RUN AWAY !!! The BWI super shuttle is a scam. I'm riding in the van right now. This is a pretty bad service. Poor professionalism at the service desk. 30 minute wait for the shuttle. Then our van has three fares. We live in northern Montgomery County about 40 minutes from BWI. The first drop is in NE Washington DC so they drive 40 minutes past my house to get to the first stop. Ridiculously bad value. Right now it looks like a 40 minute drive turned into a 30 minute wait and a 90 minute van ride. read more

Horrible! I waited 45 minutes after I checked in for my driver to show up. When I called customer service they told me that my driver had passed me and I now needed to wait for a new driver to be dispatched. My driver came back and then I had to sit and wait an additional 20 minutes for him to pick up someone else who had literally minutes before been dispatched to him. I've never had such a negative experience with a shuttle company. There was no employee outside waiting to greet customers and when arrived after I'd been sitting for 27 minutes he apologized and told me he should have been outside and would have to contact dispatch to locate another driver. NEVER again will I use super shuttle and I strongly recommend you don't. It's overpriced unprofessional service. read more

Was about to write a nasty review about Super Shuttle and saw that many others have come before me. I injured my knees and thought super shuttle would be a convenient way to get back to my apartment in DC from BWI, so made an online reservation in advance with flight details, etc. I got off my red eye flight from LAS, saw a huge Super Shuttle counter in front of me an no one was there. I called the 1-800 number and the rude customer service rep told me I would have to go to a completely different concourse and also didn't seem to believe that I was standing in front of a super shuttle desk. Walking to another concourse with injured legs defeated the entire purpose - she nor the supervisor showed any interest in helping me and the real problem was that there were ZERO signs at this unmanned counter on what to do and where to go if it was unmanned. Ended up canceling my reservation, taking the train, and vowing never to take the crappy blue van again. read more

While I've had good experiences with Super Shuttle on the west coast, I've had too many poor experiences with this station. From rude counter people at BWI, late pick ups, drivers who don't know their way around, drivers who can only follow GPS and are pretty much driving distracted, find another way to get to your destination. read more

Awesomely BAD service.If you have booked a super shuttle to take you from airport to home, believe me, its a nightmare as you can be delayed anywhere between 4 to 5 hours. But trust me, after arriving from a long journey after spending a busy vacation, that feels like hitting your head against the wall. When the driver arrives to pick you up for the airport he is in time. But he will not entertain any delays and also warns to leave without you within 5 minutes of arrival. Point is, they only behave this high and mighty, epitome of punctuality on the journey to the airport. But during the return drop off journey from the airport, they take their own sweet time delaying you anywhere between 1.5 to 3 hours just to start the vehicle homewards as in a shared drive they wait to pick up all possible passengers coming within a 3 hour time frame, not taking into consideration, 1) the fact that you might have traveled several hours and want to reach home as soon as possible, 2) weather conditions- I flew from the East Coast to reach the Baltimore Airport at 10.30pm just to find biting cold and rainy weather outside the airport. The Super shuttle people were there then but 3 times they transported other customers who might have booked an individual ride. Then I had to call up their office after an hour of waiting in the cold, and when the van arrived, we had to to wait for people coming from other flights too. 3) Your time and comfort means nothing to the Super Shuttle drivers. During the journey to airport I was feeling hot and stuffy in the vehicle and requested the driver to switch on the A\C, he just opened the Window. But the actual icing on the cake was during my return journey from the airport when after a 1.5 hour leisurely wait at the airport, out in the cold and rain, which made me ill and feverish for the entire following week, the driver stopped in between and phoned up his office as he seemed to have missed out on a passenger who was supposed to be riding with us but since his flight got delayed, the driver made an U-turn and returned to the airport to wait for the indefinitely delayed flight. Only when one of our co-passengers took a stand on this did the driver decide to drop us all off. But there again, I caught cold as the driver did not turn on the heating and Maryland is very cold in midnight hours, whats more he dropped us the last as he traveled all the MD area to drop off each and every passenger before dropping us at Gaithersburg. Truly, never experienced such low down people such as the Super Shuttle staff as the ones in Baltimore. Needless to say, I will never go for their poor services ever. The service they provide to the airport to catch a flight is reasonable if u don't have an option, but the weather should be normal as these people sting on using the A/C or heating . The return from your flight to back home is fine though over-priced( as an Uber costs much less)if u book their whole vehicle as only those arrive on time. The shared option must never be taken on return journey. Warning: They try to fool you by saying traffic is more and shift your time ahead of schedule to fit in other customers and match you with their timing. Beware! don't take that option, just stick to your original plans. As it will hurry you unnecessarily. For long distance travel from airport to home, rely on your car and airport parking (trust me it's awesome and the shuttles run free of charge from airport to airport parking) or ask a friend (pay him or her if necessary) to pick you up when u arrive at airport. For short distance take uber or lyft. Hope this helps. read more

