Review #1,049 Posted on 4.28.26 We came in to Walgreens a few times when in town in Caribe, Isle Verde PR. Most recent time though was on Saturday the 25th. This place is right on the main road here in town that runs parallel with the beach. They've got everything you need here for a short term to get you buy, including grocery items, ice, drinks, and then all household needed stuff, toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, regular soap, scrubbing pad, & more. You can also get all the standard stuff that you think of when you think of a Walgreens, cough medicine, allergy meds, headache aspirin, bug spray, sunscreen, lotion, you name it. This place is a must when here to stay to get the needed items in your room, next time I'll come by here on our first night in town. read more

Baby. This Walgreens was a life saver. It had everything we could possibly need and it was situated across the street from our Air BNB. Perfection. Open early. Closed late. We didn't have to panic for anything because we often just said let's check Walgreens. It was clean. The folks friendly. They ID for drinks and cigarettes every single time. Annoying but I respect it. Food, makeup, toiletries, alcohol, smokes, trinkets you name it. They have it. Very useful for us. Never thought I'd be rating a Walgreens 5 stars in life lol but it really was that serious. read more

I'm sorry; I would never imagine leaving a review for a Walgreens. But when you compare this to the ones that we have in the Northeast US it is amazing in comparison. Everyone was friendly and the selection is truly massive to supply everything you'll need for your PR trip. read more

I went in to the pharmacy after my Dr. called in my RXs. I also brought in mr Dr.s RX written with orders, just in case Walgreens did not receive. Walgreens would not completely fill two RXs and said it was due to my Insurance. Walgreens Pharmacist instructed me to call my Insurance and let them know my Dr. ordered 90 pills for two RXs, not 30. I did as the Pharmacist instructed me to do. Within 10 minutes, I was on the phone with Triple S Fed. I told them about my issue. They then attempted to call this Walgreens Pharmacist right away to give them a reference number to complete the quantity of my RX. The Pharmacy would not pick up the phone. Insurance company called again. None of the SIX (6) people behind the pharmacy counter picked up the phone. Then I called the Pharmacist. I was on hold for a while, then someone picked up and hung up. I called right back. Same thing. Pharmacy would Not answer the phone to any of these FOUR (4) phone calls. Five minutes later, I walked back into the pharmacy to speak to the pharmacist. There were NO CUSTOMERS in line but me. I finally was able to give one of the people behind the counter my reference number from my Insurance Company to allow them to fill my RXs as my Doctor instructed. They made me wait another half hour, but never came to speak to me or called me over. Within that time, they served 3 customers. I then had to leave, due to time, but never received the rest of my RXs. Note: A Pharmacy that refuses to answer the phone is a very dangerous pharmacy. I sometimes understand if it's too busy, but there were ZERO customers and SIX (6) Pharmacy Employees working. I later asked why they would not answer any phone calls. Silence remained on the phone with no answer. I go to this Walgreens ALL THE TIME. Today was the First day I joined Their Pharmacy. OMG, what have I done? read more

This is one of the best Walgreens I've ever been in! It smells good the music is at the perfect volume. And it's like a grocery store there is such a wide variety to pick from this is a five star. read more

This was a Walgreens in Puerto Rico. The store was clean and staff were very nice. I just wish the Walgreens I shopped at had a lot of these travel items. read more

Went here with family. First time coming here. Just got the essentials we needed during our Puerto Rico trip. They didn't have much choices for the sweets section. But we got tons of water bottles and got some ice cream. It was open 24 hours. We tried going through the side entryway but it was close. We went through the front entrance where there was a whole big parking lot. We saw a lot of cats walking around. The staff was OK. They had seats in between isles unsure as to what it is for. read more

Walgreens was my best friend when I stayed in Isla Verde. My party of 8 constantly needed supplies and this was the closest place that had everything we needed. Since we were staying for the week we needed a water by the gallons. We picked up soda, Medalla Light, and a whole bunch of snacks to supplement eating out at restaurants. FYI. Late night they close the back street entrance and only have the main entrance by their parking lot open. read more

One of many of the Walgreens in the area. This store is much larger than the one further down the street and conveniently features a large parking lot and a full pharmacy. They also have a good selection of souvenirs - try to get souvenirs at Walgreens as they will be way cheaper than the tourist shops. Also, check out the local candy selection. They also sell all types of alcohol including liquor - rum! - at reasonable prices. read more

When vacationing, you are bound to suffer tourist traps that fuel the economy of your vacation destination. But the hotels in Puerto Rico, more specifically those on Isla Verde Avenue seem to have it down to a science. The area is secluded from San Juan by $20 taxi ride so all the shops and restaurants hike up their prices. Then there comes Walgreens to rescue~~~ The store is laid out pretty much same way as any other Walgreens would be. Besides the local products, items they carried the same and are priced as they would in the mainland US (so bottle of water is still $1.25-ish rather than $8 at the Intercontinental Hotel where I stayed). Had I found this place early in my vacation, I would've saved so much on everything (films, after-sun-i'm-burning-up lotion, WATER, etc, etc). read more

