First of all reservations are a must at this place. The sausage and Wine appetizer was better than our main course which was the lobster Thermidor. Very disappointing. They should name the Dish lobster with cheese instead of lobster Thermidor. If you order wine a bottle is better priced two glasses of wine will cost you a bottle. Something the wait staff should advise. For dessert we had a lava cake that wasn't even warm, we sent it back and it came a little warmer, but not a lava cake that you would expect to be more than warm. I really can't say that I would never come back to this place for the same Dish. The disappointment was beyond I can describe! Service was good. Came in for the lunch buffet. The line was simple. Yet the selection is somewhat limited. Call in advance to find out what are the dishes available before taking the trip. While the food is tasty, the temperature is a bit on the low side. The ambience is good and they have a full bar. The only downside is that after you sit down the staff takes its time to reach you and of course you already have a plate of food infront of you. Perhaps a bus boy who brings immediate water would be an expedited service. Additionally the follow up is lacking specially for a refill while you eat a buffet type lunch. Honestly, I had high hopes. Yelp reviews looked great and perhaps what makes my review different is that we were quite a large party and I feel they were overwhelmed in general. It was 23 of us, including 10 kids, on a Sunday afternoon. Reservations were made the day prior, for 2:00 pm, and a piglet was ordered then (day prior). We arrived, there were issues with the seating. After we all sat down, it was a while before we even got water. When we got water, we didn't have menus. Once we got the menus, it took more time to order. We ordered drinks and appetizers. That was ok. Then we proceeded to wait, a while more. We were notified at 5:00 pm the piglet wouldn't be ready until 6:00 pm. Mind you, by this time we've been there quite a long time, hungry even after appetizers, and kids growing rapidly impatient. But we patiently waited one more hour. Piglet eventually arrived, accompanied by moros, yuca and sweet plantains. All sides were yummy but I did not find the meat enjoyable. Too much fat and bones and just not enough meat. Throughout our time service wasn't the best either. My glass constantly ran out of water and not once did they come refill without ME asking them. After 4:00 pm, side of the restaurant is reserved for some type of older singles (or couples, not even sure) event. I thought that was cute, until we had to deal with the extremely loud music for hours and some of us ending up with a headache. And let's not talk about the PRICE. It ended up being almost $900 for our entire party (after adding tip). I'm sorry, but WHAT?! I'll be traumatized by this for a lil while. Have been hesitant to eat here for a while but decided to go for lunch and try it out. It was a Saturday so there were no lunch specials. Menu was limited somewhat and expensive for the type of place. Complimentary bread was good. We shared a Tabla Mixta ($28), some Draft Estrella de Galicia, Masas de cerdo frita con arroz y maduros ($14) and an ensalada de aguacate ($6). The Tabla Mixta had some nice tasty serrano ham, the beers were served in frozen mugs and were cold and delicious. The masas de cerdo frita were soft, juicy and delicious (contrary to other restaurants that just fry the meat directly and gets hard), the rice is jasmine (not a fan) and the maduros were soft and also delicious (not like other places that are hard) and the ensalada de aguacate was good but could have been thicker slices. The Manager and waiters are incredible, food delicious, no long waiting, very professional, the ambiance is awesome & lively fun. Great place to celebrate a birthday as well. The shows have top singers like Braulio, Amaury, etc. The DJ is the bomb. Gets the guests involved in singing, having a expectacular evening. After show there is dancing. You won't be disappointed. Management and ownership please make sure you do something about the service here. Your team is lacking a lot in customer service skills. The cook you have placed in the line of the buffet needs to be a little bit more polite, he cannot asume that I know what they are serving here. I had no clue, and if he doesn't want to work there he can be about his life somewhere else. In other words bad image, he is there to work not to mean look at your guests because they are putting him to work. Also if you only market your buffet you only are going to get clients for the buffet. That is what I thought it was a Spanish Cuisine buffet. Your servers are ok, but still they are lacking of the skills to be successful in this industry. Another thing, the presentation of the food in the buffet horrible! That is not a proper buffet, you need more variety. You can do better