She walked us through every option, helped design the details, went over timelines, and kept everything organized leading up to the big day. During the rehearsal, she was patient and professional, making sure everyone knew what to do. On the wedding day, she kept everything running smoothly and handled all the details behind the scenes so we could just enjoy the moment. She was always quick to respond, super helpful, and easy to work with. Kelsey is kind, caring, and genuinely great at what she does. We couldn't have asked for a better coordinator, she really made the whole experience that much better. Superstition Manor - Wedding Venue Superstition Manor was everything we wanted and more. The venue is beautiful, and we loved that so much was already included in the price, decorations, food, and a coordinator. My fiancé & I are planning our wedding and decided to check out Superstition Manor for our special day. For starters, the venue is absolutely beautiful. They have about 3-4 areas where you can have your ceremony. The barn would have been the location of choice for us. The bridal suites are HUGE & the decor is nice with the dark wood finishes. My future hubby & I are foodies, so having a food tasting was priority for us before making our decision. The coordinator we were given was Krystin. Albeit she was nice, but we didn't exactly feel like she was the best coordinator for us. Initially, we requested a tasting prior to booking, and she said yes. A few days later, the answer was NO until we paid our deposit. We were totally open to paying for a pre-tasting. After manager approval, we scheduled a tasting for $200. The food was not what we expected. We were expecting to see a better presentation of the food for our big day. Our plates did not have any garnish, seasoning, or personality. So glad we were able to taste the food prior to booking. We definitely believe that Superstition has potential, as they provide all-inclusive packages. A bit of feedback would be to allow the bride & groom to select from a preferred vendor list if they are not wanting to utilize the chefs or other options. Unfortunately, I had an okay experience here for my wedding. Stressful day to say the least.. there are list of things that could've been better and I hope they can improve the experience for other couples. First, my mother-in-law came to me saying that we were missing name cards for the tables (I would say around 10+ people). This was two hours before the start of the ceremony and my wedding coordinator didn't even take notice when it was clearly laid out on the website spreadsheet AND 5x7 paper cutouts. I also knew all the name cards were there to begin with because it was done the night before and separated by table but somehow a person from each table was missing? Also, my fiancé said he saw the wedding coordinator once the entire time when in the suite. She could've possibly went up multiple times, but then I would suggest talking to the groom specifically and making sure the groom is in line with everything he needs... because what did the put on 15 minutes before the ceremony? The boutonniéres. And that's only because I noticed it last minute. I felt like I was orchestrating my own wedding so it was frustrating to realize I was kind of on my own. Another thing was the sweetheart table. There were big flowers behind all the ceremony chairs that were supposed to be switched to the sweetheart table that were never transferred over so it ended up looking awkward with 4 candles on the podium and nothing else. The steak we paid for was $135 per person which is an insane price but was told the extra money goes to pay for those preparing the meal. My steak came out very tough and hard to chew which made me think how many other people are receiving something they can't eat. I noticed one person go back to ask for another. I felt very taken advantage from and spent around $45,000 for a mediocre wedding. Also, I'm glad no one booked on my wedding day because they can hold 3 weddings in one day and I couldn't imagine sharing my wedding day for the price I paid... especially the north villa and the room next to it. I could probably add more, but I think you understand the situation well enough. As a guest, I expected a certain level of cleanliness and organization, but the North Villa had a noticeable sewage smell that made it really uncomfortable to be in. I just got married and can truly say I felt like a princess! Superstition Manor made my special day stress free and absolutely perfect! Natalie is such an amazing person who truly puts a lot of time and effort into everything she does and you can tell she truly loves her job! During the planning process she was available to answer questions at all times and did not hesitate to share ideas. On our wedding day she was so attentive and made sure every detail was perfect! She even went as far as to make sure we had time to have appetizers and drinks throughout the event. She was available at all times and truly went above and beyond to ensure we were happy and all needs were met. Natalie was our coordinator and she was absolutely amazing, however all staff/managers we had interactions with were extremely kind and