In love with this place! I've been back at least 5 times the past month. I always get their kimbab and their rice drink. Their kimbab is one of the best I've had around Bayside and the price is very fair. I'd love to buy catering from them as well. They also have a lot of banchan and frozen goods. I've gotten a bag of their frozen kimchi buns and they were pretty good as well. Will def be a comfort spot for me moving forward now. Highly recommend everyone to check Superfood NY out! read more

This is hidden gem in the Bayside community. Good price for take out bento/ rice bowl and pre-made Korean appetizers. The store is very clean. Everything I ordered was very delish as homemade tasting. The owner is super welcoming. He explained the food to you and even let you try out. My new favorite take out Korean place now! read more

I first visited at their soft opening when they had minimal items for sale and I wasn't sure what they would be offering. I returned after a fellow Yelper posted they had lunch options. I am glad I did. The spicy pork lunch box I ordered was awesome. The sides were yummy including a crab mushroom pancake, and the food was fresh. It is definitely better than what you get at the Hmart food court nearby. I would get the lunch box just for how fresh the kimchi tastes. I also purchased the potato fruit salad and, again, way fresher than what you can get at Hmart. I'm glad to have a convenient Korean meal option added to the local offerings. read more

Cute, clean, fresh and delicious! Great customer service as well. Everything tastes homemade with high quality ingredients. We stopped by to pick up lunch after a Hmart run and it didn't disappoint. We got the kimchi buns, squid kimbap, and the pork belly lunch box. The owner gave us a free order of fried vegetables! We also purchased the white kimchi from the fridge section which is going to be my go to for kimchi. Overall, a great spot to pick up Korean side dishes, lunch items to go and random snacks. Ahhhh this place has elevated to become one of my favorite spots with just one visit. First off, extremely clean, tidy, and organized space. Secondly, the owners are very friendly and helpful. Andy walked me through his entire shop and explained everything he had available. He educated me on some popular korean street food and gave me some good tips for the day after a long night out haha. We talked the entire time I was in the shop and it made the experience a million times better. One thing I loved about this shop is the fact that their food varies on a daily basis. They don't always have the same types of kimchis, soups, ban chan, or uncooked meats. This falls in line with an establishment that provides fresh food. I took home with me a bunch of things which you'll see below in the photos, and I also ordered a pork over rice dish. Everything I took home with me was absolutely delicious and fresh. Andy even mentioned to me that they offer catering which is pretty awesome in case anyone decides to have a large gathering. Between this shop and Ju Bang Jang I have no shortage of delicious and homemade Korean cuisine. I highly recommend a visit to Superfood ASAP. read more

Today is Jan.27. Due to the heavy snowstorm, I had difficulty can't find parking spot. so my mon kimchi to be picked up inside. When she spoke with one of your staff members, she specifically asked for today's freshly made kimchi, and was clearly told that the kimchi being handed to her was made today. However, when we opened the container at home to have our meal, it did not seem fresh. Upon checking the label, we discovered that the kimchi was actually made three days earlier, not today as stated. We completely understand that due to the snowstorm, many customers may not have been able to visit the store, and we are very sympathetic to the challenges that creates. That said, what disappointed us most was not the date itself, but being told it was made today when it was not. Especially when selling food to an elderly customer, honesty is something we value greatly. We have always trusted and appreciated your store, which is why this experience was particularly disheartening. To be clear, since you have stated your position clearly, I would also like to state mine clearly. In Korean cuisine, geotjeori (fresh kimchi) is considered fresh only on the day it is made--typically limited to that same day. This is why, in Korean restaurants, kimchi made that morning is what is referred to as "fresh." If kimchi was made three days prior, it would be more accurate to describe it as still sellable or edible, rather than calling it "fresh." My mother was very clear that she wanted kimchi that was heavily seasoned and made that day. That was her specific request. If anyone genuinely believes that a kimchi made three days ago can reasonably be sold and understood by customers as "fresh kimchi," I would sincerely like to know who would knowingly purchase it under that description. read more

Came here yesterday to pick up a light lunch but ended up getting enough food for dinner as well. Tried the white kimchi, soybean stew, veggie pancakes, japchae, chicken and dumplings. They were all delicious but for me the highlights were the dumplings and the white kimchi. The owner was extremely sweet and I'm so happy I found this gem. read more
