Russell gave me a high level overview of his process of cleaning, deodorizing, and treating the carpet. Just with this, this overview, I began to feel pretty darn hopeful that he would do a great job. Russell arrived on time; actually I ran behind and had to call to ask Russell for more time to move the furniture. He gladly said that wouldn't be a problem; then offered to come on over and move the furniture away from the soiled areas! His process began with retreating the carpet and the heavily soiled areas. Dirt and heavy traffic spots weren't so much my trouble areas, but instead I have pet stains. He then treated those areas with gentle, natural and chemical products to break down the urine stains. Next, he thoroughly cleaned the carpet. He went over the area 2x and gave extra attention to the heavy areas. After the intense cleaning, he treated and deodorized. The carpet was dry by the end of the day. There was no in and out steam job here, All in all the job took about 2 hours; Russell didn't leave until he was certain the carpet looked as best it could. He took care in his work and it showed. 2 days later he gave me a follow up call and I was happy to say no stains resurfaced and the carpet smelled fresh and clean. A month later and carpet still looks great.

Came back the next morning- floors weren't mopped, nothing dusted, baseboards dirty, and the TOILET hadnt been touched. It wasn't even a "regular" clean! Reached out to the company, they said they'd sens someone by 11:30a (I was on a timeline this day). At 1:30p someone showed up (at this point I had had to cancel two appointments). They would not refund my money, and after the 2nd hour of waiting offered me $40 off. At that point I wanted to just punt and leave. Walked the next person through what hadn't been done. Went to eat and came back, she said she had 20 min left, I noticed the baseboards in the kitchen still weren't clean so pointed them out to her. Came back today and the baseboards are still filthy. Got on my hands and knees and cleaned them myself. FLEE from this company and find a decent place that won't screw you over.

They were late, did not adhere to pandemic safety standards, were rude, charged higher fees at the last minute, and did a lousy job that left my house smokey after using it. INTERACTION * The person I spoke with said it'll be a "level 2 " service (pretty standard across the industry). They quoted me 280. * Technician was an hour and half late without giving me any updates. * Raphael came to my house, to which I asked him to wear booties over his shoes. He said he'll be in/out the house a lot so I compromised as long as it was limited to the chimney area. Later he wore his dirty shoes through my hallway and into the bathroom and demanded a bottled water to drink too. I could have denied, but I tried to show hospitality but he didn't reciprocate. * Because he blocked the driveway in, I had to call people to get a chimney grate, which I didn't know I needed. Many times he would take off his mask to talk to me or to his phone which he was late on catching up on paper work. If you're at my house, I expect you to provide 100 percent focus on the job. After looking at my supplies and telling me to get a grate, when it came, he evaded testing out the fire by saying I also needed a fire starter log. * Cleaning took about 15 minutes -- seemed pretty quick for what he kept saying was a "really bad" chimney. I asked the state of the chimney because it bothered me that it was such a quick job. He told me he's not a certified inspector, and he's not doing the video inspection. * After asking about the quoted 280 over on the phone, he decides to charge an extra 100 cause my chimney was "really bad." ... if you're able to get the job done in 15 minutes all while letting the machine do its job while you walk away to fill out paperwork, I don't understand how that could be so strenuous on labor. * After he was gone, I called up the company to report his behavior to a manager, to which I spoke with Alex. He offered no compensation or discounts for all their shortcomings. He only said "I'll talk to him." I've never been so angry at a company or technician for so many reasons. I was desperate to get my chimney working. Because other companies busy up for a month, I decided to give these folks a try, and I regret this so much. They're the only company to make me feel angry at myself for giving them the benefit of the doubt. Approximately a year ago I had used A Plus - I was in the hospital for emergency life saving surgery - and due to my health - I was not allowed to leave the hospital and had to leave my dogs alone for almost 24hrs - please understand - my leaving my dogs was NOT due to neglect - I was a day - 2 days at the most from dying - my situation was CRITICAL and the Drs stated if I left the hospital there was a very STRONG possibility that I could die driving home to get my dogs - my fear of dying was overwhelming to say the least and the thought of possibly dying driving home to get my dogs and possibly injuring/killing anyone in a car accident was not something I could risk... Unfortunately, one of my friends was not able to get to my dogs until the following day and she was aware of how dire my situation was - Needless to say, I knew that my carpeting was going to be hit with the dogs 'accidents'... About a week after my surgery I started to call around for a carpet cleaning company that would be willing to do the work without gauging me in the pocketbook... I found Alex at APlus - He was extremely kind and compassionate to my situation - He was willing to work with me in every aspect - I had never forgotten... And when I FINALLY came home - my carpets looked incredible and there was ABSOLUTELY NO 'ODOR' lingering... It was a HUGE relief to me! I reached out to Alex again, literally today, regarding a cleaning... He remembered me from the initial job and from previous conversations... How many companies will 'remember' you? Now I will not go into what we've discussed and agreed to... But, I will say this... For a company in today's era that is willing to GO ABOVE and BEYOND and TRULY helps a person and put's the customers needs before their own profits - Speaks VOLUMES... I'm old school and you are only as good as your word, a handshake means something... I can only go by the work he had done for me previously and I was very happy with results... But, the absolute generosity in helping a person in my situation, (I'm sorry I do not wish to elaborate), gives me renewed faith that there are still Companies like APlus who truly care about their Clientele... He was able to accommodate my short-notice request and crazy work schedule, and communicated well and clearly throughout the scheduling process. He showed up on time and finished when he projected he would. I was favorably impressed with his professionalism as well as the very reasonable pricing for his services! I waited five days after work was done to write this so any temporary effect would pass...you know how sometimes carpets look great right after while drying, then a few days later when dry, stains reappear and you see the work was shoddy - surely NOT the case with this work!) He also cleaned a sofa and dining chair cushions for me which look brand new afterwards. I went from thinking about replacing the carpets in the just-acquired home, to being able to spend those dollars on other projects, thanks to the outstanding workmanship of the cleaning job!
