Everything seemed to be going smoothly at the airport with the texts on my phone, but then they said to report to the agent whom I could not find. When I finally saw her (she had not been there when I'd walked by twice previously), she was just sitting on a little stool with nothing other than a small logo on her shirt to denote she was the agent. On my return trip (I'd booked round trip a week before my trip), I got a confirmation text the night before, but then nothing. When I finally called, 15 minutes after my scheduled pick-up time (they did not call me), I was told, "We do not have a driver available in your area at this time" over and over again. I mentioned that I'd received confirmation and that was the response. She admitted that they don't start calling drivers to line up a trip until two hours before pick-up time (seems like poor management planning to me) and when I asked why I wasn't notified then, I got the same parroted response. As I was talking to another person to try to find a cab, she hung up on me! They did refund that portion of my purchase, but I had to scramble to find a cab and get to the airport in time. All in all, it was not a reliable ride and, since the return trip fiasco seems like an organizational issue, I will not be using this service again, here or elsewhere. read more

Wish I could give no stars. They deserve zero. My pickup window came and went. I tried to app to contact the driver and got no response. After several phone calls, I first got an automated message that the driver was 15 minutes away, which would have made him 45 minutes late. Then I was told it would be another hour. That was 20 minutes before my flight time, which I had put on the reservation. Finally, the driver himself called and said he could be there at 3:40. I jumped in my car but wasn't able to get to the airport in time, missed my flight, had to book another, and missed my 1st evening's event. read more

Booked a super shuttle from BWI. Had to wait 2 hours for a shuttle to arrive. Then the worker who was supposed to check customers in, disappeared for 30 minutes and when she did arrive no one knew who she was because she had on regular clothes. The pick up location is almost impossible to find because there isn't a sign or a booth just a random meeting spot. I had to ask over 20 people just to find out where to go. Lastly they do not have a customer service number, only an email address (that never responds) so directly voicing your concerns is near impossible. Terrible customer service and a waste of time and money. Never taking Super Shuttle again. read more

My opinion of supershuttle is going lower on a daily basis. First they call me at 3 am and never specify which ride was being cancelled, so at 3am we believe it is the Baltimore ride. I call Uber XL for a ride-- then alakazam supershuttle shows up. I cancelled the Uber at a cost of $10 (which supershuttle should pay but REFUSED to) At the airport I checked email and fount it was the Vegas ride that cancelled without leaving a confirmation number or location! I guess they have ESP. They are now at a crossroads. Refund my money and I might book again. The email they just sent just proves they don't read. I sent them these exact details along with a digital copy of the text message and voice message neither of which mention a location OR a confirmation number. Seems I should have read the reviews first. THE ONLY positive was the driver---a true professional who called a supervisor on radio and basically MADE him apologize! It's always those at the bottom who pay for administrative incompetence and lack of respect. read more

Horrible experience with pickup from BWI to Bethesda. Waited over 70 minutes for a van. They had no ability to communicate with the vans so could not provide any information on how long the wait would be, which was very stressful after a'long international flight. We.had paid extra for a van direct to our home but the company put another person in the van and said they would drop them off first, at a destination far from where we live. It required strenuous objections before they honored their commitment to provide me with the direct ride I had paid for. I wish I had just paid the extra $20 for a taxi. Wow. I'm a real customer, and I'm pissed off. First, you can't choose your time to be picked up from the airport. You can only choose a block. Okay, fine. So when the driver showed up near the beginning of the block, I wasn't quite ready-- I asked him to wait about five minutes. He YELLED at me. He said I had signed up to be picked up at that time and he was going to leave in one minute if I wasn't ready. I was so offended I started yelling back. It is really no surprise they have such a poor rating. I had a flight about 4 weeks ago. I booked with Super shuttle to be at my place between 5:30 and 5:45 am. I was at the assigned place at 5:32. I called them just to make sure the shuttle is on its way. They told me it has left. I really can't evaluate what they say to know if the shuttle has really been there or not but I was there 5:32 while the shuttle was supposed to be there in the window of 5:30 to 5:45. I had prepaid for the shuttle and already had paid about 20% tip as well. I was lucky to be able to find and take a cab to the airport and reach my flight. On the phone that day I asked them for reimbursement. They said they will refer it to their costumer service. After 4 weeks from that report I got an email that they won't reimburse me. This is the first time I have left a negative review in my life for any company or anyone since I certainly think people do mistakes and don't wanna affect their businesses in negative ways. But this time I felt they have AWEFUL costumer service that won't care at all about your experience so I thought I really should share this. I will NEVER try them again for sure. read more

