I had them come out and they took measurements of the patio and side yard for a paver installation and retaining wall. They provided a brochure from the paver vendor and we selected one that we liked. The price was on the high side but I felt pretty comfortable selecting them. We ended up scheduling the work late March but they ended up with a delay on their other job so they ended up starting early on my job. They came on site Monday thru Friday to work. Jorge mentioned that they have a full crew so I felt they were making good progress throughout mid March and early April. While I am not generally knowledgable in paver or wall installation, I did not see any obvious flaws in the work. The edges where the paver met the fence or wall were cut with precision. The boxes for the drainage in the paver installation were a lot better than my previous construction at another property. I had a great experience with SoCal Pavers & Turf. I had a fence knocked down due to the high winds and Jorge was able to quickly come to my residence to assess the situation and provide me with a quote and time of completion. We received 5-6 other automated quotes from YELP as well. Jorge offered a significantly lower price and time of completion, which were both very important for us. Most companies quoted a 95 foot block wall to take 5-7 days. Jorge told us 2-3 days and was able to meet that deadline. Honestly, his price was 25-40% cheaper than all the other quotes I received. The Work: The wall came out great. They followed city code and the team was very thorough. The wall is much straighter than the previous fence that we had. Jorge showed me the work along the way during the entire project to keep me posted often asking thoughtful questions to make sure we were aware of everything going on. His Team: Other than the price and time of completion, we were also very impressed with his team. They were a hard working team who were very polite and respectful. They were also respectful to the neighbors as well as people walking by in the neighborhood. They pressure washed the concrete and walls afterwards, which was a complementary service and left their work areas clean. We had a tree knocked over as well. Jorge offered to chop it up and left it for us as firewood, which was another complementary service. Overall, the communication with Jorge was exceptional. The team arrived when they said they would and completed the project within the projected time frame. We had several people come by for estimates but after our initial meeting with Jorge, my husband and I both knew that he was the man for our job. NEEDED: Repair to my artificial grass So we had a mainline leak That went from our house to the curb and our great plumber did a fine job repairing the leak but he had no clue on how to properly replace the soil and resew the grass seam. The look was so embarrassing that our neighbor with brown grass pointed at my grass and said "what's wrong with your grass bro" Since they were here I asked them to also check out the backyard and why it stunk so bad. He informed me that while my grass is high-quality, the installers of my grass (not these guys), put a barrier between the soil and the grass and that is why my grass stinks--the urine can't get thru. So he provided me with some enzymes that I'm gonna have to put on more frequently because of that barrier.
