Worked with Shelby and Brandon over at Superior concrete. We had hired another company to build our pool and they subcontracted with Superior. Everyone was very professional and friendly. Our concrete had developed cracks the day after pour. We all had been suprised but it was very windy the evening after pouring and our house backs up to a natural ravine. So the wind kicks up and whips around the house. Shelby and Brandon came back and pulled up all the concrete that cracked and replaced it to make sure we stayed happy. We will definitely be using them again. Already looking for front yard qoute for steps and driveway extension. read more

I had no idea the number of considerations that could go into designing a new driveway and back patio area. They knew exactly what do to do. The colored, stamped concrete also came out better than I ever could have imagined. The drainage system was also built beyond my expectations. I'm glad I found a contractor with a concrete and general contracting license. The pictures on their website speak volumes about the quality of their work. We decided to take a chance on an "owner builder" pool/spa construction and added a backyard renovation project this summer. What an experience and it all ended better than expected. Mainly due to our sub selections. I'm great at managing a project and keeping a tight schedule, but had zero experience in construction. Most subs had anywhere from 1-5 days of work for their specialty, but the Masonry/Concrete portion involved the significant portion of the time/work/budget. Picking the right Masonry/Concrete company was crucial. Brandon was there every step of the way and always responded to my calls/texts/emails in a timely manner and always gave me the straight answer whether good or bad. I'm extremely picky and have high expectations. I live for details! Brandon and his Team played the game and humored my crazy demands and all the small areas that I wanted corrected to my vision. It's not easy to do a job for me to fit my expectations, so I can't say enough about their professionalism. Still need to save $$ to add the BBQ Equipment and add the Patio Cover so the project is not complete, but it is for now. At the end of the day, I wouldn't hesitate using them again for future projects (not sure if they feel the same in return, hehehe) and will refer to family and friends. read more

Brandon and his team were not able to complete the total job on schedule as discussed and I was not informed of this until 3 days prior to the time sensitive deadline. Left a mess in the front yard from the concrete poor in back. Lack of attention to detail, I had to micro manage everything. Would not recommend. read more

Reading some of these reviews I am wondering where this Kelly and team were when our pool deck was subbed out to them. Instead of Superior showing up, it was Inferior Concrete who showed. On numerous occasions Kelly said his team would do something and it didn't get done. He would instruct his guys to do something and they would leave the job 30 minutes after he did without completing what they were told to do. There idea of cleaning up at the end of the day was dumping all unused concrete, and cleaning there wheelbarrows out and dumping it on a pile of decorative rock and pavers I had piled in a corner of my yard for a future project. Kelly assured me one time on a Tuesday that they would be completed by Friday only to not have anyone show up till the following week. Cracks in our new concrete after just a couple of weeks were addressed as "it's concrete, it's going to crack". Sloppy stress joints and seams were typical of the work that was done as well. They also failed to put an expansion joint around our raised spa, and had to cut one in after the fact and damaged some of our tile. There is more but this is getting pretty lengthy and I think I have gotten my point across. If your general contractor has Superior show up as a sub on your project, lock your gates. Sloppy and ship-shod work at best. read more

I used Superior Concrete for the foundation of my new home. They came highly recommended and did a great job. 8 months later I a being sued due to Kelly not paying for the concrete. Have been calling on a regular basis. Now apparently my calls are being blocked as can no longer get through. Strong suggestion, pay for the material directly to the vendor. Should you decide to hire this company, be mindful what you are hiring them for. Very good at hardscape, and have a tendency to over commit on other parts of a project, like artificial turf. My advice, only hire for hardscape. Save the frustration you may face by thinking one size fits all for the entire project. Sub with others for planting, fencing, woodworking and more. This is a follow up to my previous review. Today we received a preliminary notice from Superior's concrete supplier to place LIEN ON OUR HOME. We paid Superior Concrete in full over a month ago and they have NOT paid their supplier/vendor. Now WE are at risk because they have not paid for over $1,000 in supplies! Not only are they horrible to their customers, but they don't pay their vendors! These vendors can legally come after us as homeowners, which is exactly what they are doing! I went to their office location today and a staff member confirmed that the invoice/bill has not been paid. This project began three months ago... it was completed a month ago and we are still having problems with them. This entire experience has been a nightmare. They have a beautiful website with beautiful photographs... I highly recommend you look past this and find a different company. Save yourself the time. This has been terrible! read more