I booked a taxi to BWI and just to make sure that they pick me up on time, called them and paid extra to book the taxi. In the morning, I checked the status of my taxi and found out that about 45 minutes before pick up time the taxi was around Dullas Airport (more than an hour far from my address). I called them and after more than 30 minutes being on the phone, finally got the chance to speak with someone. They first told me that everything is fine and don't need to worry and that is just a glitch in the system. So I asked for the drivers' cell and they asked me to wait. Right when they should have picked me up, they came back and told me that they have forgot to assign mine to any driver so all they can do it to cancel the taxi. I rushed and called several places and finally found a taxi and paid three times more than the normal fare to get to the airport. I missed the flight and had to go through a lot of hassles. The day after called the supper shuttle and all they told me was to open a ticket online and the customer service told me they cannot do anything. Anyway, as the last option opened a ticket and they tell that they will get back to you within a week. Waited more than two weeks but no call from them. Called the customer service and told me that they will refund my money. After more than one month, still waiting for the refund. Finally had to ask the bank to reverse the credit. Please save your time and take a taxi from a different company. This company is a scam. This is the second time that they do not send the taxi. One in Salk Lake City and now in DC. I reserved the SuperShuttle to take me from BWI to Annapolis on a recent Friday afternoon. I made it to the SuperShuttle counter at 4:30 pm and, though I hadn't retrieved my luggage, I stopped at the counter since there were no other customers and asked when the next shuttle to Annapolis would be leaving. The clerk told me 5:00 pm. I got my bags and checked in at the kiosk next to the counter at 4:44 pm. Several vans came and left but no van to Annapolis. I went back to the counter and asked the same clerk and he told me that the van would be there at 5:10 pm. At 5:10 pm I asked the clerk again where the van was and he made a call to the driver. He then told me the van was inbound and would be at the airport in 3-5 minutes. Still, no van... At 5:30 the van finally showed up. We took a roundabout way to the hotel once we got to Annapolis because the driver wasn't sure how to get there. I will never take the SuperShuttle again. read more

I can't say enough bad things about this company, especially since this is probably my sixth (and final) trip with them, with no change in the trend at all. I got the standard accomodations for my trip from BWI: an old blue van with no shock absorbers, questionable air conditioning, and a wonderful odor of spent air freshener. The drivers was the worst motor vehicle operator I have ever encountered in my life; we lurched down the interstate while fishtailing around in our own lane because one hand was preoccupied with the cell phone/GPS thing, slammed on the brakes at the last possible second at red lights and stop signs instead of slowing to a stop like a normal human being, and continually bum-rushed other cars in attempts to gain the right of way (it didn't work). As an added bonus, for the entire 2 miserable hours I spent on this barf barge, we got to listen to crappy music that sounded as if it were written on the toilet by redneck meth addicts who just lost their virginity to a farm animal. I consider myself a very good tipper, but this person received $0.00 from me, without apology. If you manage to keep your food down by the time you finally arrive at your door, which is about 2 hours longer than it would normally take via any other form of transit, consider yourself lucky. read more

