Left my house an absolute mess. Uses the hole saw to cut holes in the ceiling and doesn't put down any tarps whatsoever. When he spackled the drywall, a ton of the mud was left on the floors so it has been a full time job trying to scrape it all off, and it still isn't done. A light in the bedroom doesn't work, another ceiling fan light doesn't work, a light he was supposed to put in the closet never got installed. Once I paid him in full prior to the job being done he stopped being as responsive and I currently don't even know what's going on with the rest of this. I'll have to hire another electrician to come out and finish the job. Super nice guy and down to earth. I must say that I was very fortunate to have been able to hire Larry. Not only was he super responsive. He came over the next morning and provided a bid. Which was actually a fair price compared to other estimates I got. He completed a laundry list of items for me. With recessed lighting in 3 major rooms. Required several new light switch re-wiring as well as exterior outlets and many other things. He was very precise and did an excellent job! Called them again after he left and they just ripped this out. It was fine yesterday. Had a bad experience with Larry. Showed up 40 mins late Replaced breaker Our power was completely out when he said he "fixed the problem" and asked for payment. He was trying to leave as quickly as possible. New breaker didn't fix problem (things happen, we know not every problem can be fixed right away) but Larry avoided answering what the problem was and how we could fix it. Claimed parts were $60, only showed receipts for $29.85 Screamed at my grandmother and I when we challenged the fairness of the situation Frantically removed all the new parts and drove away when we mentioned someone was coming out to take a second look. Called Superior needing 5 ceiling fans installed and to properly wire outside garage driveway lights on an app switch currently on a 3 way switch. Larry and his very charming and beautiful daughter Nicole showed up and got em all wired up, installed properly, and working and looking wonderful! 2 of the ceiling fans have energy efficient DC motors and somewhat "non-standard" wiring they are 72" which are fairly large man do they work great both rooms these bad boys are in have very nice circulation now and all the new fans look totally gnarly 2 thumbs waaaay up for Superior Larry and Nicole are a good team cleaned up after themselves and are very nice to work with I'll be getting them back here for more work in the future I have more gnarly items on tap that'll require electric help! I agree with all the one star reviews I have seen on Larry. Sadly i hired him and he left a mess all over everything. He's cheap and wont even buy a tarp or something to cover peoples belongings while working over things. He also didn't even have cleaning supplies, and kept asking to use my things. (Next day i notice measure tape is gone. Hoping that's all is missing.) The work he did was just prep work, drilling holes (two) and running 3 feet of conduit. That took him 6 hours. That's part of it. The other fun part was he quoted me $1,000.00 on the job and required $700 down. After poking him for his information over and over.. I pay him. But the day he's suppose to show up he doesn't show, call, text, or nothing. At this point I have texted him and left voicemails asking where he was. After an hour i left to run some errands and after i leave he shows up with NO call or anything. I ask where he is and what's going on and he begins cussing at me about how he doesn't have to tell me anything and doesn't need to take shit from me... All i asked was where are you and what's going on???? All he wanted to do was play the 12 year old game and give excuses about why he was late but didn't want to mention communication at all. He tried to argue that i didn't call or text. Like it really matters?? we had a date and time if you going to be late you let me know I'm the one paying you. We needed a 240v plug for our electric vehicle, so we could get a faster (level 2) charge. Larry was not only quick to reply and provide an affordable and detailed estimate, but he was also able to schedule us for service quickly. Larry explained that the quote would only change if the plug was needed far away from the breaker box. He also provided a window of time for when we could expect him (only a one hour window instead of the four hour window that most companies give), and he sent a message when he was on his way. Larry was a very friendly and knowledgeable electrician. Unfortunately my older home through him for a loop. We hired him to do several jobs at my house, with varying difficulty. Installing extra outlets went smoothly, but the work that required him to enter the attic was very rough. He first told me all the work would take a half a day's work. He ended up coming back for three long, uncomfortable days. We had to do a lot of cleaning up after him each day which was exhausting. This included sweeping up insulation that was tracked all over the house from the attic, snips of wire and screws left on the floor, dirty hand prints on the walls and doors, putty/spackle dripped on the floors, and scuffs on the ceiling from his ladder. After three days of him saying "just another hour or so" we ended up cutting him loose from the contract with the last bathroom undone. We have another company coming in to finish the job. Larry's prices were low, he seemed to have good reviews on Yelp so we gave him a try - but I think he just bit off more than he could chew on this one. read more