Absolutely the WORST service, and they don't even care. I booked a round trip: for both trips I had negative experiences. I submitted my complaints through the app and through their surveys and none contacted me nor refunded me. So I decided to write this review so at least other people may find it useful. Home to airport: my ride was 30 minutes late, but I am always giving myself plenty of time so at least I didn't miss my flight. The issue with this leg of the trip was that the vehicle was not a van but a single private car. While I understand that vans may not be always the most convenient way for the company, I chose the company because I didn't want a single private car service, as I was travelling by myself and I wanted to feel the safety of being in a bigger group for the trip. Nothing negative happened, but I was not offered a choice or asked ahead of time: the driver was just assigned and I saw it in the app. If I wanted an Uber or a Lyft I would have chosen that, and paid probably significantly less. Airport to home: I checked in at 3 pm and booked this trip weeks before. When I arrived the people at the airport said that they were waiting to assign me a van... 30 minutes later (in the heat of summer in DC) they still haven't found me a van. At 3:40 they found me a van... it arrived at 4pm... it picked up 3 other groups and then we start the trip back home. I was the last stop. It took 2 hours to drop me off, but I learned about the Estimated Drop Off time only when I was on the van and I didn't have any other choice. The traffic was NOT existent, so the problem was not the traffic. The trip usually take 40 minutes, and I understand the fact that it may take longer for people to be dropped off in different locations, but the company could have split us into different vans, and drop us off much faster. It's just about poor planning and poor communications. So after a 3 hours in the heat (because the AC in the van was not working much, so imagine how pleasant the travel was...) I submitted all my comments in their surveys, in the app and I even submitted requests for clarifications in the FAQ section of the app. They have my contact information but none reached out to me, so they don't care. Again, if you want to be late, have a terrible transportation experience and be ignored as a customer, feel free to choose this company. read more

Drivers are great; pick up at BWI is beyond dreadful with no visible agents out side or inside. Getting dispatch office on phone, while waiting outside in pickup area is near impossible - 10 - 15 minute wait in hold! Many drivers do not want to do non Baltimore trips so wait for a Bethesda ride is near impossible. They are far from "super"! Yuck! read more

The van was dirty and the driver was terrible. He had no people skills. He was mad because he had a drop off in DC. I was going to MD. He complained and argued with other drivers and the attendant at Washington National for about 20 minutes. He would not take the lady to DC. He then left and saw another driver parked at arrivals. He got out and complained to him for another 10 minutes about how they gave him a drop off in DC albeit he already refused to take her. First and last time we use SuperShuttle. We paid extra for a nonstop ride. The ride to the airport was fine. On the way back, we were told, there would be a 30-minute wait. Fine. The plane was late and we figured they had to reschedule. After 1 hour, I asked the staff person to put us in a van with other passengers, just so we wouldn't have to wait any longer. The driver then bypassed the three closest addresses and went to the furthest first, so it ended up taking 3 hours for a trip from the airport that usually takes 40 minutes. This is my first time using SuperShuttle and I did not have a positive experience. I used the online check in method and it worked fine, I waited about 15-20 minutes at the curb side waiting for the driver. But it was the journey that made this a negative review. Once we are all boarded, driver didn't greet us or say anything. Then off to the first drop off! We thought they would have grouped us around the same area, nope! there are many apartments and houses along the way. The driver was yawning and almost got into an accident because he didn't listen to the GPS and was trying to cut to the lane too quickly. In addition, after dropping off one of the customers, we sat in the car for about 15 minutes because the "route"'on the driver's screen disappeared. Instead of actively trying to resolve the problem by engaging the customers what is going on, we just waited 15 minutes for dispatch to send him a note. All in all, it took closes to 1.5 - 2 hours from BWI to D.C. Area. I would NOT recommend anyone trying to get into D.C. To use this. It is a waste of your time and Uber is worth the difference. read more