I booked a ride and gave them my address and special directions as their GPS always routes them to a road where the gates have been closed and locked. So what does the driver do - calls me up and tells me that the gate is locked - did you read the instructions - err NO!! I gave him directions and while he is on the phone with me he calls his dispatch and says the gate is closed and he cannot pick me up!!! I told him to wait where he was and I would walk to him - so I make a 5 min walk to him with all my bags as he cannot read directions. Booked with Supershuttle for a 10:40 a.m. flight, the pick up time they suggested was 8:40. SHuttle arrived on time but then proceeded to make two more pickups. I got to the airport 30 minutes before my flight. Needless to say I missed my flight and spent seven hours in that airport before I could get another. I contacted Supershuttle, at first they insisted that I had booked the wrong flight time even though my confirmation from them has the correct 10:40 flight time. They double checked and found I was right, then assured me I would get a full refund plus compensation for my additional expenses. Weeks have passed and now they're pulling that bullsh*t about ME booking the wrong flight time. I will never use them again from any airport. I wish there were a way to give them negative stars!! I made a round trip reservation days in advance of my flight. The pick up from my house to BWI was okay, driver was a bit aggressive. The return trip, HORRIBLE. My flight arrived at BWI , I got off the plane and went straight to the Super Shuttle Kiosk at Gate 9, as instructed in the email. The representative checked me in at 11:20p, but said there were no vans currently and the wait would be about 45 mins. I shortly received a text stating i was checked in and would receive another text with the van #. The rep then tells me she is getting ready to leave and wanted to give me to # to dispatch to check on the ETA if needed. After waiting an hour and a half, i call dispatch. After being on hold for 15 mins, I explain to the rep my situation and that i was wondering what the ETA was. She then tell's me "sorry, but i don't have any vans at the airport and i don't expect any til AFTER 2:30am" I asked why i was checked in and told my van would arrive in 45 mins, and then it never shows and no one could call me and let me know anything. Her response "I don't know what to tell you". WORST customer service ever. Super Shuttle in Denver where i flew to was AMAZING, however I should not have been surprised that once I arrived back in Baltimore that i'd have issues. I've used Super Shuttle twice so far. Once they were 10 minutes early and the other time I had to wait at the airport for a shuttle for around 20 minutes. Both drivers were ok. The one on the way to the airport drive like a bat outta hell but he got us there safe and sound. The desk lady once we got to the airport wad kind of a douche but she want driving me so I can ignore her. Booking online is easy and it's a little pricey but it's cheaper than a cab and easier than taking a cab to the MARC. Overall a pleasant experience. read more

Checked in online once I had my bags and waited 25 minutes for driver to be ready (could see van waiting but was glad not to have to wait outside in the freezing cold). Was told there would be 5 stops but I did not know they would be driving soooooo far out of the way. The van went to Mitchelville, which after I looked it up on a map, I saw was way far outside of the beltway, as opposed to DC where 3 of us were going. The Super Shuttle "agreement" describes that the customer may share with up to 10 people going in the same direction. I can assure you that that stop was most definitely NOT even close to the same direction and added at least 45 minutes onto the trip. I will most assuredly not use super shuttle in the future, and will use uber next time and swallow the extra $20. The driver was friendly and safe. read more

I am very disappointed with super shuttle. I am currently sitting at home waiting for a van that will be running about 30 minutes late (if it really arrives at the time the last call told me). If you need to be on time to the airport for a flight don't use this service, unless you are willing to book your van for ages before you'd actually need to leave so that you're not risking missing your flight. I will not take super shuttle to the airport again, as I am not interested in nervously waiting and waiting and getting automated calls every 10 mins that give me an even more delayed arrival time (i've recieved 3 calls at this point.) It is absolutely important to be timely and accountable to time commitments when taking people to the airport for flights. read more

Super Shuttle has gone down the tubes. It used to be a great option for those that can't afford a taxi for log distances to the airports and don't have the time to wait for the train. Now, the price has gone up to $38 one way. My flight arrived at 11:40pm. I waited in line at the super shuttle station for 20 minutes since they had only one representative that spent 10 minutes in a guy that wanted to rent a car. Then they said I had to wait 30 minutes or less for the next shuttle to DC, which they said would take another 45-1.5 hours to arrive. What the hell?!?! The service is not worth paying for anymore and the train seems to be way cheaper and faster. I won't use super shuttle again. read more

I have used Super Shuttle at numerous airports around the U.S. Never have I experienced the lack of customer service and blatant disregard for professionalism as I did in Baltimore. After checking in with Super Shuttle at 10:18pm, we finally were loaded in a van at 11:38pm. Absolutely no update was given regarding departure. When I approached the counter and asked, the desk clerk pointed to the driver and stated "you can leave if he ever gets off the phone." Drive them attempted to put 12 passengers into 10 passenger seats, directing everyone to "squeeze in." Driver also made multiple stops at hotels no riders were registered at. In addition, the countless curb hops and speeding down city streets made passengers feel unsafe. Comments made to the driver went ignored. It took over 2 and a half hours to reach an Inner Harbor hotel from the check-in time with Super Shuttle. That's absolutely unacceptable. Any other method of transportation would have been better than Super Shuttle. The only positive was a good lesson learned in why one should NOT pre-pay the tip! read more

