offered an evaluation, my primary concern--the irreversible haircut--could not be remedied by an adjustment. I was disappointed that the salon focused on its no-refund policy rather than acknowledging whether the services provided reflected what had been agreed upon during the consultation. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this salon. The owners really do not care.
