I like this laundromat in that the equipment is all new, it is not usually crowded, the staff is…read morereally nice, it is (IMPORTANT) well-air conditioned (I am a winter girl and I strongly dislike the summer and the heat) -- but there is one MAJOR issue with it -- no matter what washer I use there -- and I have sensitive skin and use unscented, dye-free detergent, and my clothes always come out smelling like weird perfume. I've actually been unable to get the smell OUT of some clothes so I stopped going there, because it smells like old lady perfume or something and is strong. Once, I did my sheets there and had to re-do them all, because my bed smelled like a herd of old ladies or weird white ladies with bad taste from department stores were sleeping in it. I used to always go to the other one on Main Ave. -- which has a severe lack of washers because the staff uses them and does not care if there are none for customers and will let stuff sit in dryers for a considerable amount of time, even if people are waiting to use them. They suggested East Ave, and like I said, great facility, great people, but I don't understand the perfume smell. If it happened once, I'd not complain -- but it happened more than once, and I really don't like the time waste of doing laundry as it is, so having to do it twice is just painful to me. Maybe they'll look into it. I know I have a bit of a wolf nose, but it IS strong and my husband noticed it, too, since I never smell like old white lady.

The dryers are $.50 for 10 minutes and they're very large. The waiting area is very nice and looks updated. The rug looks new and clean. The person who works here seems reasonably nice and helpful. She came over and showed me how to use the dryer. The only reason it didn't get five stars is the bathroom is not ADA compliant as the ADA handrails are falling off. But that's it. Oh yes, and very important, lots of parking and they have a basket that you can put your stuff in a roll out to your car.

Horrible. I felt like my clothes got dirtier than before the wash…read more Cleanliness- the place-not bad. I've been to worse ones. The machine- yeah, wipe down the rims before you start. Assistance- expect none, because you won't get one. If you dare to try, they have 'helping numbers' posted. Machines- $4 for small washer, $$6.75 for medium. 34 minutes. The first 5 min - I guess supposed to be pre wash cycle? 11min for the spin cycle. So the actual wash cycle less than 20 min. Now let's talk about the small machine I used- it had 4 compartment for the content you can put in. I added powder detergent ( i had to buy a boxed detergent) in the correct main detergent compartment as it's indicated in the picture. The detergent made its way into the machine during the main wash AND during the rinse! I'm not coming back here. Next time- the Norwalk one.