I used this service for a business trip. Scheduled driver to pick me up from home and take me to BWI. I got a call at work the same day of the pick-up from super shuttle asking me could they pick me up earlier. I obliged and left work an 1 hour and a half early only for the driver to pick me up an hour passed the time that they had asked me to be there. Once I landed in Orlando I had already prebooked super shuttle but when I landed no one knew where they picked up at. I got a text from super shuttle but it didn't say where to meet the driver. The ground transportation area was large and there were many different services but super shuttle was no where in sight. I landed at 10 pm and when I finally got a call from the driver at 11 he told me he was on the other side of the airport and that he could not pick me up from where I was at because he was not allowed. When I tried to find where he was and called him back several times he never would answer the phone. By this time it's midnight and I'm exhausted so I call Uber and download the app to my smartphone. The driver was there in 3 min no wait no fuss! I love the Uber technology. I'm able to see what the driver looks like what type of car their driving and contact the driver directly via phone or text msg. I'm also able to see how far away the driver is. I used this service my entire two week trip in Florida and it was awesome! I will never use Super Shuttle again! Uber for life baby!!! Oh and your first ride with uber is up to $20 off! read more

The worst service I have ever had both began and ended a great vacation in Jamaica. Leaving home on my way to the airport, the driver was on time picking me up. What started out being a pleasant conversation ended with the driver becoming argumentative. I asked if we could end the conversation agreeing to disagree when he argued that a young woman, who was recently killed in her home by the police, had the right to pull a shot gun on the police and threaten to kill them when they served a bench warrant to her. He also told me that deer antlers were really antenna that helped the deer like GPS helps humans. Then, coming home, after waiting 30 minutes for the shuttle and after getting on the beltway, the driver informed us that we had to go back to the airport to pickup another passenger that he had just been notified of. Against out protest, the driver proceeded to take several exits in an attempt to get back on the side of the beltway leading back to the airport. After doing this, we ended up in a traffic jam and sat in traffic for another 20-30 minutes. Livid by this time, I called customer service to complain and requested a refund because I did not feel that I should be expected to turn around to go back and get anybody... That is not what I was paying for!! After traveling for the past 12 hours, I was NOT feeling the delay that turning around to go back to the airport created!! The customer service agent took my complaint and told me that a case manager would call me in a few days with a determination as to whether I would get a refund. What?? Once back at the airport, I got out of the van, opened my Über app, booked a ride and pulled off while they were still loading the new passenger onto the van. The cost to get home with Über saved me $5. I will never use Super Shuttle again!! Never!! My plane landed at 730pm and I did not get home until 1015pm. I only live 20-30 minutes from the airport. If I could write this review without assigning any stars, I would do so. Super Shuttle doesn't even deserve the one star that I am forced to give them. read more

I am giving two stars. I booked and paid $25 in advance for a shuttle to arrive to my home at 4:30 am so I could be at the airport by 5 am for a 7 am flight. I received a a call last night asking could the shuttle come 15 mins earlier because the there was another stop after mine. I said that was fine. So the shuttle should have been tommy home by 4:15 am. This morning at 4:45 my shuttle still hadn't arrived. I called Super Shuttle and was informed that I may need to find other arrangements because no vans came into work this morning. I didn't have other arrangements which is why I paid $25 for Super shuttle! They ended up calling a yellow cab and paying for it which was cool. However, if I didn't call I probably would've missed my flight because no one bothered to call me. read more

I also did not check reviews first. Looking for a service to take us to BWI, a 15 min. journey from our house, I called several on a list who did not have the time frame available. I ordered a car for 6:30 am this morning. We had baggage out on the curb ready for the pick up at that time. By 7am, still no pick up. I phoned the local service- I will say the woman I spoke to was very understanding-apparently they phoned at 540am to say there were no cars or vans available in the area, but had call yellow taxi to fill in. They did not show either. After being on hold, she came back on the line to say the taxi company had her on hold. At that point I had no choice but to ask my daughter to take us. This meant she had to reschedule an appointment. Again, the woman on the phone was very nice and I have received an email showing the cancellation and refund. I would stress that checking yelp BEFORE calling a service is the right thing to do. read more