helpful. They work as a community to ensure your day truly goes as smoothly as possible! They even have recommendations for vendors they use often so that takes research and time off your plate as well. The back yard is the perfect scene for any type of wedding and the porch is great for food set up and cake set up for serving the guests and wedding party. Also, there are bright lights that illuminate the area quit well for night weddings, receptions, etc. Inside is perfect for any bar setups and even a place for music. The manager of this establishment has no deescalation skills whatsoever. Upon some events unfolding my sister mother and I were asked to leave the venue before getting clear and concise information about an incident that occurred in which my sister was assaulted by another attendee of the wedding. She (the manager) proceeded to physically invade mine and my sister's space by forcibly physically grabbing my sister, moving both of our chairs and attempted to usher us out after the incident occurred. This is by far inappropriate behavior by someone who is in such a high level of customer service and her actions escalated and exacerbated the situation completely and ruined what should have been a memorable evening with our family. The venue was beautiful, but the staff was lacking. Training should occur so as to preserve the nature of such a momentous occasion. read more

My husband and I had our wedding at Superstition Manor 12/10/22, and this is my honest review of the entire experience- booking, planning and of course the big day. For reference, my husband proposed on 12/24/2021, and we booked Superstition Manor on 1/18/22 for the South Villa. One of the main pros of this venue is definitely the price. This was by far the least expensive venue we explored and that alone played heavily into us booking Superstition Manor. The venue itself is beautiful, clean and has great views. There are 2 different villas and a barn for larger weddings, so they can accommodate weddings of all sizes. They also have preferred vendors who will give discounts if you book them, which helped us save money (more on that later though). They offer a nice variety of food choices and overall the meals were good sized and tasted great. The staff (servers/bartenders) were VERY nice/attentive and went the extra mile to make our day so amazing and special, which we really appreciated. The decor for the reception and the ceremony were gorgeous, everything was decorated so well and the venue does have a great selection of linens/table decor, etc. Now for my issues with the the venue- there were things that felt very unprofessional both in the planning process and the actual day of. I do not want to call anyone out or get anyone in trouble, so I will not be using any names in my review. 1) When we went to see the venue for the first time, the different packages were explained to us one way, and after booking we found out something completely different, costing us extra money a few short weeks before the wedding. My husband and I were shocked at the sudden change in price but after paying so much already and being so close to the big day, what could we do? 2) When we initially booked the wedding, we were planning for the ceremony to start at 4pm. After talking to our wedding coordinator, we got the green light to switch it to 4:30pm as we wanted to have sunset views during the ceremony. Despite talking this over with our wedding coordinator, she had no idea our wedding was starting at 4:30pm- it took all the way until the very last meeting 2 weeks before the wedding for her to bring it up and have us correct her. For being such a big detail, you would think the change would have been noted immediately. 3) The wedding coordinator did not make a timeline for the wedding. I had vendors calling me days before the wedding asking for a timeline and I even asked the coordinator via text/phone call and never got anything definite. So I had to make my own and shared it with all the vendors to keep everyone on the same page. 4) The wedding coordinator was MIA at my wedding- this was the biggest issue I had because I did not see my wedding coordinator until 1 hour before the ceremony. In the meantime, I had to coordinate my first look with my dad, and my first look/vows with my husband, and family photos by myself. I had no guidance from the coordinator the entire day. I understand that she was busy, but I was told that my day would be stress free and that simply wasn't the case as I was coordinating big events by myself. 5) Another thing that bothered me was the unlit candles as seen in the picture of this post. We bought floating candles off of Amazon with the idea that they would be cascading down the stairs for our ceremony. As I was walking down I noticed they weren't even lit. I know it's such a small detail but it felt pretty sloppy to have candles in the holder not lit. Other small details were messed up as well, like my seating chart for the reception not being followed so guests were sat at the wrong seat. Sure it's small stuff but it added to the stress of the day and was another hiccup that could have been avoided. 