Enjoyed good service here for a while. Then they picked up a sweater for dry cleaning and never returned it. I have proof that they confirmed my pickup request and picked up the sweater (which I forwarded - along with a pic of the sweater - to a manager that I spoke to on one occasion, Jackie I believe) and for some inexplicable reason it can't be found. Ok, stuff happens. I get it. But then I spent MONTHS trying to get them to address the situation to no avail. Jackie never called me back despite repeated attempts to reach her. No one else got back to me either. They never found the sweater. And they never offered any form of compensation. They just kept dodging/ignoring my calls and giving me the run around until I gave up hope of ever getting a satisfactory resolution. So now I'm here. I won't ever give them my business again. I don't suggest you do either. To make a mistake is totally understandable. To not own it or fix it and just leave a longtime customer hanging is unforgivable. Don't expect Superior to deal with any service issues (which will inevitably happen) with professionalism. Because they won't. However I will say this: the front desk staff always tried to be helpful even though resolving a situation like this obviously isn't their responsibility. read more

I brought a suit for dry cleaning And a suit for allterations and to have suppeneder buttons added to both. I was told a certain day for pick up Nothing was ready because an employees emergency. Not a problem. I return 2 more times only to get a partial order The suit was pressed , and my jacket was altered but wrinkled. Ok not a big deal .the rest was promised to be ready on a day before I needed the pants to travel. The fouth trip back and the pants werent even started yet. I got a little loud no cursing ,just why wasnt it done in the agreed 3times. I was talking to a lady in the back of the shop she ask if I could come back later that afternoon. Then she said 1 hour. I then appolgize for being loud out of fustration and left came back an hour later. Shit happens I know this I smile walked in everybody is ok except one tall lady with blue hair cops a major attitude when I asked if they could press the pants because they were totaly wrinkeled. Now this woman Says how I was yelling at the girl that was dealing with me . Not true she was a girl that work the register (nice polite kid) I in no way addressed her in that manner. She was not the problem. I ask if they could press the pants they were wrinkled in a mess. This schrew then starts cursing at me telling on how the presser left and to bad. Then she brings in on how my male member is tiny, I then ask her why did she bring that up and how she was that part of her anatomy(yes I did called her the C word in response to her,Im 72 years I NEVER use that word before). It did shut her up. But I will never use your sevice again, totally un professional, and shitty work(the buttons added to suit were not placed propperly ,the buttons to close to the fly and couldnt button the pants and could not use the susenders I bought for the suit (I had to go out and buy clip on suspenders because of the inferior job done by your people ). You were highly recommended by the shop I bought the suit. Agian I will never recommend you,. The majority of your staff were very nice, apologetic for the multiple times I had to come because of whatever reason and were a pleasure to work with. Mediocre at best. If you want high end cleaners this is not the place. You can literally point things out to them and then get the item back and it is not clean. I deal in vintage clothing so I expect that some things just don;t come out, but I brought a pair of dress pants with stains on the inside pockets and along the inside waistband, and pointed out the areas I hoped to get clean, and when I picked them up the woman said "we don't clean the insides" which surprised me, but this is the kind of place this is--no real investment in doing the best job. If I had known they ignore the linings I would have brought them elsewhere. In the suburbs this passes for a great cleaner. They do tons of business, but are definitely not Manhattan level service. read more

I'm admittedly "dry cleaner picky". Having been in the clothing business for many years & using various dry cleaners & tailoring services over many years, I've found Superior to be not so superior.....they are adequate. The dry cleaner on Mill Plain Rd. was the one I used since moving up to Danbury. Unfortunately, they closed during covid...a shame...they were wonderful. They had a personable counterperson, fair prices & did a really nice job. These are all the things I find lacking in Superior. Their intake staff ( mostly men) do not seem like they want to be there or care at all about the clothing items or requests. Tailoring prices seem quite high for any of the jobs I've asked about. Anything I've gotten processed there has come back alright...no disasters ...nothing showing that they have taken any extra care or gone "the extra mile" which I've found to be what most really good dry cleaners do. They seem expensive for what they are...very, very basic dry cleaning with no spark of customer service. ( an e-mail from time to time does not count as customer service) read more

They are a busy dry cleaner but will totally ruin your clothing if you go there. My 70 dress shirt from banana republic was cut by one of the workers there and they told me they would call me to find a solution to repay me. They never called and i visited the store three times before i just picked up the ruined shirt and brought it home. At first they said they know what caused the damage and then they told me the shirt was too expensive to purchase for me. They ruined one shirt and bent the collar on another. Was in town for a last minute wedding and they turned around my suit within a day, it looked great and the price was super fair.

The seamstress did a fantastic job shortening and hemming my gown. I brought the gown in to the shop 4 days before my son's wedding (on a Tuesday) and she had it ready on Thursday. As I watched her measure and mark the gown, I could tell that she knew what she was doing. That made me feel confident to leave my beautiful and expensive gown with her. I dropped off a dress recently and was quoted $12.99 to dryclean it--with a written ticket and everything. When I came to pick it up, I was charged over $27, because they said it was a prom dress. That was true. It was, in fact, a sheath gown with a small train--plain and simple with no beading or pleats, etc. However, if you are a business and give a quote, you should honor it. When I pointed out my written ticket, the young woman behind the counter merely gave the same response, that it was a prom dress and the price was now $27 and change. Despite that I was being charged over double the amount quoted, at that moment, with two other customers waiting, I decided not to make a big deal of it, and paid the full amount. I recently picked up my dry cleaning from them and I am absolutely disappointed with what I paid for. I had some staining on 2 pairs of pants. After receiving them back one has a note saying we couldn't remove the stain and still charged me the full price to clean it. The other pair didn't have a note and the stains are still on the pants also getting charged full price. I called them and they said still cleaned them and charge the full price. If this is a great dry cleaner they will either charge nothing or half price. I went to another dry cleaner and they didn't charge me because they where unsuccessful getting the stains out.