Three block walk from our beach-front hotel. Our hotel charges $3 for a small bottle of water. The souvenir shops charge outrageous prices for frames and other nick-nacks. Enter Walgreens to the rescue. Water by the case, by the gallon, by the bottle. All sorts of beers at reasonable prices. And for that sunburn because you had no idea how strong the sun could be even at 10 am, Spf 15 - Spf 90 and tons of after-sun lotion. Yeah it's a drug store. Just like ones you can find in the US. But it's also the smart move to hit on your first day on vacation and load up on sunscreen, water, beer, and snacks. And those souvenirs and gifts you need to bring back for people, they have a variety and will save you some cash. read more

Pharmacy is located on Ave. Isla Verde, pretty convenient to many hotels in Carolina. I needed some toothpaste and cookies (really only needed the toothpaste), and the 3 block walk was worth it. The selection is pretty good there, although the Walgreen's back in the states are larger. Good selection, but only 2 checkout folks, so that part was a little slow. Prices excellent, though. read more

UH? THIS IS A WALGREENS??? poor selection - this review is for the one at Plaza del Escorial not for Isla Verde...

I felt like we lived here when we came to PR. We must have spent at least $500 in here, maybe a little less. We constantly came in here to pick up various things we needed. Shaving supplies because when we go away we don't check our bags so we don't pack razors, some soap, some drinks, if we needed it we figured walgreens had it. Definitely a life savor, this place probably makes big bucks from the tourists. read more

I've never reviewed a drugstore, but It was the nicest Walgreens I have ever seen. Everything was in tip top shape. Way more to offer than I have ever seen. The customer service was also awesome. I hope they did okay during the storm.... read more

Saturday, 9:00PM. Never thought I would be miss items from home that much... Quickie: +Standard snack options, except it has caribas platanutres (fried, yum) +Mediocre service And then...? This was at least a 20 minute drive from our hotel. Good thing we were already in the area! read more

This is a HUGE Walgreens. They have everything - shorts, bathing trunks, sunscreen, bug spray, flip flops and everything else you could possibly want - and they are open 24/7. Cheaper than most of the other stores in the area - very reasonable. read more

There are quite a few Walgreens around San Juan and some are open 24 hours a day but not all. This is one of the few that are open 24/7 but also it is in the main area of Isla Verde so if you have any late night needs then this is about your only choice. The selection is pretty decent and the store is fairly clean and well organized. read more

This Walgreens is within walking distance of several hotels in the area so of course they sell top shelf liquor here, lol. We were here every other day picking up little necessities. Extremely convenient ! read more

This place is a lifesaver! We were able to stop in and buy snacks, shampoo and a few other necessities. Plus they keep the temperature on Antarctica, so it feels great in there! Not the friendliest employees, but whatever, I still stopped in multiple times. read more

This Walgreens on Isla Verde avenue came in super handy during my time in Carolina, Puerto Rico. It's just your typical Walgreens, great for certain items, but you'll want to head to Pueblo for any groceries as their food items carry jacked-up prices. This Walgreens also carries alcohol. But my main focus? Getting cash back when I used my debit card! Up to $20 per transaction. No ATM fees :) read more

Liked that it had the same things I would find in New Jersey. Extremely glad that it is close to where we are staying. My son bought a bathing suit on vacation that is too large so we are trying to find one here. Got some water at a decent price last night we found it in the sale section 2 for one sunblock. One was on sale for 11.99 and we found two packaged for that price at SPF 50. The Checkout line could of been a bit faster, then went from 2 people to one with a few people on line. read more

Go to the pharmacy before the sun has risen because there's practically no wait & you'll likely get one of the kindest pharmacists. His name is Francisco (I think), speaks English & is just so friendly. The store is clean, newly renovated & sells EVERYTHING! read more

We made several trips to this Walgreen. We found everything we needed, and the staff was friendly and helpful. The prices were the same as in NY. It was a life saver for us, cause that where we went to buy our water for the 6 days we were in PR. read more

Ok so this is a very conveniently located 24/7 drugstore near the Ritz Carlton so anytime you need any medicine or anything this is the place to go. IT is a VERY safe area at night so do not be alarmed. There is a security guard. Also, the staff the Walgreens are very nice and very helpful. I highly recommend this for all your needs when in the Carolina area. EDIT: I took this down to 4 stars because I just found out today it is NOT 24 hours....the one next to the Ritz is not 24 hours. =( however there IS another one in the area it's just farther away....and the staff isn't as good...and not so nice area at night....so anyway the downgrade is only bc of the lack of 24 hours. read more

It seems to be the only store of it's kind in the Carolina vicinity. It's nothing special or out of the ordinary. It can use a facelift. The manager didn't understand English, which was pathetic in a tourist area and the pharmacy does not stay open during all store hours. read more