6) This isn't exactly the venue's fault but since it's a preferred vendor I am adding this: The DJ we went with was recommended by the venue. We booked them pretty soon after booking Superstition Manor, so we were their client for about 10-11 months before the wedding. In all that time, they never bothered to learn our last name. In fact, right before we were going to do the grand entrance, the DJ goes "wait, what's your last name?" So unprofessional. At the end of the day, I knew the wedding wasn't going to be perfect and there would be hiccups/things out of my control. But I feel like a lot of these could have been avoided. Having more support the day of would have eliminated so many issues and I am disappointed that I dealt with what I did when I was promised an all inclusive experience. Overall, I loved my wedding and of course will cherish the memories and the day forever... but if I had a Time Machine, I wouldn't book Superstition Manor again. It's a beautiful venue and the price is better than others, however the "all inclusive wedding" is misleading if you have to coordinate your wedding while you're trying to enjoy it. read more

I got married here 10/22/2022 in the Barn. I just would like to take a moment to talk about how wonderful my wedding coordinator was, Delaney. Delaney was so accommodating to my every request. If I didn't like something, she fixed it. She listened to every of my requests and when I needed her opinion, she gave me her very stylish, fashion forwards advice. She helped me with my table design. I will post the pictures below. I was going for a boho/country vibe. I LOVED her honest feedback, if something was too overwhelming, she told me. It ended up looking perfect She was always just a phone call away, she answered always in such a timely matter about all of my questions and concerns. If you get married at the Manor, Delaney is my go-to! The venue has preferred vendors, or you could chose your own if you like. I went with their preferred Dj (Save this Memory) and it was a good choice. They kept my small party going! The bridal suit was so beautiful, there was booths to do hair and makeup. The grooms suite was perfect for the boys, pool tables and a bar. I am so happy with my experience. If I could, I would do it again lol! Superstition Manor was a perfect venue for my daughter's wedding Oct 1,2023. The venue was gorgeous, and the outdoor ceremony space created beautiful views of the Superstition Mts. The bridal suites were gorgeous with tons of natural lighting which made it a dream for our hair and makeup teams, as well as the photographers. We rented both the north and south villa space which created a seamless flow for the event and our guests. The venue was very accommodating with any and all requests we had. My husband and I had our wedding there in March using their barn venue. The suites to get ready in are awesome and they allow you to get ready on site without an extra fee. I am someone that has a hard time making decisions so going with Superstition Manor was perfect for me. They consider themselves an all inclusive venue which allow for some of the options to be easier to make. They have a warehouse of decor to pick from. We used some of theirs and some of our own. We did bring in a different company to supply a full coffee bar which they allowed. We also had a beer burro there for cocktail hour. I decided to use the credit they give towards our cake/desserts and used fake floral from a small local business that was a lot more affordable. Shayla was our coordinator/planner with the venue. I'm not sure if it is luck of the draw for who you get but my husband and I felt that Shayla was the perfect match for us. She made everything seamless for us. We had a few appointments to coordinate everything but she was also very responsive via text/phone call as I needed. I felt like she understood what I needed at any given moment. She understood our vibe and at the end of the day even on our wedding day she stepped in multiple times to get people in the right places doing the right things. I can't say enough great things about Shayla. I'm sure they're all great planners but our experience with Shayla is why I am giving this venue 5 stars. read more

Delaney and the whole Superstition Manor team were so amazing for our wedding day in May. The venue was affordable too, compared to so many others! Delaney was there with us along the way for our planning our wedding - and always available to answer my hundreds of questions, and always so eager to help! She ensured I didn't need to worry about the details on the wedding day, as that was her job. Delaney did all the decorating, and she has such amazing style. I showed her pictures of what I wanted, and she made it came to life. And we could borrow and use all of their decor, as that's part of the package! It was awesome that we didn't have to buy all that wedding stuff to use just for one day. So while we customized some things to make it our own, she went above and beyond to make our wedding what it was. It ran so smoothly, the food and drinks were amazing, the guests had SO much fun, and it really couldn't have been more perfect. I was very happy with my experience with Superstition Manor. I booked with the manor in