so far i am in LOVE with colby falls and their staff. Liberty was incredible from the moment my fiancé, my two children, and myself walked into the venue! all of their pricing is EXTREMELY upfront, clear, and quite frankly incredible for all that is included. my fiancé and i knew exactly what we were walking into. but Liberty elevated that experience for us! she got to know us, our wedding and our vision. from that, she listened and created a perfect, customized package for us. it took off everything we didn't want or need, and gave us us much more to put into things we WANTED. i cannot express enough how happy we are with this staff, location, and pricing. the quality seems unmatched. we were able to tour the venue multiple times at our own leisure, and Liberty even gave my family space when asked so we could resolve a small issue with our children. she never made us feel unwanted or like we were imposing. she gave us her office without a second thought. thank you for that professionalism, it prompted us even more to sign with colby falls!! at this point, i cannot recommended it enough. i will continue to update my review as we work through this wonderful wedding time! thank you Liberty and staff!! read more

I was invited to a wedding here and it was beautiful! I love the waterfalls because it helps drown out the traffic noise since it sits right up against baseline. It is a large venue and could accommodate quite a large crowd. I thought it was weird after we did the ceremony that we had to walk out of the gates and down the side walk to get to the cocktail hour area. Since I was not getting married, I am not sure what is included in their packages, but the bartender was very nice and made great drinks. All of the staff I interacted with were very friendly. They have plenty of parking and the bathrooms are enormous. Definitely check this venue out if you are getting married or even just having an event! read more

My son got married at Colby Falls in Gilbert on 9/3. I own a production company so I provided all of the decor, and audio visual elements for the wedding. I would like to share the pros and cons of booking at this venue for any potential couples to consider. The venue let us basically take over the ball room area. I brought in a live band with full production including back-line, lights, and PA. I also brought in a LED Video wall, and a 8x16 foot hedge wall, which I broke into 3 sections for signage and a selfie station. They had no problem with us setting up this much production. I created all of the centerpieces for the tables in the main ballroom and the cocktail hour, and the backdrop for the alter and sweet heart table. I assume knowing that I myself was setting all of this up along with a team of people I hired was why I had very little help from the onsite event coordinators. They were kind to let us load in and begin set up the day before the Sunday wedding. They let us know at final payment, 10 days out, whether or not we could set up early. The official standard timeline given to us by the venue for set up was initially an hour & a half. This is not enough time at all if you have anything other than centerpieces. We were grateful for the extra time they gave us, but it was still a mad rush. Each time I needed anything from the venue I had to find the event coordinator. They were giving tours all day to potential couples while we were setting up for our wedding to begin that evening. All the tours stopped & asked me questions about the venue; this took up my time and it was kinda awkward having strangers wander through. I had a delivery come from the bakery. Before they arrived I needed all the stands for the dessert table to be sanitized. I was told by the event coordinator on site the banquet captain would be in, and she would clean and set up the dessert table. This did not happen. My friend I hired handled the entire dessert table when she couldn't find the banquet captain, & eventually got the EC to help her. If I didn't have my own person, I don't know what would have happened. All of the white chairs in the reception/main ballroom were dirty. My team went around with Clorox wipes before the reception and cleaned all the chairs. Thank goodness. The wood floor needed to be cleaned, but there was nothing I could do by the time I realized the onsite crew was not going to clean the floors. When I did my initial walk through I was told the tables were not finished, but nothing other than water glasses wer ever added to the place settings. I understand there were certain aspects the bride didn't order from the venue, but it was still never touched up, expect by my own crew. I was able to bring in beer to be served by the bartenders for the picky drinkers, since the open bar does not include any specialty beer. I gave very detailed instruction on this beer. I was trying to save myself the headache of my mother asking me where the "good beer" was. Instead I wanted to surprise her when she asked for it, that we got it for her. This did not happen, & the first thing I heard after I took the family photos and entered cocktail hour, was "where is the good beer?" from my mother. Fail. I was so sad. I advance every detail to avoid moments like this. This brings me back to the playlist for cocktail hour. My son was very particular on the playlist and spent months curating each song to be played in a specific order and emailed it to the DJ after his phone conversation. When the playlist was not being played one of the people I hired came to me and said the DJ said he was told "DJ's choice of 90's grunge." This was 100% not the case. I told my husband, who was trying to do a million other things, the DJ said he does not have our playlist, and by the time they were able to interface it was time for the grand entrance. Again, a failure on something that was completely advanced. Next, the lighting set in the main ballroom was way to bright. I asked over and over to get it turned down. The room was supposed to be moody. Every table had several flame-less candles. We also provided uplighting around the room. I could never get the lights overhead turned down which killed the mood I was trying to set. The main thing potential couples need to keep in mind is the Event Coordinator leaves at dinner service. She said the banquet captain would take over but I never met this person. The DJ flew through our timeline, & I even missed the cake cutting. As the mother of the groom this was a huge bummer obviously. Hire your own DJ, hire your own EC and hire a team or have friends/family help coordinate. Consider you are renting a clean slate & build from there. The one big thing the onsite EC did was line up the procession for the rehearsal & the ceremony. She was pleasant, but I had to hunt her down when I needed things. The food was good. The bathrooms were nice. Guest seemed to have a good time. read more