Had a terrible experience with them!! I reserved a car from the Hilton Baltimore the night before and IT NEVER SHOWED UP! I had to call the 800 number, which took fifteen minutes to get someone on the line. I finally get someone who tells me that the driver was there and tried to call me and then left. That it's not true!! I was standing outside at the curb in the cold right on time the whole time. I had cell phone coverage and I checked my logs. No missed calls. I was extremely upset by their reliability and customer service. I'm NEVER using them again and would NOT recommend them to anyone else. read more

Booked a trip to Washington DC with Expedia and they use Super Shuttle as their ground transportation. Super Shuttle left us sitting at the airport for an hour. They said they had other customers to take care of before us. I called Expedia and explained the promblems we had and they said theycould not help. We got back around 1020 on our flight from Las Vegas and expected to have the shuttle pick us up after that, I had paid and confirmed my reservations and upon arrival at the Super Shuttle desk at BWI, the attendant was rude and dismissive and told me there would be no shuttles available for hours and we would be waiting around all night. I asked why we were not notified of this prior to make different arrangements to go home, and the attendant tossed a business card at me and told me to call the 1-800 number. This was completely rude and unprofessional. There was a crowd of travelers around the booth trying to get their rides home as well. We ended up calling Uber and it was almost cheaper and WAY less stressful than this shuttle service. Very frustrating that a service we paid for up front was not available and we could have potentially been stuck atBWI all night. Will not be using them again. read more

I had scheduled a pickup at 6:30 to BWI and got a call at 4:40 am with a message that there was a "major" change to my pickup. No other information. I have been on hold for over half an hour (!) waiting for someone to tell me if I have a ride to the airport or not. Because I paid up front, I am forced to have to deal with these people and their awful customer service. This is not a reliable service by any stretch of the imagination and they obviously do not care about repeat business. Save yourself some stress and take another mode of transportation. read more

Supershuttle fails to schedule an itinerary correctly or update it. Their website lacks poor functionality (you cannot get a copy of the trip emailed to your address no matter what - it doesn't go through, you won't receive it; updates do not go through - it forces you to call their customer service and even they can't update it for you). Let me save you the trouble and tell you that the app will give you the same issues as the website. You will not be able to correct or update your itinerary. I just cancelled them and they charged my company card (professional businesses put the credit charge on Hold. They should not charge it until 24 hours before the trip.) I reserved a car service at a cheaper rate and professional business elsewhere - look up 'Transportation Services' in the search engine. It's obvious that any positive review of this company is FAKE and paid for. read more

My trip was cancelled this morning and I almost couldn't get to the airport on time. Called the customer service, they were very nice but it took an hour to figure out what's going on with my driver. Sent several messages trying to reach out to my driver as well but got no respond. It seems like there's a huge construction somewhere but they didn't update the traveler. Was standing alone on the street since 3:45 AM and didn't get someone to help until 4:25 AM... (My flight was at 6AM) It's my first booking with Super Shuttle and the experience was terrible. I had to call Uber after I figure there's no way I can get to the airport if not did any action at that point. Don't rely on the service if you figure that you are missing your flight. The new APP and website did a great job with booking, I hope they will do a better job taking it serious because people rely on the service to get to the airport on time. read more