fall 2019 with plans for a November 2020 wedding. I was extremely happy with the price - I did not think I would be able to afford a full evening wedding, and actually was planning on going with their brunch option to save money. I was very thankful for Brittany and Elizabeth putting together a wedding package that fit my budget and allowed me to have a beautiful Sunday evening wedding. We did decide to postpone the summer of 2020 and move our date to November 2021. My coordinator for the remainder of my experience with Kieley, and I was very happy with her patience with me (I may have had a LOT of questions, ALL the time lol). She was very kind and knowledgeable! Kieley and Elizabeth made the day of the wedding MAGICAL. All I needed to do was show up!! The venue was gorgeous, and my guests were raving over how fabulous the entire evening was. One of the best days of our life was the day our daughter got married at Superstition Manor. This was all we could think of at the end of the wedding day. We spent months planning for one day to be perfect. It truly was a perfect wedding day experience at The Barn venue of Superstition Manor. We reserved the date and location nearly two years ahead of the wedding date. The contract, payments, and help with preferred vendors went smoothly. Once assigned a wedding planner, all arrangements went through one person which made communication even easier. Delaney was available to our daughter via text as needed and we were able to meet in person for 4 main events pre-wedding (design meeting, food tasting, 30 Days out meeting, and rehearsal). We did use some of the discounted preferred vendors like Save This Memory for photography, videography, and DJ services combined through a package deal with the venue. All catering, beverages, design items, and linens are included in the packages. We added some of our own flowers (fresh and silk) and other personal touches that blended well with their stock supply. The wedding party suites are phenomenal for both the girls and the guys. We arrived early and celebrated the entire day and evening. On the day of the wedding, we were able to relax and focus on the special day while our coordinator Delaney handled ALL the details. She had listened and taken such good notes that she knew EXACTLY what the bride and groom wanted and didn't have to pester anyone with constant questions. The venue was stunning, and we heard endless compliments from our friends and family. The serving staff was attentive and unobtrusive. The convenience and peace of mind of having all parts of the ceremony and reception in the same location was worth every penny. We considered this day an investment in our daughter's future. As for the venue it was nice but the groomsmen room a/c was out in an Arizona June almost July. I attended a wedding at Superstition Manor and it was gorgeous! A little hot for a wedding outside in August in Arizona but much worth taking in the heat to see a good friend marry his forever love. The grounds outside were breathtaking and perfect for pictures. The reception area was inside and beautiful. There is a bar area for the guests to hang out in while waiting for the wedding party. It had very a very cool and classic ambiance and was very comfortable and inviting. The dining area was smallish but perfect for the amount of guests at this celebration. I cannot say enough about the food!!!!! There were three options at the event we attended. Baked ziti with meatballs, salmon and rice pilaf with asparagus and a huge pork chop topped with apples. The ziti was tender and cheesy with a red sauce full of herbs and flavor topped with delicious and robust meatballs. The pork chop was enormous, tender and flavorful with delicious apples on top. The breadsticks and salad were outstanding with olives, cucumbers and tomatoes. I would definitely recommend having a special occasion here. The parking lot was private and close to the venue. The service by the staff was wonderful. They followed the party around making sure every empty cup and plate were picked up right away and were always asking if there was anything else we needed or wanted. read more

Before booking - read this review! Don't be fooled by the awards and accolades this event space claims to have won. Sure, it is a pretty venue and seems to be reasonably priced, but so are many other event spaces in the greater Mesa/Phoenix area. Read the contract you are about to sign and review past testimonials. After what my fiancé and I went through this summer, I would not recommend Superstition Manor to anyone. The early communication with our event coordinator, Rebecca was good. She was responsive and answered our questions promptly. Since this was a destination wedding, Rebecca helped us with the decor ideas by sending us photos of different options and us making the selections. Everything was going smoothly until Covid hit. Our original ceremony date was June 19th. This was just weeks after the entire country experienced a mandator lockdown of some capacity. Our home state of Wisconsin, was still partially shut down and Covid infections were still on the rise. Many states had a social distancing policy and indoor gatherings were limited to 