In the right seasons and weather you should be able to get some great photos. - Seems to work with catering companies pretty well. - Adequate space for all but the largest weddings. The barn will have great space and the outside deck was had a good area also. - Despite being in the seemingly middle of nowhere the GPS was incredibly good at finding this place. - Golf carts were available for elderly and persons with disabilities. Cons: - Definitely more geared towards outdoor weddings. Rain, cold, or bugs could be significant issues if luck isn't on your side. - Restrooms aren't directly connected to the reception barn. This is a nit pick. - Might want to consider hiring an audio guy for sound purposes for your ceremony. If the wind if ripping, you won't hear a thing. - Might be a bit of a walk for some, but the golf cart service may negate that. Bottom Line: - If I wanted a country outdoor wedding, this place would do nicely.

We're used to 3-4 star hotels and this place is right on par with them without being a big chain. It's very clean from the lobby to the rooms, the beds were comfortable, the staff extremely friendly. They even offer a small, limited pastry breakfast but the pastries are fresh and they tell you ahead of time that it is a limited and small continental breakfast. If you are doing something in any of the nearby towns and don't want to pay the price of the big hotel chains, then this place is for you! We will definitely be staying here again in the future.

Everyone had the best time and this venue is perfect for all different types of weddings. Amanda is the best coordinator a bride could get. Julian and his Mixology skills were top-tier. It's unique and flavorful and we got so many compliments on how good everything tasted. There is a rule about no outside food or drink, but it's really not that hard to follow because everything they provide is way better than anything you could sneak in. And if you let them know about bringing certain things in advance, they are very relaxed about it. This rule is standard for any business to liability reasons and you just gotta role with it. It's not that hard, just be sure to remind your guests and family before hand. This family has your back and will help you make your wedding the best day possible. They know what they're doing. Johan is so nice and helpful and you can tell he truly cares about your wedding going the way you want. Any negative reviews about him are most likely embellished and honestly rude. A modernized facility featuring local artists. A wonderful performance venue that comfortably holds a few hundred people. The stage has a well designed arch and the acoustics in the room are perfect for band performances. I only have one visit under my belt for a bluegrass band night. There were different ticket prices with general admission being the least expensive. I would encourage you to go this route if attending a show. This is a standing ticket. You're seeing a band so you're going to be moving about anyway, right? If you do pay more for a seat/table ticket, just be aware those with general admission tickets will be standing between the stage and your seat. The Thelma is open to wedding receptions & private events. This would be a great venue to be host to that type of celebration and there are many spots within the facility to capture great photos to memorialize your event. One of my friends encouraged me to check out Thelma and I'm glad I took the time to explore this venue. I will definitely be back.