Having a wedding during COVID-19 had its own set of special challenges. Both Leah & Liberty made themselves available to us to help ease the load considering this unique time. There were many changes leading up to our wedding and also things that unfortunately didn't go as planned the day of. From beginning to end my family and I had such a great experience with Colby Falls. They had the answers to all our questions and made our wedding pretty much stress free. It's an all inclusive venue which was a deal maker for us! Their bridal/groomsmen suites were to die for and their food and bar services were exceptionable. Wedding day came and every thing was exactly as we envisioned. Some of our guests even went out of their way to tell us it was the best wedding they had been too. My church put together a formal dinner for our youth organization at the Colby Falls venue. Working with the staff to secure the venue and make sure we had all that we needed to have a successful event was provided. They worked with me to assure that what they offered fit within our budget. The place was setup and ready for us to go at the time. And all of our guests loved the venue. They loved the waterfalls and also how spacious the venue was allowing them room to get up and socialize. I highly recommend this venue for any events you have or any weddings. My husband and I got married here 4/1/23 and it was nothing short of perfect. From the first meeting to the very last minute, everything was taken care of for us. I felt hardly any stress as a bride during our engagement because of this venue. All of our guests had an amazing time, the DJ played music that made everyone want to dance, and the food was amazing. My husband and I look back at our day and can't think of anything that went wrong. It was truly a perfect day! Liberty and her team at Colby Falls are the best crew you could imagine when planning and executing your special day. Liberty was on top of everything from the first day we toured the venue to the day of and day after the event. Everything went exactly as planned. Liberty was always available via phone or email to answer any questions we had. She was very prompt and flexible adjusting things to make the day just as we envisioned. The decor was perfect! The food and drinks were amazing, and the day of staff were also perfect. All the guests raved about how awesome the bartender was for the wedding. The package price for what we got was incredible! I would host another event here in the future no questions asked! The flowers turned out perfect. We really enjoyed working with In Bloom floral. I would recommend using your own DJ even if doing one of the packages. This was the only thing I would change! His communication was terrible, and his attitude the day of the wedding was even worse. He failed to provide the music list as promised. He was incredibly difficult to get ahold of. He did not play our must have songs, and cut off our favorite one in the middle of it. He also left out the money dance, which we were incredibly bummed about. Do not use Gary Alan at Direct Sounds. I would give him zero stars. read more

Beautiful venue, top-notch staff! We just held our school's graduation ceremony there, and everyone thought it was lovely. Rizzli handled all our pre-event planning professionally and was always quick to respond to any questions. The staff on site today were helpful and eager to assist with whatever we needed. The one thing that has not pleased me and I find very frustrating is they only give you access to the bridal suite and location 2 hours early. We are going out of state for our wedding and neither us, nor most of our family, live in the state of the venue. So now I have to try and find out how and where we can all get ready, and do hair and makeup at since we are not able to do it at the venue. What is the point of having a bridal suite for an hour or two? If I cant be given the time to use it then take it off the menu and don' t charge me for it! This has been very frustrating in the planning process and has created quite an inconvenience. read more

I would NEVER and I do mean NEVER do business with Wedgewood weddings ever again. Anyone I know in the hosting,event and wedding planning industry will be discouraged to do business with you. I had my wedding at Colby Falls and making the arrangements with the staff wasn't easy. With all the money I was spending , they really weren't accommodating . The staff are a Bunch or Crook and Liar. They should be ashamed of themselves. Honestly I don't know how they can even sleet at night. I was told one thing I followed the instructions or the assigned planner. I was told it would be better pay for more guest than planned just in case and they would refund the money back for the guest that don't show up. After the wedding I returned to the location to speak with them about the refund only to be met with guy that worked in the office he was aggressive yelling and trying to literally muscle us off the property. He said there is no refund coming and refused to allow me to speak the planner. Well to start the venue is beautiful and it has great packages!! Our process was going great, we we're booked and in the planning of everything. We started to see how demanding they started with payments and not really understanding of situation that we're happening. The day of rehearsal is where it all started. They double booked two brides for rehearsal and blamed it on me. They stated I had it all wrong yet I had a print out stating that was my time slot. Anyways, they had the audacity to let the other bride go, mind you my wedding was the next day. I had requested to have them RSVP my front rows for family yet it wasn't so sadly i had friends sit there and my family sitting behind them. I asked for someone to remind the guest about their seating chart as their coming and nope neither got done. I had everyone sitting wherever they want. Liberty left right when dinner started which was not reminded to us about that. She left their team captain in charge yet he was mainly in the kitchen. We toasted with our water cups because no one brought out our toast cups. The team captain had no glue of the order after dinner. He didn't know where our sparklers we're, our exit time,etc. Oh and to say the least the venue was sooooo dirty and wasn't deep cleaned. It just looked like someone did a quick touch up and that's all. It was very disappointing and it effected our big day.
