Called Manny B 1.5 years ago, he showed up same day and seamed to know what he was doing. I thought we have landed on a reliable honest appliance repair man... But read on: So Manny replaced a drain pump for our LG washer. It worked. Paid him in full and he even gave us a Yelp "discount". A few days after, it started making noises .. I called him, he showed up and he said not to worry, the noise is normal. Then he even said he will extend the warranty to 12 months. Covid started. We lived with it until it failed after 1.5 years. Called him he didn't answer. I texted him, he pretended not to know about it. Then he remembered after I sent him screenshots of our txt exchange. Then he ghosted me. I txt him again. Now he wants $375 (again) to replace the same part that originally lasted 10 years. $89 for diagnostic. The part he provided lasted 1.5 years... So in 1.5 years I would have paid him for a brand new washer. Long story short: If you want disposable parts (I am guessing either after market or used) go ahead and call Manny B. Otherwise stay away. Also not to mention the part from his truck is $125 while it is $40 from the LG Store on Amazon - not after market not Chinese as he said. Go figure. UPDATE: After I posted this review, he replied below, 2 days later, didn't even try to call or txt me back. My 6 year old LG refrigerator just stopped working from one day to the next. No warning. No weird noise. Nothing. I started looking for a repair tech to come look, assuming it was no longer under warranty. I knew I was NOT Calling Aloha Appliance, as I had a bad experience with them two weeks ago for another refrigerator. When I called Manny, he sent me to VM but promised to call me when he finished. Once again, Yelp has led me to a top-notch business! When my oven wouldn't heat up, I searched for an appliance repair service with good reviews. Even though it was after 9pm, Manny replied to my request for a quote thru Yelp within a half an hour! Two calendar days later (less than 48 hours after my initial contact), and Manny was in my kitchen. Before he arrived, his communication was warm, professional, and detailed. When he arrived, he had a big smile and a very organized-looking, rolling tool kit. He diagnosed the problem right away, and gave me a fair quote. Manny fixed my oven, and did maintenance on my fridge, dishwasher, and wall a/c and portable a/c units. He gave me some important tips on how to keep the a/c units cooling optimally, and the best products to use in the dishwasher. He was friendly. He was professional. And he was SO NEAT - his bag of tricks included a little shop vac that he used to clean up every piece of lint that came off the fridge coils, & anything he may have dislodged during the oven repair. Haha, he even fished something out from under my fridge that I hadn't seen in a long time! Since Manny handles all appliances - fridges, freezers, dishwashers, a/c units, washers, dryers, ovens, ranges, & even microwaves, it gives me peace of mind to be able to have his contact in my phone. called them technician came diagnosed the issue said we we need to order the part took extra deposit . had to CAA all daily to get part delivery status. finally got confirmation we have the parts. they sent their technician to replace the parts. two technicians came definitively didn't know how to check tea t the new part. after spending 15/20 minutes finally called the main technician and now funny part after half an hr of trying to replace the part they said something else it compressors might be an issue. I can write two pages but think is enough for anyone who need refrigerators repair service. if don't want waste time and money then learn from other. read more

To be honest, I was a bit skeptical when I first contacted Manny but I decided to go with the gut instinct based on all the reviews written on Manny. It's really frustrating when water leaks from your washer and you have to think for yourself whether it might be time for a new washer or whether to get your used washer fixed especially if it puts a hold on washing clothes for one to two weeks. Manny is honest. He tells you straightforwardly what he things you should do. I couldn't put back the washer together myself and within 1/2 an hour Manny does it and tests out the whole machine to get it working as it once had been. I recommend anyone that needs repair with either a washer or dryer to contact Manny without hesitation. Six stars, if it were possible! I was totally stuck, with water leaking out of our fridge at 4:30pm the night before we were leaving town for the holidays. Called numerous people and no one had availability until January. Got a hold of Manny and his last call of the day happened to be relatively nearby, so he said he would stop by. He was here for an hour and a half, took $50 off his list price because he had an online coupon (which he didn't have to do) and THEN took another $50 off after the work was completed because he said it wasn't as difficult as he thought it was going to be (which he REALLY didn't have to do). I would have had to pay him whatever he charged, and he was kind, responsive, honest, and gave me a deal! He finished up just in time for me to make it to my kids' singing performance at school, and we were able to leave on time the next morning. Can't recommend Manny highly enough! read more

I called him after a painful ordeal with our home warranty company (First American) who sent a dud from Ukon Appliance to look at our washing machine. Our kids had coins and other items (bobby pins, ...) that got caught in the pump. The useless guy from Ukon broke to pump prying it open (cracked the screw cap), then told the warranty company the pump was broken "Because of a lot of coins and sharp objects". Manny was able to find the problem right away, and was actually able to seal the crack and get the machine running again. I should have written this months ago but procrastination allows me to now comment on the durability of Manny's work. I have an old kenmore stackable washer/dryer that has about 3.1 cu ft washer space. The washer started making this incredible screeching noise of pain. The drum felt off. This thing is 18 years old. It's not made anymore. You either get bigger (too big for my space) or smaller (who wants smaller). I really wanted to keep it. I called SuperTech based on Yelp reviews. Manny accommodated my schedule and visited in the evening. He is bright, sociable and seemed to really know his stuff. He understood my dilemma. He said he could fix it but would cost $1700. New drum, attachments, labor and other issues he explained that I understood at the time. He also said a new smaller stackable could be had for not much more. I keep stuff forever as long as it works. I had him fix it. Not sure why but i trusted him to work unattended as i have few friends and even fewer family to be at my place with him. MY WASHER WORKS LIKE NEW! It's been months since the repair. I have no idea why Manny is not the CEO of a big repair company. I have never found anyone this bright, competent and trustworthy to fix my stuff. I cannot recommend him highly enough. (No he is not family, friend or a source of kickbacks).