I had a bad experience with them once before, but had to book them again cuz they're the only shuttle I could find to take me to NoVa. NEVER again! I landed at BWI and checked in with them at about 11:45 pm - I didn't get home until 3:34 am - no I'm not exaggerating. I waited two hours for the shuttle, checking in with them periodically only to be told I missed my van - 'how could I have missed it" I asked - since I had been sitting their impatiently forever - I was told I missed it because they never called my reservation number.....The gentleman at the counter agreed to issue me a refund, which he never did, and now I am getting the run-around from them on the phone trying to get them to refund my $$. Waited for 15 min for the second pick up and another 5 while he helped another passenger who's van didn't show, we have been driving around for 20 min to get to the next pick up. Super Shuttle was the worst transportation experience of my life. I was very tired after my 4,5 hours flight from the West. I was the only passenger in the van. The driver started complaining that he makes no money with one passenger trips etc. I suggested to change the job and got back... or you do not want to hear that crap about management, etc. I think, that was a pressure put on me to get more tips at least that was the main idea - money. My driver turned the radio off and kept complaining. The culture level of the Super Shuttle drivers is extremely low. Instead of try to please the customers to have some extra tips they extort their passengers. I'm very disanointed and next time taking a cab. I prefer to pay more and do not hear that crap again and feel myself comfortable. read more

One thing I can tell you about Supershuttle - their costumer service is unbelievable. and not in a good way. I Needed to get to Reagan Airport in DC, made a reservation online. Asked for a shared van, pick-up from Penn station, Baltimore. All seemed fine. The next day I've made my fatal mistake - I called them. You see, someone told me he thinks they might have a pick-up location closer to where I was staying. I asked the representative if I could change location. She told me she's canceling my order to make a new one. I said that's fine. Turned out she does not have the new location on her data base (apparently she could not checked that before canceling my original order). OK, no problem, I said, I would go to Penn station as I've planned before. And then (well, not right then, but after putting me on hold for about 10 min), it happened. Since yesterday, she told me, something changed - no reservations can be made for shared van from Penn station anymore. I can only reserve an exclusive van. How much? 147 (a hundred and forty seven!) dollar. A hundred dollar more than what it cost the day before. And no, there was no way to back to my original order - since I agreed to cancel it! Why do I have to pay more? Because I've made the grievous mistake of calling them. Great service, guys. Talking to the supervisor was even more despairing. Trying to find a solution, I offered to go to a different pick up location. Turns out, he can't tell me what locations I can go to. Why can't he tell me? He had an explanation: the reservation department is in Arizona. How can he, sitting in Arizona, tell me what location in Baltimore are served by the shared van?! So, I can't tell you anything about the van itself - I obviously did not take it. and with this level of costumer service, I am not likely to ever even attempt to take it again. read more

I booked it that same day with confusing and convoluted instructions about how to find me. They found me 5 min before their scheduled time. I rode by myself with driver and had an intriguing conversation about the political situation in Cameroon. I arrived well on time and the driver operated the car in a safe manner. James did a phenomenal job of navigating through rush hour traffic and managing the conflicting needs of many passenger groups to see that their destination was at the top of the list. Marcus from Baltimore is extremely rude. I got a phone call saying that the driver will arrive early and will leave 20 minutes before scheduled time slot. And this call was made 15 minutes prior. When I ask how it makes sense to leave before the scheduled time slot and how he can let me know about this only 15 minutes prior, he went silent. So I asked him. "Did you hear what I said?" and Marcus replied back the same phrase with a very rude tone. How unprofessional and disrespectful! It surprises me that supershuttle hires employees like this. Okay maybe I could try to understand this outrageous early pickup if this was delivered in an apologetic voice. But this attitude is simply not going to work. I will do my best to advise my friends and family to never use supershuttle as they are never company-quality but a low taxi driver-quality. read more

They get two stars only because the ride home was not as horrible as the ride to the airport. We were scheduled for a 7:15 pick-up and the van arrived at 7:55. The driver then proceeded to talk and look at his phone as he let the transmission pull him through our development. He went from 30 to 60 miles per hour the whole trip. Either too slow or too fast. He also fiddled with his phone or anything else he could reach the entire trip. Coming home we went to the desk and were told 15 minutes (standard answer). Imagine my surprise to go outside and see at least eight lined up. They could definitely use some customer service training! read more
