The phone was not working in the rental, it was snowing very badly, cell phone reception was not available in the rental area, and when we informed the Dan/Maureen/John, their response was sorry, nothing we can do ! We could've had a heart attack 3 AM at night, with no way to even call 911. There was no shovelling service available. We were completely snowed under that weekend, neighbouring houses had the service, but I guess Big Trees Vacation rentals did not set this up at all. When we called, their response was, it did not snow so badly ( ..implying we're lying ! ) And then when we came back, we get a call from Maureen saying there was some spot on the floor and they charged us the entire security deposit ( $150 for a simple floor cleaning ? ). We'd asked for pictures ( before/after ), so we could see what we'd supposedly done, but none came our way, and they just charged our card. All in all a very poor experience. Would not recommend to anyone.

She began to explain to us that she was not going to let me, my wife and my real estate agent view the property unless we had a printed pre approval letter to show proof of funds. I explained that I had it on email but she told us to go get a printed copy. She was very difficult to speak with. She turned away a guy in a truck as we were walking up, and she turned away another family as we were leaving. Her Century 21 website shows her to have great reviews from sellers but today she was not doing very good. I wouldn't let her sell my house.

21 SIERRA PROPERTY THE WORST Last New Years Eve we rented a…read morehome for a 3 day weekend. We had 2 adults with disabilities, which we advised 21 Sierra Properties. Our rental had an elevator and a hot tub. The elevator worked for 2 hours. We contacted 21 Sierra and they could not send anyone out till the next day. After waiting 2 hours for a late arrival, the repair person told us they just were out here last week to repair and this time they were unable to repair the elevator. Without an elevator we could not leave to go to the snow & leave our mothers at home. We also had to pay $75 to use the hot tub. The $75 was to cover cleaning & chemicals for the hot tub. The hot tub was not clean and did not have chemicals. The water was stagnant and full of bubbles & scum. The response to our dissatisfaction with the condition of the 6 bedroom rental was, we are sorry for the condition of the rental, but we can't do anything about it. We had to carry our mothers down all the stairs and could / would not use the hot tub in that condition. 21 Sierra would not even refund the $75 we paid for a clean hot tub usage. The worst rental company we ever used for a vacation and we would never use them or recommend them to anyone. We have however, told everyone we know of the unprofessional manner this vacation rental company is run.

They refunded the cleaning fee but ghosted us via email after we inquired and followed up about getting more compensation for the mold, filth and unusable cookware in the kitchen. Photos speak for themselves. I posted review to their website for the Huckleberry House where I rented and it is not shown .. how convenient. What is shown is a few 5 stars from several years ago about it being so "clean". FALSE ADVERTISING. Lucky they don't allow reviews on their Facebook or else I would stick these photos there as well.

I definitely recommend NOT using Cedar Creek Realty for anything.

But when we arrived an hour after check-in time, the snow from the previous day was not plowed from the driveway and it was impossible to drive down to the house. Instead, we had to drive up to a gas station to call about it, and wait for an hour until it was cleared. But then once we drove down to the house, the walk from the driveway to the house was not cleared and was impassable. At least three feet of snow in addition to higher drifts blocked our way, and we had to dig out a path to get to the front door. By this time it was almost dark. The dishes in the dishwasher were dirty and even after we ran them through the dishwasher, food was still caked on and we had to wash them by hand to get them clean. The bedroom carpet was not vacuumed and there was even a big dead spider on the mattress cover when I pulled down the bedspread to make the bed. Also no hatchet to cut kindling or wood for the fireplace. On our last day, the ceiling in the kitchen started leaking from the melting snow piled on the deck above it, and we had to clean up the water and set out pots. I realize things don't always go smoothly and weather conditions can be a challenge in the mountains, but it seemed little effort had been made to accommodate our arrival aside from turning on the heat. I can say that the house was warm and in other ways comfortable and well set up. However, when I spoke to the agent about the circumstances, she became defensive and offered no apology or attempt to make things right. Her attitude was not helpful or appreciated.

He helped us from the beginning to the close of our property- from suggestions on repairs, improvements to make per our request for his insights to connecting us to locals who could do the work we wanted, to his thorough marketing and excellent follow through - it was a very positive experience. This was displayed by her always siding with the potential trial buyers for items that needed to be taken care of, putting invoices in escrow that I had already paid (these shouldn't be in escrow anyway as the agreement is with me and the company, not the escrow account), and just overall lack of concern with representing me. The cabin did sell fairly quickly and I received asking price, which was great. The icing on the cake and the evidence that supports my feeling regarding Heidi is that after the deal was finished, even with complications, I did not hear anything from her. No "Thank You " or anything. As I have dear with many real estate transactions , this seemed odd. With an 18k dollar commission paid I would think that there would be some kind of appreciation or less then a months worth of work. I will definitely look at reviews for any new purchases I have in the area. The market is hit up there, even during COVID-19, so do your research before selecting a realtor.
