The Louisville Recreation & Senior Center has a scope and quality that you don't typically associate with a city-run facility. From the moment you step inside, it's clear this place was built with intention. The indoor track is clean, well-maintained, and practical -- ten laps to a mile, which makes it easy to track your progress without doing mental gymnastics. But the real standout for me was the cardio area and its view of the Flatirons. Working out with that backdrop isn't something you forget quickly. It shifts the whole experience from routine to something a little more elevated. The aquatics side is equally impressive. We're talking a six-lane, 25-meter lap pool alongside a program pool, a splash pool with a lazy river, a hot tub, sauna, steam room, and a cold plunge. Whether you're training seriously or just moving your body, the options are genuinely deep. I swam today and the water quality and lane availability were both solid. Beyond fitness, the senior center component is thoughtfully integrated -- not tucked away as an afterthought but woven into the full facility with its own lounge, library, games room, and fireplace. The Platinum Membership for seniors runs just $12/year for residents, which is almost comically good value given what's available here. This is a place that works for serious athletes, casual movers, older adults looking for community, and families with kids in tow. Louisville quietly built something worth the drive.

Louisville Rec Center is hands down one of the best gyms I've been to. The facility is super clean,…read morethe equipment is well-maintained, and there's plenty of space no matter how busy it gets. The staff is always friendly and helpful, which makes the whole experience even better. I really like the variety they offer too--from weights and cardio to courts and recovery areas. It's a great spot whether you're just getting started or already locked in on your fitness goals. Definitely recommend if you're trying to stay consistent and level up your workouts!

At the time I was unaware that the business establishment still required masks to be worn. I entered without one. The 2 registration clerks rudely told me to put a mask on and promptly handed me a mask, to which I replied that I had a mask in my pocket. I took it out of my pocket, just after the clerk again rudely told me to put it on immediately to which I obliged. I put my mask on, completed checking in and proceeded to the Laboratory waiting area. There was no further discussion on masks. No confrontation and no refusal on my part. To my knowledge all was well. Today however, I received an email from my employer that a CMC employee submitted a complaint, stating that I refused to wear my mask. Not only did the employee that called, blatantly LIE she also went through my personal file to find out MY personal work information. I want to preface that to my knowledge all mask mandates had been lifted in the state of Colorado, so any mask requirement currently in place is related to the individual business policy/preference and NOT legally law or mandate. Additionally I would confidently request the office to pull up surveillance tapes in the lobby that show me wearing a mask with no objection. I strongly advice Community Medical Center to better inform their employees of what is and isn't acceptable in their profession. Starting with client confidentially and personal integrity. The employee clearly took unacceptable action for personal leverage, not based on honesty or fact. This is not only a breech in patient confidentiality it's additionally defamation of character and false accusation. I would greatly appreciate if a representative from human resources would contact me regarding this matter. Furthermore I don't recommend Community Medical center Lafayette for any health or wellness needs.

How it works, usually, is old folks who don't want to (or can't) live on their own any longer move into one of the apartments in independent living, then, as they become older and/or more frail, they can move into assisted living. And from assisted living they can move into the health care center. Independent living consists of three main buildings, Frasier Central, Frasier North, and Frasier South. Each building has four floors and about 100 or so apartments. The people who live there drive cars, have pets, and pretty much do anything you would do in your home, with the exception of having a little extra assistance, such as laundry and activities, if needed. The assisted living building is the former health care center. It is one floor with around 100 rooms. The people who live here are generally more frail, need assistance with meals and laundry; basic every day things that we all do. It is the middle ground in Frasier, people here are not yet totally dependent on others, but not totally independent either. The health care center building sits in the middle, is three years old, and quite possibly the nicest of its type in the state. People who live here are either from independent living, working with rehab, or from assisted living, needing total care, or from the outside community needing rehab. The prices are not cheap. Most people who live here have made some money in their day. Prices range from $1,300 to $3,300 per month in Independent living. There is also an option to buy an apartment for $85,000 for a "deluxe" studio to $550,000 for a two bedroom. Assisted living prices range from $2,700 t0 $7,700 per month. Health care center fees are around $200 a day for a bed in the skilled nursing section. Mind you, all these prices vary based on whether or not you are a member of the community, and to become a member it is a hefty $31,000-$64,000, nonrefundable. Damn! A rich-ass manor, indeed. Now Frasier Meadows itself is a non-profit, church related company that owns two other communities in Colorado. So yeah, definitely not cheap, but as I said before, this is one of the best, if not THE best retirement communities in the state. Frasier also accepts medicare and medicaid insurance, which might help lower the costs somewhat. Still, you get what you pay for, and if you are aging and have some dough this place is pretty sweet: they have tons and tons of different rooms and amenities, such as barber, library, history room, Boulder over-look, etc. If your parents are aging and you have some dough and want them to be will taken care of, this place will definitely do the trick. All of course for about 2x the amount of money I make in a year.

The food was pretty darn good, too, considering it's an institution. I stayed three weeks and, while they didn't seem to particularly need it, I even left a sizable donation at checkout. I, of course, had read about the construction of these facilities, but the reality blew me away. We mostly wandered around awestruck at the scope and quality of what CSU has created for their branch in Denver. There are three buildings, each with a different focus. Hydro deals with water, Terra with food, and Vida with animal health, including the Temple Grandin Equine Center and a partnership with Humane Colorado. These are research/education centers with a strong connection to the public via labs, workshops, and interactive exhibits. CSU experts in agriculture, water quality, and veterinary science provide K-12 programs, summer camps, and higher education as a hub for innovation and community engagement. Major components of Hydro include the Denver Water Quality Laboratory, the CSU offices, multiple conference rooms and classrooms, multiple exhibits about water, the Confluence Theater, the Hydro Teaching Lab, the Sensory Room, a nicely landscaped outdoor patio, and the Little Finch coffee shop/café. Terra offers a teaching kitchen; labs for sensory testing, dairy, produce, and meat; the community food/sensory garden; conference rooms; the Controlled Environment Horticulture Lab; multiple exhibits; classrooms; the Learning Lab; labs for microbiology, molecular biology, water, instruments, and soil/plants; and the hydroponic greenhouse. The key features of Vida are the Humane Colorado Veterinary Hospital, the Temple Grandin Equine Center, and the Equine Sports Medicine Rehabilitation and Conditioning Center. Other highlights are extensive art exhibits, the virtual reality anatomy classroom, the observation areas for the on-view surgical suite and spay/neuter clinic; and observation of the horse arena and the Sports Medicine rehabilitation facilities plus numerous exhibits throughout the building explaining all of these functions. Thank goodness for the coffee shop as we were overwhelmed just by the experience of walking through the buildings and needed a break to regroup. These facilities are amazing and many functions are available to the public for help, inquiry, and learning.

This includes any scope within ten years ago, since that's the general recommendation. This means I'm stuck with nearly $1800 out of pocket to GI of the Rockies, as well as several hundred more for lab work and the the Doctor's fee. If you've no insurance, expect 6-10 Thousand! I have never in my life experienced this type of gouging. Even over 20 years ago when I did need yearly colonoscopies, insurance paid in full. Apparently, there's more money to be made by up charging the patient for diagnostic billing. My last test was 8 years ago and was clean, except for a couple of small Polyps, which is typical.