10 individuals or less. Many experts predicted that we would not have a vaccine by the end of 2020 and due to the contagious nature of the virus, it wouldn't go away on its own. With all this going on, my fiancé and I had to put the safety of our friends and family before our desires to get married. Traveling out of state and by plane was a danger to our well being and a risk we were not willing to take. After being completely transparent with Rebecca and the venue owner, John Burns about our reservations with proceeding with our ceremony in light of a pandemic, we were given two options. Option 1, we could reschedule, but it had to be within 2020 and option 2, we could cancel, but we would not be given a refund. Keep in mind at this point, we had already paid thousands of dollars towards the wedding contract. This is the lack of compassion we were greeted with in an already horrible situation. Based on this and listening to the health experts, we decided that our only option was to cancel. Fast forward to today, where we have not been shown any empathy by the venue or any of its staff. We paid $3,000 for a ceremony that never took place, food that was never eaten, and services never rendered. We understand businesses have contracts and policies to protect themselves and under normal circumstances, agree with these policies. However at present time we are in a global pandemic. The government has provided small businesses with aid packages to support them during these uncertain times. There is no need for the business to pray on and take advantage of soon to be husband and wives. A wedding should be a magical experience, not a moment in time that you regret. I strongly regret our decision for entering into contract with John and Superstition Manor. This business only cares about making money regardless of the situation. As parents of the groom, we were involved in the entire planning process. In order to help you feel confident that this is truly the venue of your dreams, let me break down the details for you: 1) This was for the most part, a stress-free process. This was most important to me, as mother of the groom. I wanted the kids to enjoy their wedding planning and not have it be a "chore". This is an excellent venue if you want low stress is because it is an All inclusive venue. Meaning, everything you need for your wedding is included in the price. Unless you WANT to, all the vendors are onsite, relieving the stress of researching many different vendors and reading countless reviews before making decision after decision. We used all the recommended vendors, including onsite catering, the florist, the DJ, and the baker. As stated, if you already have your own vendors, you will not be charged for those services in the price. Here is an example of how the all inclusive price works: Food - You will receive a specified dollar amount to spend on food, but if your taste preference is seafood, for example, you can chose a higher priced package. Floral - our package included a $400 credit towards floral. The florist gave us the option to assemble all of our own flowers(after teaching us, of course) in order to save a few hundred dollars, which gave us more money towards the flower budget. We LOVED having everything all in one place!!! 2) The venue itself. This place is INCREDIBLE. Your view during your vows, will be a picture perfect view of the Superstition mountains. It is absolutely breathtaking. The venue itself is like a Tuscan mansion. There are water fountains throughout, beautiful stone work and iron work throughout. Gorgeous furniture, hand crafted by the owner, beautiful stair cases, stone fireplaces, walking paths, you name it! The bride and groom suites are everything you could ever want. Each room is it's own full guest suite! The grooms suites are equipped with pool tables, darts, gorgeous rustic furniture, refrigerators stocked with sodas and waters, and much more! The bridal suite has multiple areas to get ready for each of the bridesmaids and an enormous, detailed mirror that photographs beautifully. The best part about these suites is that you have access to them as early in the morning and you can leave everything in there until the wedding is over. This venue is equipped with some impressive resources. There is one entire room from floor to ceiling with every color of linen you can imagine, from silk, to lace, to fun prints. They did not have the color we wanted for the chair ties, BUT they ordered it and provided it to us at no extra cost. That is above and beyond service. The room right next door to this is the decor room. Again, it is full of decorations, table settings, centerpieces, bird cages, isle runners, candles, even a 7 foot cross...just about anything you want, is there! 