The install required removal of 2 rooms of carpet, removal of large area of laminate that come with the house and removal of our master bedroom hardwood which my son and I installed. It was a large install and had to be done over a week or two. They cleaned every time they left so that we were not living in sawdust. Watching them get a perfect pattern match with the hardwood was amazing. After the initial job, he stretched the carpet that was in our theater (the only carpet left after this install). We looked at the theater and asked if he could come back to remove the carpet he just fixed and put hardwood in that room. That required buying 2 more boxes of wood. After he started the theater a couple weeks later, he found that the store gave us the wrong wood in one of the boxes. He offered to drive an hour to Everett to exchange the box. All in all, a fantastic installer.

I had my downstairs floors done about a year ago and they are still gorgeous. I just had the upstairs done and the craftsmanship behind it is super. What an art! We met Darrell who took us to the back to look at remnants. We chose a nice remnant and told them we needed it to be cut, shaped, bound and a rubber backing applied. After looking at the proposal, I noticed they had used my sister-in-law's address in Seattle as the ship to/install. I'm in Skagit County. I wrote back to Dale, copying Sara, asking them to switch the address to mine. Dale said he would, but that it would change the sales tax amount. Unsure why that would be an issue as it would come out in my favor... Skagit county sales tax is much less than King County. I am yet to receive the revised proposal even though I have called a few times requesting that it be done. Has been one month since Dale measured for carpeting. I can't imagine they are so busy that they can't get into a proposal and change the address and resend it in an email to me. The dismissive behavior by Sara and lack of follow up on both their parts has me incredibly disappointed. I will never shop at Great floors in Burlington. I suggest you don't either. Yes they can give you great prices but I don't think it's worth it in the long run. Many other places have wonderful flooring in the area and they can come very close to their prices.

Mark, the owner, responded promptly when I called to request an estimate. He was polite and informative when he came to assess the work needed, and he turned the estimate around within a very few days. We were so pleased by Mark's ability and willingness to not only do the tile work, but also to do the rather extensive work needed to replace some joists, framing and subflooring that had suffered water damage over the years the leak was undetected. It was more than he'd been able to see when he provided the estimate, and I suspect more than he really wanted to do! Fortunately, he had warned us that there might be extra costs and time involved once we were able to see the full extent of the damage under the floors. He built allowances for that into the contract, and we felt that the additional costs and time were more than reasonable. (He was incredibly fair and worked with us to save costs where he could--it really impressed us!) The tile work itself was done beautifully, and we have complete confidence that there will be no leaks in our future. Mark was a great communicator and was very responsive to our questions and concerns throughout the process. He and Yuri cleaned up after themselves at the end of every day, arrived on time, and worked their guts out from the time they got here until the time they left every day. We recommend Elephant Tile wholeheartedly and without reservation, and they will be our tiler of choice for any future projects. If you're able to snag them for your project, consider yourself lucky!

Rich was fantastic in assisting us to choose the right hardwood when we were tearing out OLD, WORN carpet that had 42 year old pet stains. Rich met with us onsite, at several different vendors' locations. He also contacted some showrooms so we were greeted by the owners who knew in advance what was recommended for our installation. There was never pressure to make a decision. His proposal was accurate and he was always on time for any appointments we set up. When the hardwood was delivered a month early, to allow the wood to acclimate to the temperature and humidity in our home, it was stacked too tightly, so Rich came himself and moved the huge amount of boxed Cumaru around in our room so it would have room to 'air' and adjust to the environment for that month. Our installation was perfect. The red oak living room floor was in poor shape. Rich finished and stained the oak floor so the stain was close in color to the new Cumaru and the two different woods look beautiful next to each other. I can't say enough nice things about the experience we had with Rich Callison. I offered him permission to give out my personal phone number if someone wants to ask me questions, first hand. He is a gentleman and a true craftsman. My home feels like walking into a showroom now.
