She did my girl friend's hair two days after because of my recommendation. Very nice haircut as well. I am very happy with my cut. My head has several calics (not sure how to spell)...this was no problem for her. I found my new place. My GF was very happy. She was terrified about cutting her very long hair. I have been looking for a great hairdresser in Spokane for five years. I found some who were ok, some who were good, but none that were great -- until today. Trang at B&T Hair Salon is a verifiable MAGICIAN. I have extremely thick, "multiple personality" hair -- some of it is straight, some wavy, some curly, with random cowlicks thrown in to further complicate things. I wear my hair very short because it's so dang hard for me to manage, but I still like it to look feminine cuz I'm a girly-type. That's a tall order but Trang did it brilliantly! She is an expert at asking questions and LISTENING to the answers, shaping and cutting with precision. I got the best haircut I've had since I left Chicago over 30 years ago. I have super thick and slightly wavy Cambodian hair and it's always been a struggle to find a nice hairstyle that works for me. No one understood how to deal with my thick Asian hair, like if I tried to grow it out... it'd basically just look like a bushy mushroom cloud. As a result, I've resorted to cutting my own hair for most of my life after a string of bad haircuts from other barbers and hairstylists, it also saved me a ton of money over the years. However, I recently moved out to Spokane, was single, and figured I'd give a hairstylist one more chance as I started this new journey, because you know... a good haircut can make all the difference. My one criteria, I wanted an asian hairstylist. I searched all over Spokane and came across B&T Hair Salon. I called them up and Trang (who's from Vietnam) was able to fit me in with a same day appointment just an hour out. Super easy to make an appointment from my experience. It was $20 for a mens haircut and Trang got me cut up quickly in about 15min, which I appreciated since I'm a busy student. Made an appointment the day before and came in for a trim from Trang. She was quick but thorough and was quiet but friendly--all things I appreciate in a hair stylist. Despite the price board saying a woman's haircut is $35 and up, she charged me $25, probably because I was in and out of the chair in about fifteen minutes. Although my hair still flairs out at the shoulders, which is just the nature of my hair at this length, it is now even across and less dense at the ends. Trang blow dried and styled my hair after the cut which is always nice. Definitely will be coming back for future cuts! read more

Trang is very nice and friendly, and her place is very clean. She's been doing this for many many years and I could tell she is good at cutting people's hair the moment she started on mine. Two of my friends came here a few months ago and recommended this place so I decided to give it a try. The thing is my friends paid $12 and I wasn't ready for such a big increase in price when I got there. Men's haircut costs $18 now. Based on the blackboard, she probably just changed the price recently because of the white smear. A $6 increase in 2 months is a lot. Besides that, she did a very good job on my hair and that outweighed the cost. Although I'd very much love to come back, $18 is a bit expensive. read more

A few weeks ago I let a friend cut my hair and ended up with terrible ear-length bowl cut. I needed help with a corrective style, and I didn't have a lot of hair to work with. I decided to go with a floppy/soft K-pop-esque mullet. I asked the Asian guys at church for a good stylist (because they all have good hair) and was referred to this salon. PRAISE GOD for Trang. She was able to fit me in on short notice and work with my existing hack job haircut to make me presentable. She was honest about what was possible with my existing hair cut and taught me how to style the new shorter do. (Couldn't go full mullet because my hair wasn't long enough in the back.) After having been to Vietnam and receiving the best and cheapest hair cut of his life, we thought maybe we should try an Asian hairdresser? So glad we did! Trang was so fast and so skilled, we were in and out in 15min, even with me distracting her with my chatter! She had the fade done in 3mins flat.. I was timing her. Unbelievable!
