We got married at The Ivy House on April 16, 2022. If choosing a DJ for the wedding, it is required that you choose Milwaukee Airwaves. As they are one of the most known DJ services in the area, this is the company we would choose anyway. We met our DJ, Brady, virtually before the event. He was (and is) super chill and seems to truly enjoy his profession. We made a playlist and a list of "must hear" songs, which he used to do his thing. Brady was very attentive to us - bride & groom - when we requested songs as we were all having fun on the dance floor. There were small things we noticed throughout the event that left us a little disappointed. The PA microphone was a little soft so guests had a difficult time hearing announcements. Also we had made a special cut of our first dance song that seemed to get lost in the mix. Other than those details, everything was amazing! We also got a photo booth and it was loved by everyone! Milwaukee Airwaves DJ services were a HUGE HIT for our Wedding Reception!! Special shout out to the most amazing DJ, Nick Brenning who BROUGHT THE PARTY! Our dance floor was packed the entire evening and guests continuously comment on how awesome the music selections were! We provided Nick a list of must plays and do not plays, and he followed it perfectly! He had a fantastic ability to take our 'must play' list and play the songs at the perfect time and in an order that kept the energy up all night! I can't say enough good things about Nick and his execution. Good music was one of the most important things to my husband and I, and Milwaukee Airwaves exceeded our expectations! Throughout the planning process, Milwaukee Airwaves was responsive, helpful, and answered all questions! We also utilized their photobooth services which was a crowd pleaser! The photo book that was provided is one of our most cherished items from the wedding. A clause in their contract says they can cancel up to the day of the event. We put an addendum to take that out and they refused to work with us. Not just that but they took over a month to respond to us regarding that without any communication. Given that its unbelievably hard to find vendors during wedding planning right now (due to the post Covid surge in weddings) I cannot believe how unprofessional that was. I've been to a wedding where they DJ'd and had a blast and was excited to have them but I'm not about to risk having them cancel the day of leaving me to have a cousin use his Spotify playlist on a speaker. Milwaukee Airwaves met and exceeded my expectations for a DJ! Ramsey was attentative, flexible, and completely on top of things. He provided the music for both our ceremony and reception. I took too long walking down the bridge/aisle, and without skipping a beat, he looped the song. No one ever knew that anything had happened. We found Milwaukee Airwaves on google and felt 'connected' when we browsed their site. We didn't get the feeling that Milwaukee Airwaves was a 'typical' wedding DJ company. Look at their pictures, they look like they're having a great time! After we met with Ramsey at Colectivo, we were sold on using Milwaukee Airwaves. We could tell by his personality that he wasn't going to chicken dance us to death, or limbo us to the floor, but that Milwaukee Airwaves was going to pay attention to what we wanted and what would work for our guests. Seriously, we walked out the door singing all the "yes" that we could possibly sing. We used Milwaukee Airwaves for our ceremony and our reception. The entire planning process was seamless from when Ramsey matched us with our DJ (DJ Steve) to our FaceTime with Steve to go over any special requests or the day of, to walking out the door at the end of the night. They were set-up on time for our ceremony and reception, lit the room up beautifully, and totally felt the vibe of the night. What was awesome was that Steve and his assistant did not try to star in our wedding and Steve kept checking on us throughout the night to ask us if we were okay or if we needed anything, heck, he even brought us a pack of gum to chew after dinner. What a guy! Honestly, our day was as perfect as we could have hoped it would be, and our guests had a blast. While trying to decide who to choose for a DJ company for our wedding, we met with a couple of local companies. We ultimately decided to hire Milwaukee Airwaves for our wedding and couldn't be happier with our final choice. From the beginning, Alex was pleasant to talk to and quick to respond to emails. He was able to work with all of our requests and make sure that we had everything set up before we were assigned a DJ. When we met with our DJ, Aaron, we knew we made the right choice. Aaron (and his assistant!) was SUCH a pleasure to work with and we couldn't have asked for someone who was friendlier, more willing to deal with our crazy prank-pulling families, and was able to entertain a crowd of 150 aged 9-90. He accommodated all of our requests, but made sure that the crowd still had a great time. He was so professional at coordinating speeches and making sure that the night went as smooth as possible. We got so many compliments on our music choices and people of all ages were telling us what an amazing selection of music we had and how great our DJ was. I can't say enough good things about Milwaukee Airwaves. They did the music for our wedding reception and did everything we asked. Any song my husband or I asked for was instantly played. The online profile you can set up was easy and they followed ours perfectly. They kept if fun, informal, and laid back which was EXACTLY what we wanted. They listened to everything we said.They were professional and Joe and Joe- the DJs at our event were clearly having fun doing their job. Earlier in the day we had a little disaster with the equipment we were going to use for our power point that we really wanted to show. At short notice, Milwaukee Airwaves was able to bring in their projector, get it all set up, and it was much higher quality than what we had. That saved the day. I would recommend them to anyone. Ramsey was an amazing DJ! The entire process, from start to finish, was absolutely seamless. He was responsive and genuine and a pleasure to work with.
