    We had a 6 pm appt/check in. We walk in and Rose states she can't do my littles hair because her arm is hurt. Yet, she says she has 2 other BLOW DRY appts so she can't see her. Which is it? I ask the other lady if she could see us, she said she's booked. Yet they're both sitting there doing nothing. No one is in the shop. How rude can you be.

    She really did a great job evening out the areas in the back where I cut out my dreadlocks! Loving the textures on top!

    Crystal was absolutely fabulous! I made a big change from dreadlocks to an undercut with shorter tapered layers on top and she SLAYED IT. Chic and sleek at a VERY affordable price. Will be returning to her and this salon and referring everyone I know. I felt like she really was so detailed and gave me exactly what I was hoping for and more. Just an overall wonderful experience. Checked in online, no wait when I got there, and wonderful customer service.

I came in because I was referred by some relatives and had been following the Cutting Team on Instagram. I came in for a haircut and a balayage. I wanted a caramel color so that it would be a subtle change. I had let the stylist know that I had dry hair that easily tangled. I loved that as soon as I got in for my appointment the stylists/owners got straight to work with bleaching and separating my hair. When I had previously gotten my hair dyed it was at home with my sister. I had the pleasure of walking around and doing whatever I wanted. During the bleaching process I started to get fidgety but I didn't say anything discouraging about the process. I was confused about why I had to sit for such a long time with the bleach because I only wanted my hair a couple shades lighter. After the bleaching process, I got my hair washed and toned. The toning process took way less time than the bleach. After my hair was done toning, the stylists proceeded to brush out my hair. I had already told them about the nature of my hair and they still decided to use a metal roller brush instead of a wet brush. Because they brushed my hair with a metal roller brush on wet hair, just brushing my hair took so long and there was a lot of breakage. I'm not tender headed but with the amount of time it took to brush my hair and with the type of brush, my head was sore. They finally finished and we moved on to the haircut. When I had walked in to my appointment, they had asked me what kind of haircut I wanted and after I said "layers" they said "okay." I wanted lots of layers but didn't feel like I could say anything after the "okay." It was almost as if they knew what I wanted. I let it slide which was my fault. Since they already knew what kind of haircut I wanted, the stylist just started cutting. When she was done she said, "there, long layers." I didn't think much of it since you can't really mess up layers. After my haircut, I got my hair blow dried and styled. Overall, it took 5 hours for the whole process and I paid $306 after tip. It wasn't until the next day that I could see all the mistakes made. My layers are pretty much nonexistent and someone said they looked "chunky." My hair was also extremely off compared to the color I wanted and what I got. It was too blonde and looked like 2007 chunky highlights. I called back 2 days later to schedule a correction. The week of the correction appointment Texas had a winter storm with power outages and water issues. I hadn't received any calls from the salon prior to the appointment about rescheduling, mind you it was 3 days after the initial winter storm. I texted the stylist about rescheduling and she said appointments were cancelled until they were back up and running. I was understanding and wished her family well. A couple more days go by and The Cutting Teams Instagram made a post about how they were open for business again and yet I hadn't received a call about rescheduling. A couple more days and still no call, I finally called and scheduled the correction. When I came in for the correction I had let the previous and new stylist know that the bottom portion of my hair seemed lighter than what I wanted. The old stylist skimmed through my hair and gave the new stylist instructions. The new stylist was very friendly and made me feel comfortable. She sectioned my hair so that the back of my head was the only thing that was being re-toned. After the toning I got my hair dried and thought everything looked good. When I got home I realized that now the front portion of my head was a completely different color than what was perfectly re-toned. I'm am absolutely disappointed with the customer service. I had extremely high hopes for this place because of the referrals, reviews, and posts. I was let down twice. For my initial appointment I felt as though the owners/stylists were in a rush, inattentive, and cold. I wished the stylists/owners would have noticed that my hair color didn't match what I wanted after the initial balayage session. Had they told me I needed to come back to tone down my hair I would have been perfectly fine. For the correction appointment, one of the owners/previous stylist only skimmed through my hair instead of actually double checking their work and noticing mistakes. Everything seemed so rushed. I would sadly never recommend any of my friends to go here. Attached are pictures of what I wanted, what I received, and how my hair used to be.

    This place is fabulous! This is my new regular salon I'll be going to when I need anything done…read morewith my hair! I love that they use all Aveda products only. BUT, they don't push you to rebuy all your hair products to Aveda if you can't afford it, which is really nice. They do recommend what you should get to add to your current routine even if you can only get one product. My daughter went here for the first time a few weeks ago for just a hair cut and saw Yvette. My daughter has been dying her hair a lot and is trying to get her natural hair back and healthy. Yvette was able to cut off dead without having to chop all my daughter's hair off AND cut & thin it so that her natural curls can start to come back to life. It's still easier to manage now 3 weeks later. I saw Yvette today to get my hair dyed! Went in with blue only on the underside of my hair and blonde on the top. I asked her if I should do my hair all blue, and she thought yes, so we did! She did a couple extra conditioning treatments to make sure the color really catches, and did an amazing job! I mentioned I had a sensitive scalp, so she was very gentle and made sure she wasn't hurting it at any point during the process. She was very nice and asked if I had a budget to make sure the bleaching and dying wasn't going over my budget, which was great. Since I wanted to buy a product instead, I'll be back to have a haircut done in about a month and then another month later to have my hair color revamped. When I go back to have the color revamped, we'll probably keep the roots so that I won't have to spend as much as I did this first time. Little things like working within a budget is not something I've experienced with all hair stylist, so I am very thankful and love it! She's great at recommending little tips and tricks too so I can try to keep the color as vibrant as I can until I see her again.