My husband and I chose Superior Concrete to redo our concrete for our back patio. Their crews were amazingly fast and knew exactly what they were doing. Everyday there was a different crew that specialize in each step of the process (demo, digging trenches, building the frame, pouring the concrete, etc.). They worked hard and I never saw them just sitting around. They kept our site super clean and did a fantastic job. We were looking to have concrete work in our backyard. I was getting together estimates. I left two messages at the beginning of the week before I got a return phone call back at the end of the week. When they finally returned my call, I was busy and need to call them back. So I did today. When I got on the phone with a gentlemen, I Believe Brian was his name. He asked if I knew square footage, which I didn't. I explained I was hoping we could get the measurements when we did the job walk. He proceeded to tell me that the square footage would depend on if they would take the job or not. My father is a General Contractor with 30+ years experience. I started answering phones, took messages, typed up bids, since I was 8 for him. Also was taught the proper way to treat people. Even possibly put them in touch with the right person even if it was not us. People appreciated that. I would never start a conversation that way. They provided services for many phases of the construction and, while we had a many problems along the way with time commitments, namely appointment scheduling and being stood up, they saw their work through and provided us with a finished project that we are happy with. There were some imperfections in the artificial turf that we were unhappy with, but Superior stood behind their work, corrected the issue, and left us satisfied. Contacted Superior in regards to a front patio extension I'm looking to have done. Simple concrete, small block wall with columns. Giving them an estimate of linear feet of wall and the est. yardage of concrete needed. I received an email stating that an estimator would contact me soon. OVER A WEEK LATER I received an email saying, "sorry, but I don't think will can offer you a competitive bid" UMM WHAT???? Is this not what you guys do???? After several meetings and providing drawings and pictures of the work we wished bid on Brandon missed the dates he offered to have bid completed by and has had no follow up or explanation. Doesn't return texts or phone calls. If this is typical of service during bidding, I can only imagine what it's like once contract accepted. Trust and completion to client satisfaction are my most important criteria for a contractor and what I received from Superior Concrete. This was my second project with them following a previous satisfactory experience. My review would have been a 5 Star except for some communication issues and scheduling delays which they have acknowledged on their end. Ultimately though the job was finished to my expectations which included Superior Concrete absorbing the cost of some necessary corrections. My project involved a number of components that were not directly related to concrete/masonry which ended up requiring the addition of an outside contractor to be brought in, again at the expense of Superior Concrete, to have the job done as promised. All construction involves frustrations and hopefully communication between clients and Superior Concrete can be enhanced to achieve the 5 Stars their concrete work deserves. Buyers Beware!!!! This is not a truthful or credible company! I worked really well with Keith Shafer throughout the project, but he made promises that they did not keep. We spent approximately $30k with Superior concrete to do our front yard and backyard. Well we had a tree die and some defective artificial grass. We were promised multiple times(yes, i saved all the e-mails) that they would replace the tree and grass. Well the owner KELLY DICKERSON repeatedly told me that he had to contact the grass company and just to wait for him to get back to me. Of course, months went by and now he is no longer responding to me at all. So frustrating that i have to print 50 e-mails and take all of these people and contractors to court over a probably simple fix on their end. Just goes to show you that no matter how much you spend on the work, their true reputation comes out at the end. The funny thing is they did nice work, but unfortunately their customer services sucks! I've had many people stop by my house and ask for the number of the people who did my yard, and of course, i do not pass on the info! So they have probably lost out on a lot of jobs! Shame!