I used SuperShuttle for the first time to BWI. The trip to the airport was fine. The driver was on time and pleasant and the van was clean. The return was a different story. I confirmed airport arrival as instructed. When I arrived at the pickup location in front of the airport, I was told the driver was 10-12 minutes away. Disappointed that the shuttle wasn't already there, but 10 minutes wasn't a deal breaker. Well...25 minutes later...still no van. I was then told the van was 5 minutes away...didn't happen. Finally, the van arrived after waiting 45 minutes. The driver offered no apology - actually he didn't speak at all. No customer service whatsoever. I could have driven myself home in half the time that it took for the van to just arrive at the airport. This was a horrible first experience and great inconvenience. read more

I have never used Super Shuttle until Oct 24,2017 when I arrived in BWI on a business trip. The driver was rude and contributed towards a very uncomfortable ride to my hotel. Not one greeting or interaction other than talking on the phone in another language. However I chose to give Super Shuttle another change and I am glad I did! When I arrived at the airport in Baltimore there was a super shuttle at the location I was told to go to but I wasn't assigned to that van so I had to wait 30 minutes for the next van. When that van arrived it was another 20 minutes before we departed. At the end of the trip I made a reservation for Super Shuttle to pick me up. They selected the time and said they would be there between 5:25 AM and 5:40 AM. At 5:45 I attempted to contact the driver and a dispatcher from Phoenix called and said the van was about 10-15 minutes away. I checked the location of the van on the really cool app they provided and the van was going the other way and was several miles away. I called at 5:50 AM and cancelled my reservation and was told I would receive a refund. Apparently not. I had to cancel two hours before my scheduled pickup time to receive a refund. A cab to the airport was only $10 more than Super Shuttle and the people at my hotel that were on the same flight and waited for the Super Shuttle got on the plan after the door was closed but before the plane pushed back from the terminal. This was legitimately one of the worst experiences I've had with something I've paid for. We booked a non-stop van a month ago. Last night when the van arrived at BWI after about a 30 minute wait, we were told that this was now our shared ride (we had already prepaid). The driver headed down to start making Montgomery County stops. Van 847 has a tire indicator light on and additionally a low pressure warning sign, however from riding in the van it appears that the issues are either a bubble in the tire, an axle issue, alignment, or all of the above; issues that one probably overlooks in a regular car, but shouldn't in a Ford E350 van carrying a total of 9 persons and luggage. The van shook aggressively while containing 8 passengers and the driver still drove near 80 mph on the highway. After the first stop which was slightly on the way to our destination (near the ICC and I-95 while we were in downtown Silver Spring) the driver then continued on to the ICC connector to Olney, to make a drop, then down to North Bethesda despite the request of the remaining passengers, then dropped us at Silver Spring, while the remaining 3 passengers still had a trip to Germantown scheduled. This was neither the most efficient nor sensible routing. So that was our experience, we got home about 2 hours later than we scheduled with the addition of legit fear and frustration. And to be even more insulted, for something we paid for. Today I called to request a refund. The customer service member was curt (which is fine), took my information down and gave me a case number. There's currently no time for when I'll hear back, only in the order that they get to it she said. I'm guessing I lost out on my little money, I'll eat that, but I'm certain this will be the final SuperShuttle experience that weI'll partake in. read more

RUN AWAY !!! The BWI super shuttle is a scam. I'm riding in the van right now. This is a pretty bad service. Poor professionalism at the service desk. 30 minute wait for the shuttle. Then our van has three fares. We live in northern Montgomery County about 40 minutes from BWI. The first drop is in NE Washington DC so they drive 40 minutes past my house to get to the first stop. Ridiculously bad value. Right now it looks like a 40 minute drive turned into a 30 minute wait and a 90 minute van ride. read more

