They need to spend more time maintaining what they have instead of building. It was dirty Earwigs all over the place. Bed was hard.

We stayed with our dog Max at the Presque Isle cabin January 3 thru the 7th. The cabin was perfect, it met all our needs very cozy. We really loved our time in the Copper Harbor cabin. There was a great shared deck to sit and look at the lake with a walk down to a sandy area. We bought wood from the store and had fires each night. The one aspect that I would forewarn you is this cabin is NOT by itself like on the drawn site map. It is fully attached to the Eagle Harbor cabin with maybe a laundry room between the two (it was locked). We heard laundry going and there was a significant mildew smell coming from the door. We couldn't hear the people next to us so it was fine, but I felt like it was a slightly falsely advertised. read more

Hidden gem in the UP!! There is no doubt that I will be back here for a second camping trip (tent camped for 5 days here!) The owners are extremely kind, attentive, and professional. Gave us great recs and a little history of the campsite, which was fun to learn about. It sits near the au train lake and is in close proximity to amazing hikes in the area (pictured rocks, so many other falls, etc). Easy to drive to many places from here and if you don't want to go anywhere, there are many activities (boats, jet skiing) at the campsite itself for kids and adults! We were able to stair gaze from the deck at the lake and it was perfect. This was my first time camping with another girlfriend of mine and we felt comfortable, safe, and were having fun exploring the UP the entire time!! We just got back from staying here, for the second year in a row. There were improvements made like an additional bathroom area with 2 more showers, flooring updated in one of the campers they keep onsite for rent, and more. The tent sites are well planned. We rented a camper and are so grateful they have this option available. Their website is easy to navigate. The family and crew running the campground are just really kind and friendly people. My 10 year old said it best "I just feel at home here!" There is a great view of the lake and plenty to do, both onsite and nearby. We booked for next year before we left! read more

I stayed here for two nights in an electric campsite. I was close to the bathrooms and water stations, which was very convenient. The showers had hot water, and there was a sink water station with potable water for cooking/cleaning. The office has ice, firewood, and fire starters for reasonable prices. The owners were very welcoming and helpful! I forgot a lighter, and they let me borrow theirs for my stay. I didn't use their boat rentals, but I appreciated the option! It is easier, safer, and cheaper to kayak on this lake than Lake Superior. It was only a 20 minute drive to Munising and 30 minutes to the nearest Pictured Rocks parking lot. By the way, the address on the email receipt mapped me to the wrong location (on apple maps) just further down the road. The campsite has a large sign on the main road. read more

Our family enjoyed our week long stay with a very large group of us renting cabins, campsites, campers, and bungalows. This resort offers amenities for any age and really did allow fo the week to be spent at our own pace. We started our planning 2 years out and from day one the staff was top notch with answering all questions and getting ready to accommodate over 120 of us for our week long family reunion. Many, many compliments came from our family members on the resort. The owners take pride in their resort and have upgraded and added many things and it appears they will continue doing so. The lake, the local attractions, and beauty of the U.P. will not disappoint you if you are looking into a vacation in this area and a resort that offers cabin rentals, as well as camping and glamping, Superior Times Resort will easily meet your needs. This place was awesome. It's just the right size. We took an RV and the lots were spread out enough that we were surrounded by nature and it felt like real camping. The showers and bathrooms were cleaned well and pretty new by the looks of it. The lake is beautiful and the service was excellent. We would definitely go again. read more

We loved our time at Superior Times Resort and Campground. We stayed in a cabin which had a newly renovated bathroom. It was very comfortable. The beds were great and it was nice to have a full sized fridge and stove in the kitchen. Salt and pepper are provided, but bring whatever else you need for cooking. We had our own firepit and enjoyed our evenings there. The campground is peaceful and the lake is gorgeous - clear water and good fishing. We rented seadoos and were pleased they were in great condition and quite new. We didn't turn the tv on, but it is there and a nice size. The owners are really nice and helpful and not intrusive. They are there when you need them and out of sight when you don't. They are working on updating the whole resort and are doing a great job! We took day trips to some waterfalls and to Pictured Rocks. We want to go back in the fall to see the colors, so we will be back again for certain. Check out their new bungalows. They looked great from the outside, and I asked the guests how they liked them and they were very positive in their comments. No issues with bugs or critters. It was a really nice getaway. read more

In all, we had a good time camping at Superior Times. It was very peaceful and we enjoyed our walks to the lake to enjoy the beautiful view. However, the electric pedestal at our campsite was very low to the ground and barely allowed us to use our surge protector. Also, our site was all dirt, and we got some rain which made things messy. All camper sites are practically all dirt. Some gravel on the camper pad and a more level surface would have been nice. read more

This is the second time my husband and I have stayed here, plus my husband brought our grandsons up last fall. We've had great experiences every time. What an incredible getaway. At superior times Resort you are staying right on the waters of AuTrain lake,minutes from cute restaurants, the coast of superior (which is surrounded by dunes), and a little further out is pictured rocks. You stay in your well tended cabin or campsite. Then you are greeted by the owners, who treat you like family. We rented a pontoon for an extremely reasonable rate and tugged along 830 acre Au train lake, if it wasn't such a chilly time of year - we could have rented jet skis! We came back to a quaint fire and gazed at the moon over the water. Fishing, stargazing, being touristy, pets welcome, quiet, beautiful... everything is ready and waiting to be a dream vacation. read more

I stayed here at Superior Times for a quick 3 day camping trip. The location is great being on the Lake Autrain right outside of Munising. The campground is small (maybe 10-15 sites) but very nice if your not looking to be disturbed by others. The owners were very sweet and did their jobs efficiently. Extra info. Check in 3-10pm Check out 1pm Only 2 bathrooms (with showers) No beach area on site but 2mins away is a public beach Downsides. I would like to write a review of what happen with new owners. My family has rented at least 2 cabins sometimes up to 7 cabins for the week of July 4th for over 25 years. The Coleman's family that used to own the resort where like family to all. But last year a new owner took over. What they didn't buy was some respect for customers that have been there for years. With the Coleman family they always knew we would be back the same week next year without even having to ask. NOW the new owner are so unsure of themselves they just rent the cabins out without asking. I hope for them they start showing some professional respect for return customer. read more

My wife and I just spent our honeymoon at Coleman's resort and we had the time of our lives. We live in Naples Florida now but I lived in the U.P. for the last ten years, and I can tell you this location is on of the prettiest places to set up camp. The fishing was great,pike, smallmouth and lots of perch made up most of the catch. The cabin was clean and our privacy was respected by our wonderful hosts.we will come back every year it seems like a great place for our anniversary. read more

My family and I are regulars to the Munising/Marquette area. I had the worst experience yet at this resort. The staff is not friendly, the resort is not kid friendly, the facilities are outdated, and the access to the lake is terrible. I haven't had a bad experience in the UP until now. I wouldn't recommend this facility to anybody. Try other resorts like Dana's, Northwoods, or the River Cottages. read more
