I really liked shopping here during my stay. I found plenty of good deals on staples like eggs and bread, sure some things were expensive as it is an island, but produce and meat were fairly priced. The clerks are really friendly and all speak perfect English but will humor bad Spanish. The reason for 5 stars is the deli. The guisados, arroz, habicheulas and pasta are damn good and fairly priced. read more

Came here our last visit and it was a decent experience. My in-laws, my parents, my brother and his family and the two of us were able to get all of the food and snacks we were looking for after our arrival here. They have a small lot, but functional. read more

Ok supermarket but everything was very expensive. Feels like it takes advantage of the tourists with these crazy prices.$6 for an orange juice is crazy. Most items were priced like that too.And i live in a very expensive place main land so i know.I tried calling ahead 3 times to find out if they sold something and no one ever answered the phone. That seems to be the issue with some places in PR so not just here. Had some ok items but passed on most. Purchased very little to get by until i could get to a cheaper place. Really don't know how the islanders there can afford those prices smh. read more

They don't accept dogs and they could have a better vegetable selection. Their bakery selection is good though. Also, 5 stars for delivery if you choose to go this route, they're amazing. read more

Good selection, plenty of parking, reasonable prices - what more could you ask for on an island? My coworker and I tried to order takeout from a local restaurant only to find out it was going to take over an hour. I quickly Googled grocery stores and found this Supermax down the street. I was so happy to find local goods -- and Skippy no sugar added peanut butter?!?! We can't even get that where I live! They had no shortage of guava products - um my favorite! We were able to go in and get everything we needed in 10 minutes. My coworker was trying to get back in time to watch the NBA playoffs so i'm glad checkout here was quick and easy! Good place to grab most staples as well as local rum, wine and a huge selection of Puerto Rican coffees at reasonable prices. The deli counter has a lot to offer from traditional beans and rice to cold cut sandwiches. The staff was very helpful, but don't expect the same bilingual service you get at tourist stops. A little Spanish and effort goes a long way here. read more

We rented a condo across the street from this 24 hour grocery store. It was really convenient for us. Prices are along the lines of ones you would pay in the states. The hot food items were good for breakfast or a quick snack. We bought beer, wine, alcohol and snacks to eat in between meals. There is a large assortment of American name brands that are familiar so shopping is easy. I would recommend this place to stock up on groceries and drinks to save money. read more

Worst Supermarket and chain in Puerto Rico. The produce areas are putrid. Having to dig around fungus filled cassava and ginger to find something as close to edible as possible was gross. This happens in pretty much every area of the supermarket where there's anything that's supposed to be fresh. I've told the staff about this a few times in the past few weeks, most are either either rude or just clueless. Prices are ridiculously high. Constantly charge you regular price for stuff that's supposed to be on sale, you find out when you get home so it's back to the supermarket to find a manager willing to give you your money back. Long lines with only 2 o 3 cashiers working at once when there's 10 empty cashier stations while 3 or 4 managers float around doing nothing or group together chatting. Seriously, avoid at all costs. There's another supermarket bear by in the hotel area of Isla Verde called Pueblo that tends to be more crowded and just as expensive but at least there is something resembling quality control and staff is at least decent. read more

Great location. This store has everything you'll need on vacation without the high price tag. This is not a tourist trap. All their Puerto Rican coffee and Don Q liquor are in glass cases at the front. All the employees we asked for ayuda spoke English. I recommend when you get to your hotel or Airbnb make a list of what you'll need and come here. If you're a local then you already know this place rocks. Takes credit cards tambien. read more

This place is ok, kinda dingy and dirty, reminds me of a Mexican meat market stateside, anyway the people are nice, just wish they would mop and clean more. My tip, the deli counter service is pretty good the boars head was cheaper for some reason then in Texas! There is another supermarket nearby, so not the only game in Isla Verde. read more

I always love visiting local grocery stores while on vacation. You often see the coolest stuff and prices for little things to bring back home are so much more reasonable- and the stuff is more useful- than usual tourist shops. This location had a cool selection of beverages - especially alcoholic ones. The rum was way cheaper than in the U.S.! We grabbed a cooler and ice and brought our cheese fruit and rum to the beach. read more

If you're vacationing and staying in Isla Verse and want to save some money on buying drinks poolside or beach side then go the supermax and pick up everything you need for a fraction of the cost of buying one drinks. Great nearby market that's open late. I came to get local coffee to bring back home. Everyone was very nice and helpful with all the questions that I had. Coffee was pretty cheap. I was advised to get the yaucono select. Supposidly it's the best. It is in the light blue can, although it is pre ground coffee. It was hard to find whole beans. At the airport the same coffee were double the price. read more

A great local supermarket that is open 24 hours! It was so nice that this place was across the street from our condo. Heads up, the liquor and coffee are stored behind the registers in locked up shelving. The liquor I can understand, but the coffee?! We later learned that coffee is the #1 most shoplifted item in PR - go figure. If you stop in for the deli - get their cuban sandwich. It's warm, delicious and filled with sumptuous meats and cheeses. YUM! read more

This is one of the worse places of business that I've been to any where and definitely one of the worse in San Juan. They basically don't take debit cards as they always ring it up as credit and you can't get cash back. In addition to that frustration, the cashiers have been rude and even a little snobby. Decently priced grocery store. Has everything that you need while on vacation. They're open 24 hours and it's easy to get to. They have parking. They sell wine,beer, and liquor. It's cheaper to buy your beauty stuff here or pueblo compared to Walgreens. They sell ice, it's outside so you have to ask for it. The cashiers can be crabby, id say 7 out of 10 of them are grouchy. I've gone at different times of the day and night depending on when our flight lands and when we have dinner with my family. My Spanish isn't fabulous, but Language usually isn't an issue for me. I have had some speak to me in English so if language is difficult for you, there's probably some one there who can help. They sell some local products such as coffee and honey, be sure to pick some up to either use while you're here or as gifts/souvenirs!!! Support local as much as possible, it encourages the economy and helps the small business people. read more

My apartment was right across form this place while on vaca. Loved the fact that is 24hrs AND the cafeteria inside serves breakfast around 2am. We stopped in fro french toast and bacon after the club on a Saturday morning. read more