After I landed, I received text messages from Super Shuttle that provided me the ability to self-check in and the next steps to catch my shuttle. After I did the self check-in for my flight landing and my luggage, I received a message that I was to go to Super Shuttle #859. I went to that shuttle and told the driver I was on his route. He asked where I was going, and I told him my drop off location on Connecticut Ave NW Washington DC. We loaded my luggage into the van, and closed the doors. As we began to pull away, he confirmed my location and name. My name nor my location was on his list, despite my text message attached below indicating that he was my shuttle driver. He was about to pull away, saying "I'll see if I can get dispatch to change it" when the last passenger approached the van. At that point we had 5 people with information from Super Shuttle indicating we were to take van 859. There were only 4 seats available, and since I was not "on his list" he said I needed to leave. Knowing that someone from Super Shuttle had me assigned to his car, as indicated by the messages I received, I feared that another driver would have the same response of, "well, you're not on my list, so I can't take you." After several minutes of discussion, we both tried to contact Super Shuttle personnel at (727) 299-2293. Our calls went unanswered for several minutes.The driver continued to yell and argue with me, and called the police on me. We explained the situation to the MTA police, and he sympathized with my situation of getting info from Super Shuttle saying one thing, but the driver saying another. Once Officer Raley (badge #423) promised to get me on the next Super Shuttle, I voluntarily left the van and shuttle 859 left BWI airport. Officer Raley then walked me to what he thought was the Super Shuttle stand in BWI. It turned out that Super Shuttle lost its stand privileges at BWI. The MTA got in direct contact with Super Shuttle, even though the driver nor I could get in contact with them. Once the MTA contacted Super Shuttle, I got a phone call indicating I had been assigned to a new driver. Officer Raley walked with me back to the Super Shuttle pick up point and ensured I was able to get on this shuttle. Given the awful experience of an angry driver, a driver calling the police on me, and Super Shuttle sending me to a shuttle that was already full, Officer Raley advocated that Super Shuttle do something to compensate me for all of these inconveniences. The dispatcher told him that as a dispatcher she was unable to do anything further, and she said I should file this incident online. Officer Raley gave me his card once I boarded the shuttle, and he can be reached at (410) 859 7041, should you want to confirm the details of the story. I have filed this here on Yelp because my complaint through their website received no reply. **Edit: Super Shuttle customer care responded to my original review (above). They referred me to Super Shuttle personnel who followed up on my complaint within hours of my email. That employee has resolved the situation wholly to my satisfaction. Unfortunately, I did still have the original awful experience, and it was only after I posted to Yelp! that they tried to make the situation right. They did, however, apologize and made the effort to make the situation right. read more

The driver was right on time and I appreciate the text letting me know he was heading to pick us up. I also appreciated the fact that I could track him as he drove to get us, which helped us be ready when he arrived. I would definitely us the non-stop ride option again! read more

The worst experience! We checked in and was sent our shuttle number to follow on the location map, well the shuttle never moved on the map for 30 mins. I informed a shuttle worker on site that the vehicle was not moving and asked l what was the expected arrival time and was told 25mins. Well we waited for 45 mins before I called to report the situation. As soon as I hung up from dispatch the vehicle started moving and arrived in a record time of 5 mins. Once he arrived we were not greeted with an apology instead we had to wait another 10 mins for a passenger to retrieve her bags from baggage claim before we were able to pull off. The shuttle worker at BWI was rude and inconsiderate stating to me that we are waiting for someone to check in before we pull off and walked away from me, when the instructions clearly states to check in after you have fully departed your flight and are curbside ready. The entire experience was bad. The service was horrible for a first time rider. We spent an entire 2 hours from the time we retrieved our bags until the time we got to our home for a 30 min trip. Chris our driver stated that he would drop us off first because of the wait time well you guessed it we were not dropped off first. I do not ever plan on riding with super shuttle ever again. read more

The attendant was hostile, unhelpful, and was on her phone for over 1/2 hour instead of calling a shuttle to pick us up even though the dispatcher said that one had been available and waiting in the parking area.