than that! Charge a little bit more so people can have a nice variety. Last thing, I asked for a lemonade for my girlfriend and in a table nearby another lemonade was served. If you have two different lemonades please let your guest now, we wanted the frappe lemonade because it looks bigger and more delicious, unless you are doing something special for those clients. Still don't bring something different to your guest if both tables are asking for lemonades and the tables are right next to each other. It gives bad image of the place. We went to Super Machi with friends from out of town. Since they were interested in tasting a variety of Cuban dishes we opted for the buffet. The food was mediocre at best - no frijoles negros, only congri. The croquettas were bacalao, not jamon, so were a hard pass for me. I sampled what was supposed to be masitas, but the meat was so dry it was nearly inedible. No maduros or tostones. And the really unpleasant surprise was the $5 charge for a 12oz can of Diet Coke. There were only a handful of tables occupied while we were there, but the volume of the music was almost too loud to carry on a conversation. And it was FRIGIDLY cold. Well we went on a Monday around 5pm and there was about two tables before us and only one server. We didn't get attended to almost 20-30 mins in. And then to get out drink order another while until eventually someone else came to help out. The super Machi combo is a great deal and literally has a little bit of everything tamal, croquetas, fried pork, fried chicken and tostones rellenos. You get a good deal for your buck. The complimentary bread was good and super crunchy. My daughter's kids meal was DELICIOUS. Probably the best meal we had lol. The pina colada my mom had was pretty tasty too. My sister was not at all impressed with the burger. She said the meat didn't taste fresh. My mom got the Gordon bleu and it was over fried and didn't have the white sauce that was suppose to go on it. She was extremely disappointed since we took her there for her birthday. I had their spaniel sandwich with ham and cheese which wasn't bad but the bread was extremely hard to bite into. The service and food could of been better. The desserts were pretty decent we had the flan and crema Catalana. The crema Catalana was cold and was not mixed in correctly but the flan was actually really yummy. I think they need to have more staff available. They have music playing in the background which makes the ambiance pretty enjoyable but they need a little more variety in it. read more

I haven't been to this place yet. I just called to ask some questions. The man who picked up the phone either didn't speak English or just PLAIN RUDE! He didn't understand my question the 1st time I called, and he just hung up on me. So I called back again. This time he managed to answer "yes" to my 1st question. But struggled to answer the 2nd question & just hung up on me again. SERIOUSLY!? He couldn't pass the phone to someone else who could speak English instead? Nice service, nice place, food was so so. My son ordered a pan con bisteck and they toasted the bread so much thst it was literally like a cracker. My husband ordered the Snapper fillet with mash potatoes and salad..not good at all. I did order the vaca frita which was ok and it came with 2 sides. The ajico was pretty good. Great food and very attentive service. Slow kitchen. Bitter ending when getting a 3.88% surcharge for using a credit card. It's on the bottom of the menu in really tiny writing. I find it offensive. Credit card fees are a cost of doing business. The cost should be included in the menu prices and not as a bullshit surcharge. read more

This Nicaraguen place used to be La Fragua Cuban Restaurant. What a difference: day and night. Before Covid, la fragua was a family owned gem where servers, cooks and employees took pride in their work and food. It is sad to see what it has become. One server takes care of a 2000 square foot seating space and walk up window- she plates the rice, beans bananas etc from warmers now in place of the counter (where regular customers would sit for a quick bite) It is more of a cafeteria serving up pre made food. Our first time here.. food is over priced for what they serve and the menu is plain to say the least. I had the palomilla with white rice and beans. The steak looks cheap, not seasoned, tastes gamy. It feels that they want to be an upscale restaurant but the ambiance and food and not up to par. And on top of that they had an event from a medical center that was loud and took away from the little experience we had here. That room should be private and closed off from the patrons that want to enjoy their food. But the food is not good anyways. It was an experience and I wont be coming back.. the chef should understand the area and come up with a competitive menu since there are hundreds of places where you can choose from.
