WARNING: They trap you in a three year commitment that automatically renews. They do not do anything to warn you that it will renew. Even if you have told them you do not wish to renew, they do it anyway. You become entangled in a new three-year commitment to the company. Worse, the liars demand that you must MAIL the notice to them, with return receipt, or they can continue your contract. A phone call is not enough. A dated or time-stamped email is not enough. This means you have to mail them a written request to cancel and track it to get out from under their thumb. Submit early documentation that you DO NOT intend to renew because otherwise they will take advantage of clauses in their contract to trap you against your will. Their contract explicitly states they take no liability for any faults of their equipment or its failure, including should their equipment be at fault for your harm. read more

I have been trying to cancel my services for the past two years. Superior Alarms was to upgrade our cellular connection two years ago and until now they have not, but they continue to charge my bank account. They hide behind their contracts without providing service. I have made countless calls to no avail. I have requested countless call backs from their leadership, but they hide behind their clerical staff. Thank you Mr. Y and Ms. V. Buyer beware. Will just try to take as much of your money as possible. 3 year commitment and you will be held accountable for your contract but they won't uphold their side of it. I had the police at my door multiple times because my system kept sending panic signals. They kept sending people who did not know how to do their job to "fix" our systems and they just ended up saying we needed to buy more equipment.I was also not told that you have to redo your contract every time you move. (So it's basically like a cult. Especially if you live in apartments.) and the contract automatically renews. They will be late every time they need to service your alarm system. Beware of David as he will call you a liar to your face on what he has sold to you. Hidden fees everywhere. Very disappointed in their services and in their customer service. read more

I wasn't completely happy from the start since they said they couldn't make the window alarms that were in place when we bought the house work and I refused to pay more to replace them. Not the way it was sold to us. Was not informed that it was a 3 year contract, but my bad, I missed that in the contract. Finally got to the end of the contract and asked that they come and turn off the display on the wall. I was told it would be an additional $65 to have a tech come out and "power down" the system. Guess I will live with it until I get angry enough and rip the wires out of the box. Never spoke to anyone there that wasn't rude. Done. read more

Read your contracts!!! Buyer beware! I signed a contract with superior alarms in 2013. The salesperson never once informed me verbally that the contract would automatically renew itself if I did not submit in writing a discontinuation notice within the 30 day period of it expiring. A few years later, I was shopping around and called them to find out the status of my contract. The lady on the phone told me I was no longer under contract but reviewed my billing statement with me. At that time I remained with superior alarms but I assumed I was on a month to month after the conversation I had with the representative. Just this last week I decided to switch systems and services. I called superior alarms to let them know that I would not be continuing service with them, and that was when they told me about the automatically renewed contract. She told me I would need to pay a early termination fee. I requested that she email me a copy of the original contract along with the early termination fee once they figured out what that would be (she couldn't give me that figure over the phone.) I never received the email. A few days later I get a phone call from a different women and she tells me that the early termination fee will be upwards of $700. So pretty much the remaining balance of the "new" contract. I told her that I was not going to pay for it. I have since done my research and found that it is legal in Texas for a company to slip in these auto renewal clauses... but just because it's legal doesn't make it right. And a renewal for 3 years?! And if you are looking for a security system, there is better technology and services out there. There is no need to sign a contract with a business that forces you to pay and remain a customer. read more

I have had great service for over 9 years. I receive notification in the mail every couple years when my contract is up for renewal and have been very pleased with the customer service. I would definitely recommend Superior Alarms. read more
