I had just been to Rite-Aid, using my senior 20% off Tuesday and I am here to tell you I felt like an old hag! Walked over to Supercuts and I'm glad I did. Jennifer N. gave me such a "super cut" ! Made a appointment online for 11:45 a.m for a haircut. When I walked in there was only one hairstylist working who was the manager. I wasn't sure if I should wait or come back. I waited and I wish I would have left. I told her I wanted my hair cut to my shoulders with layers everywhere. My hair was cut above my shoulders and super short layers in the back only and no layers in the front. I didn't notice anything wrong at the time because my hair is natural curly and when wet it looks different. When my hair dried it was a complete mess. I have no idea what I am going to do because I don't want to go any shorter. I should have known something was up when she didn't offer a mirror to look at the back. I'm very impressed with the new store. All the hallmarks of Supercuts transferred to the new store and the stylist even seemed to enjoy her job again. I'm glad they stayed in the neighborhood and can be reached somewhat easily. I do think they do need to add something to their price list and that is a senior rate (for those 62 and older) as sometimes the senior needs a break. One ouch point though is the loss of Mitchell hair care products. They need to be restored as the products are great. Other than these two issues I think Supercuts has a bright future in the new space and I think they should use it to their advantage so customers get the best haircut possible. read more

Nope nope nope nope nope nope NOPE. We were in this part of town shopping for shoes. We take my spectrum son to the one on South Hill, and the lady we use there is wonderful. I explained to the nice woman who checked us in at this place that he has autism, can't vocalize, and doesn't like clippers. She was so sweet, and she asked if it was okay to go near his ears - she has experience. Then we got stuck with the other woman there. I can't say too much, or I'll sound racist, but she (1) didn't understand what I had discussed with the first stylist, so she was (2) impatient, mean and short-tempered. Worst. Haircut. Ever. She had very little clue as to what a little boy is supposed to look like. This haircut was so bad, he went home and cut his own hair - it's not like he could look any worse. Go somewhere else. Anywhere else. I like to give people the benefit of the doubt, but the reviews for this place are well deserved. read more

Second time here and the lady tells me each time she can't do the cut I want for my kid. Then she asks me if she can bump a customer ahead of my daughter because he won't take as long when I've been waiting behind another person for 15 minutes. read more

My sister and I stopped by for a haircut on Monday evening. 45 min wait, to be expected cause we were walk-ins. My sister was first. She showed the stylist a picture of the haircut she was looking for and described it to her. The stylist proceeded to argue with my sister and tell her she didn't know what she wanted for herself. While my sister was getting trimmed, I couldn't help but hear how some of the other stylists were talking to their clients. One lady was obviously rushing to leave for the evening. The older women she was helping asked to have her hair fired before leaving and the stylist told her that the hot weather would dry it, totally dismissing her wish. The older women insisted and she grudging got her dryer back out and rudely told her it would be another $10 to dry her hair complete. Not even styled. Just dried. At that point I spoke up and told them I would pass for my hair cut. Rather keep my appointment with Studio North. My sister's hair cut was finished and it looked like I could do I better job (I'm a dog groomer). She was very disappointed and worried because she starts her freshman year in high school. I decided to go to supercuts because the cut I was looking for was pretty straight forward and one I've had many times. I showed the girl a picture of the cut and also explained it. I couldn't have dumbed it down any more for her. So for the next 30-40 minutes I listened to her cough and tried not to gag at her cigarette breath. By the time she announced that she was done I was so disgusted by her and the A-line cut I didn't ask for that I said "that will do" and left. So here I am with a cut that I hate and no desire to go back. I'm going to spend the next 8 weeks trying not to lose my s##t every time I have to push hair out of my face (too short for a ponytail) and then take my business elsewhere. I mean, seriously, even Glen Dow can get my cut right and they're students. read more

Weird sales competition going on at this place. Shamelessly advertising rankings for sales. Then asked for simple 2 on the sides finger length top. Left side was was busses to the top. ok for one i dont live in san francisco and never will. and two i hated supercuts to last me a lifetime and i went to supercuts to get my hair dyed and it ended up taking almost forever plus they did not use proper bleach for the shade of blue i was after for last year instead they used a lot of blonde toning stuff which was insanoboyngo BS, i agree with those saying the best thing to happen is to shut down the one by mcdonalds on north newport highway. PS. i am in favor of supercuts shutting down for the time being and re evaluate what hair dying really is, you bleach the hair using bleach then rinse and then you add the color whatever the hell it may be and then rinse the excess and dry off and bam there ya go nothing to it read more

Typically take the kiddos here and thought for convience I would skip my normal barber routine and get mine done here also. Well that was an awful idea. Two on the sides and finger length on top would seem like a pretty easy trim. Nope you can see where the stylist mowed through the side of my head, lookss like a race track around my ear. Thank you to the other stylist for taking care of the girls, they look great. But now I have to shamefully go to my regular barber and ask him to fix your mistake. read more
