I recently visited Superior Tire & Auto - Downsview Downsview, ON for a simple tire replacement, the experience turned into a nightmare. The staff irresponsibly mishandled my car by placing tires directly on the back of my leather seats. As a result, my seats were damaged beyond repair. The lack of care and attention to detail is unacceptable, and I am appalled by the negligence displayed by this auto shop.I can't imagine what they would do to mechanical related work. DO NOT GO!!!!!!! My initial review mysteriously vanished, prompting this concise version to alert others. In 2014, Superior Tire's service on my car resulted in damage, incorrect fluid use, leaks, and the inclusion of a wrecking yard part. The invoice total was miscalculated, and multiple Consumer Protection Act provisions were violated. Unresponsive to my concerns, I pursued legal action, leading to a court order for Superior Tire and Auto to pay nearly $6500 with interest. I had to have a tire valve replaced on my 2020 Honda Civic as it had split. My friend took the car car with the tire in the trunk and the spare on the car. In no time at all, the valve stem was replaced, wheel installed and space saver put back into trunk where it should be. I did not expect the spare to be re-installed in the trunk but it was. My compliments to the staff for their timely repair and the extra effort with the spare. read more

Terrible experience to say the least. I purchased 4 new tires and all 4 of my rims were damaged after they installed them. I complained about the damage and they pointed to a sign that says "we are not responsible for damage to your wheels". Absolutely pathetic! Will never go back again considering ever other tire shop is better than them. read more

Tire blew out on Monday morning June 5th. Hobbled back home and switched cars after calling the OML to tow it but I wasn't sure where. My usual garage is Green & Ross and they usually take an hour or more to finish anything needed. No complaints and they have kept my car running well. Superior was closer and I didn't feel like getting the spare out to run with so I just called around to ask if they were busy that day and they said they could look at the tire right away if I brought it in. The driver from CAA / OML arrived right on time and he had a tough time as my car was parked in an awkward spot but he got it loaded and off we went to Superior because they were closer to me and I knew where they were. They took the car in as promised and advised that the sidewall was ruptured and could not be repaired. They showed me the tire and explained the reason that I couldn't repair it. They had a new tire in stock and had it installed and balanced in no time flat (no pun intended). I was so impressed that I asked them for a quote for a brake job on my other car which has needed brakes for a long while (or so I was told by other garages). They said that they would look at it and estimated a very low price if the work needed wasn't too extensive. I brought my other car back and they inspected it and told me that the work was not extensive (contrary to what others had told me) and they ordered the parts and did the job in about an hour total. The CAA picked up and towed my car by 10:45am and I am done with repairing that one and have had a brake job done at less than half the price that others have quoted me in the past. I had the worst timing to get a puncture in my tire right when the height of the tire switch over season is in. I went first thing in the morning and waited an hour but had an appointment for my baby in two hours. They were honest and said I shouldn't stay they might not get to me. My tire died the next day and I took it back and they slotted me in and got it done in an hour. They're very pleasant staff and helped me as soon as they could and patched my tire. read more

Experienced a flat tire on March 18, 2017. Went to Costco to get a replacement tire. They could not replace just one tire since it's for a Honda CR-V, all wheel drive. Went to Superior Tire on Dufferin. They said no problem. Very reasonably price, and very quick. Recommend this place!! read more

He is so very knowledgeable and understood exactly what I was looking for, ie. low road noise summer tires, and not get ripped off on pricing. We found the best prices for what I needed, and the job was done quickly while I waited. He was a pleasure to work with and will definitely go see him again. Dealt with this location for years; both my car and my wife's. Always had a good experience here. Brought my wife's car in today for a "check engine" light; the car was in and out in less than 10 minutes. The owner said it was a minor problem (thermostat) that was probably due to the weather. No charge to diagnose or clear the code. I asked him about a replacement thermostat and he said it probably wasn't necessary (how often do you run into a place that goes out of its way NOT to charge you?) but if the light came back on, it would be about $150 installed. I appreciate the honesty; in my experience they're one of the more honest places around. I'd deal with them again in a heartbeat. read more

We had been coming here off and on for 2 years for repairs. We found them slightly pricey but seemed to do a good job. Our previous place closed up and so this seemed like a good option. The last time we went to then they didn't finish the job by the time I showed up to collect. I waited for awhile before finally asking how much longer. Side note: they had the car all day. Was told I could take the car but there were a few things unfinished but to just bring it back and they would take care of it. Called a few times and they were quite rude. They needed me to leave the car for a few days or a week. Who can leave their car for so long? Tried a few more times to get these things taken care of and they made it quite difficult. Finally realized that since they had my money already they were not interesting in taking my car again. Found them incredibly rude and condescending to me. Would never set foot back into that place unless it's to get back the money I already paid. read more

Went there last year cause needed flat tires with leaky valves fixed asap. They were not busy and took me right away but the gentleman behind the counter(older South African accent) was not freindly at all and a bit condescending. They were also a bit expensive as well but as I said I was under a time constraint and they weren't far from my home. So... I got a nail in the tire. So, I called around to find a place that could check the tire to see if it could be repaired. I thought $36.00 for a repair wasn't bad. But, the screw went in the inside of the tire. Can't be fixed. So the he starts checking the stock. and has lexani lx-7 for $140.00 the other tire in stock is a yokahama for $225.00. So, I went for the Lexani. After the bill Which came to $163.00. Got home and check with a other place still open. Seems the lexani lx-7 215/55/r17 at 3 other locations $76-97 for the tire. The shop has a logo saying exhaust on it, so as a customer you would assume the do exhaust work as well. I had an exhaust pipe broken that would require only welding, no parts replacement required. I decide to stop buy the shop and asked how much it will cost me to weld a connection between two ends of pipe, I was told 350$ plus tax, I asked why so expensive and the guy became very very rude, by saying who is gonna do it? remember I am a customer in his shop where it says exhaust and he told me to go and look somewhere else and promised me that i will not find anything cheaper than $350, I went to another place, just a few km away and got it fixed for $70 no tax within 20-25 mins. I will never ever buy tires from these guys or go to this superior tire shop again, in fact i will tell everyone i know to avoid this place just because the guy was very very rude after asking why it's so expensive. AVOID IT ALL COST!! THEY WILL DRAIN YOUR WALLET! THERE ARE FAR BETTER PLACES THAT WILL SELL YOU THE SAME TIRES FOR MUCH MORE REASONABLE PRICE! read more
