A pleasant little Colombian cafeteria with a good selection of food items. We had the sancocho, a typical Colombian stew that includes beef, potato, yuca and green plantain. The portion was generous and it comes with a side of white rice. I found it very flavorful and although I received good portions of meat, it was missing potatoes. The space is kept very clean and well organized, but it's a bit small. The staff is friendly, helpful and quick, which is good when you're tight for time. I'll definitely be back. read more

I mainly only visit here when my mom wants Carimañola de Queso & Arepa de Huevo; that's about it which they are absolutely delicious. It is all freshly made when you order big amounts therefore hot and crispy outside. They offer "cantina" which is prefix lunch specials for a certain price. Not many Colombian restaurants sale Pony Malta so when I visit is a must have! Parking can a little hectic as there are too many restaurants and business and not enough parking. The price of the food was ridiculous 60$ for two plastic plate of food two drinks one pan de bono and one bollo de mazorca. I normally don't care enough to write a review on a shitty location but this company deserve it the staff looks like ready to quit they were rude. This restaurant is my first introduction to Carimiñolas (however it's spelt) and Coconut Rice. First I would like to point out that Coconut Rice, cost $1 extra. It is well worth the dollar. The Carimiñolas are made to order and oh so amazing. They have two coconut desserts that are also very delicious. I only order take out from here. The restaurant is very small. When I go pick up the food, I have to weave in and around chairs/tables and excuse myself, all the while the people eating are having to push their chairs in to provide enough space. This little gem also features arepa dulce, which I have yet to find elsewhere in South Florida. You can only find this chain in Colombia. You can check it out in Barranquilla and Bogota. It's perfect for a quick snack or lunch and very casual. There are no waiters, so don't expect to have someone waiting in you hand and foot. You place your order at the counter, take your tray, pay, and wait till you food comes out. They even offer a meal service which you can choose to pick up or deliver for lunch daily. I will say that I've been to the Narcobollo in Bogota and this location is MUCH better. The arepas and empanadas are great and the kibbeh is too. The arroz con coco and deditos de queso (tequenos) are tasty. But in the end, I choose other Colombian places in my area because of the price, the location and that some things are pretty good, some things are just ok.