3) Staff - All the staff here went out of their way to make this event special. The owners were amazing to us. A big thanks and shout out to Brittany Burns, and our coordinator, Rebecca, for making this one of the best days of our lives! Rebecca, was available all all hours to answer every question we had. She accommodated every request, and we felt like the whole staff really cared about OUR wedding. Rebecca even gathered all of our wedding gifts, boxed our cake, gathered anything left behind, and loaded everything onto a big wagon to make it easy on us at the end of the night. Thank you all! 4) Tips: If you read other reviews that are questionable, I would not let that sway your decision negatively. For example: If you have a specific food request, just ask. Some people like their food more salted, like we do, so we requested extra salt. If you want your meat cooked medium rare, ask! We found that if there was something we didn't prefer, we simply asked and they accommodated every request. We had many positive comments about the food. I feel some of the other reviews here were unfair regarding the food, as well as some of the other unsupported, under documented comments. One suggestion I would make: Ask for the bride and groom to have a microphone on or near when the vows are read. Because the ceremony is outside, their voices will have to contend with nature and other factors that go along with an outdoor wedding. Expect there to be a wait at the bar. I don't think this is unreasonable at a wedding, nor have I ever been to a wedding where I didn't have to wait, but we did have a few comments about the line. Unless you want to pay for a second bartender, I think it's a normal expectation to have a line. In conclusion, you will not regret choosing Superstition Manor as your venue. BRIDES!!!!!! Please think twice before committing to this place. Attended my nieces wedding at this place. The venue was lovely but that was about it. The ceremony started at 5pm then followed by cocktail from 5:30-6. 6pm we went in to the barn for the reception. As I walked in, I noticed 3 bottles of salad dressing on the table, pretty tacky. Everybody sat down then the wedding party was introduced followed by the first dance. The salad was served, after the staff took the salad plates we assumed that dinner was going to follow. No it did not! Dinner was given around 7:45pm. 7:20pm we saw the cart of food being rolled in, pretty tacky if you asked me. Why would a venue bring in the food where guest can see it‍‍. Food-steak was so dry and tough, mashed potato was so dry with no butter or gravy. Chicken parmigiana looks and taste like TV dinner . Wedding Planner-I don't know her name but she was awful! She just stood there watching people getting bored waiting for food to be served or at least a program to keep people busy. Literally after the first dance, bride and father dance then groom and mother dance nothing happened for more than an hour until the food was served. Beware: This venue over promises and grossly under delivers. They will treat you like family during the planning and then yell and insult your family and friends during your special day. Large weddings overwhelm their space and staff. Not to mention we lost a lot of $$ because of their poor planning. They took zero responsibility, ignored our attempts to rectify the situation, were super prideful and lied to the better business bureau when our issues reached that point of escalation. It was unbelievable. It would have been so easy for them to make things right with us, but they chose not to and now have lost tens of thousands of dollars worth of potential business from our friends and family because no one wants to go back. If you are looking for an unforgettable wedding venue, this is your place. You cannot beat the views and the absolutely breath taking decor. They have put a lot of love and passion into what they do. On top of the decor that they had they let me bring in some of our homemade decor to put the personal touches we were looking for. Everything started on time and went above and beyond to make us feel at home. It went so smoothly time flew. We were told it would go by fast but didn't think it would be that fast. However with the way it was executed it will be a moment we will never forget! Patios are beautiful. In the banquet room, music was extremely loud and uncomfortable, as well as the flashing lights. DJ was on the balcony. Where I was sitting, we could not hear or understand what he was saying. Tables were placed too close together, making it crowded, and hard to walk through. Chicken and steak were undercooked, sides did not have a good flavor. Mixed drinks were of bad quality. Servers were not organized, and appeared inefficient. Toilets do not want to flush! I would not host, nor plan to attend another event at this place of business. read more

Great! My sister-in-law just got married here this past weekend here and we were all very pleased! The only thing (why I gave 4 stars instead of 5) I would complain about is that multiple weddings were happening at the same time. There was a point when we were trying to take photos during the cocktail hour, and had to be very quiet because the bride of the other wedding at that moment was walking down the aisle 100 feet away from us. We, of course, stayed quiet to be respectful, but I'm sure the guests of that wedding could see us and it may have been distracting. My FAVORITE part of the venue was the bridal suite! We (bridesmaids, moms, and bride) spent hours in the suite getting ready for the day and it was so comfortable and spacious. We really enjoyed the time we spent in there!
