If there was an option for zero stars I would choose it. Called superior propane regarding junk mail and up selling literature to my home in Kamloops BC. I do not have propane in my home and suspect that previous homeowner may have had large tank for heat. Nevertheless, I called superior propane to take me off mailing list as the junk mail continually delivered from this company was a nuisance and in addition,not contributing to the environment. I was on hold for 45 minutes before a representative named Jasmine answered. I stated my issue and she said that it had nothing to do with them. I was perplexed as to how a mail flyer and notice with advertising from Superior Propane with my home address and other numerical codes all over printed on this notice/advertisement cannot be from superior propane. I tried explaining this but she had a hard time comprehending my explanation as simple as it was. She put me on hold again and for another 45 minutes and did not answer again after placing me on hold the second time. I found this service to be despicable and unacceptable. I'm not surprised of the amount of negative reviews this company has. My personal view, stay away from this company at all costs and seek an alternative company that actually has the concept of customer service. read more

I was a customer of Kern River Propane. Disabled, limited income, living in a RV. June 2020 the employee brought a 25 gal tank full to go with my two 7 gals. He did that out of pocket trusting my word to pay on arrival. By Nov 2020 housebound. Each Autumn they came filled all tanks to get me through winter. Last year being sold to Superior Plus Propane. Called yesterday (at 25 degrees by 7:30a) to schedule delivery & was advised they will NOT service the little orders any longer. That's pretty heartless. These folks run a very nice office and shop. We needed to fill our motorhome propane tank plus fix an ancillary LP hose to use smaller tanks should we run low on propane in the main tank and be too far from a refill station--so for convenience it's nice to be able to hook up to a smaller tank we carry as a spare. While it was a challenge, Jorge found a simple answer and made the necessary repairs. What an asset to this locally owned business--Jorge while being knowledgeable in plumbing propane gas lines on a Motorhome, is very personable--just as the two ladies in the office were knowledgeable, courteous and helpful to getting us set up with a same day appointment. This company rips you off. I was on the auto fill and started tracking my usage. We use them for a 2nd home and we keep our house at 50 degrees when we are not there. We had a new baby and ended up going to the house twice in 5 months. Because the house was cold and we were not using showers, stove, fireplace etc there is no way we used what they say we did. I finally put something on the tank to track it. I'm sure my usage per year will decline. I'm taking off auto fill and watching it on my own. When I called to complain they blamed my gauge, that has been 100% reliable for 3 years. read more

I have used Superior Propane since 2008 when we added on to our property and wanted something more than a wood burning stove for our heating. I count on them to keep my tank from running out throughout the winter, and they always come through. They have cone out and run checks when I questioned the amount of usage, and they are helpful, dependable and cooperative with me as a customer and homeowner. read more

We were on our way turkey hunting near the Grand Canyon when the propane hose on our travel trailer sprung a leak. We pulled into Superior Propane and they built us a new hose and replaced it in 15 minutes and we were on our way again! Super friendly and professional staff and awesome service! read more

They supplied new equipment when we started service with them and their field personnel were Courteous and professional. We were on the monthly rate. They require auto pay for the service. When I couldn't afford the new year rate I didn't sign up. They took almost $600 out of my account at once, throwing all my finances in a whirl. I had to stop payment so my mortgage didn't bounce. I tried to talk to the office person about it but they charged me a $36 fee and the lady was so rude and compassionate to me when I tried to explain that you just can't do that to people,take that kind of money out without warning. Not only did they show no mercy but they did not change a policy that could potentially hurt their customer's financially. I was paying every time they auto filled. That put me somewhere between $1,100 to $1,500.a year. This year without the auto full service I still have 23% propane in my tank from my last fill which was close to a year ago. I recommend no auto fill or pay with this company. They do show up though which is why the two stars instead of one. read more

On Friday of Labor Day weekend after being referred there by the nice people in true value hardware store the workers of Superior Propane had me fixed up with a new regulator and topped off my tank, service tech was very friendly and knowledgeable coupled with the behind the desk ladies knowing exactly what was needed. read more

Horrible service!!!! Worst company I have ever delt with. The receptionist when you call has NO idea what is going on or what is scheduled. When you delete the account and try to have them pick up the old tank that looks like it is 50 years old, they will break onto your property and take there old tank without authorization when you are not there.
