They purchase used parts on eBay, use those parts to repair customer's tv's and computers and then send the bad parts back to reputable suppliers stating that the part they originally purchased from them are/is defective and demand a refund. When I go to see the tv it has black marks that are worse than the original. I'm not sure what he did; and then he tried charging full price and did not disclose he did not fully fix. I have never posted a negative review for a small business, however the scam that this business is running needs to be documented. I contacted this company on 5/10/22 for a Samsung 75" TV repair. The owner, Wee, was very responsive and came to our house same day to pickup the TV to take to his shop for diagnosis. I agreed to pay the $99 fee for that, which was the risk I was willing to take on the TV, but it's less than three years old. It took a week for the diagnosis, at which time I was given a quote for the repair part, which I was told was a processor. I was told it would take approximately one week for the part, and then a week to get the TV back from that point. I was told that once the TV was repaired, I would receive a video of it working, at which time payment for repair would be due and TV would be delivered, or we could pickup. On 5/31/22, I call Wee and was told it was almost done and the TV would be ready by 6/3. Today is 6/16/22, and Wee does not return any phone calls, voicemails, texts, or secure messages through the system they used to communicate at the time of service. This is absolutely a scam and it would seem that our TV is now gone. I have been calling every day 4-5 times per day, and half the time I get a voice mail, the other half it says the user has not even setup a voice mailbox. I am disgusted and felt it necessary to let the public know to NOT trust this "business" with your electronics, and certainly not allow them to your home. I feel it silly to take legal action for a TV, but at this point I just want my broken TV back so I can do with it what I wish, not so I'll just give up and give them the benefit of selling parts or repairing and selling to someone else. read more

I can't imagine that my husband was SO patient to let this company have our TV for 6 plus weeks and we got it back - broken - repair not done and they had the nerve to charge us 40% of the money we paid. After waiting a week for their diagnostic results i had to contact them to find out what was wrong and the price for repair. I was told this problem is this, and 3 prices for each, no warranty, 30 days warranty or 60 day warranty. I let them know which i picked. Avoid this place. They will seem so nice (Wee in particular), but they are extremely shady. I brought my TV in and was told I'd have an update within the week. I got a text from Wee with my options, and chose to go with the new parts to repair it so that I would have a longer warranty. He assured me that he could certainly fix it and that it would be cheaper than buying a new TV. More than a month goes by and I HAD TO CALL HIM to see if my TV was ready (he does not meet the timeframe expectations he sets). It wasn't ready yet, so I had to continue waiting. I call almost another month later and he tells me it's ready and he'd be there until 7 that day, so I get there at about 5:45 or so and he's gone and the door is locked with a sign saying he had to leave early. Annoyed, I send a text to confirm his hours for the next day so I could pick it up. I finally get my TV home and notice that it wouldn't stay on for long periods (it would just randomly turn off while in use). So again, I haul it back to SUREFIX to only find out a week or two later that it can't be fixed. Wee then had the nerve to offer me a newer TV that was already repaired for another $250 (I had already given him about $200 to fix mine after he assured me it was an easy and economical fix). At this point I had zero confidence in his work, and certainly wouldn't pay that much for another TV that he claims HE repaired. I demanded a refund and never heard from him again. THEY WILL SCAM YOU! Took in my tv to get it looked at and fixed. When I called they said they would give a FREE diagnostics. Which is why we went there to begin with. Turns out it's $50 to get it diagnosed. We still went ahead and payed and left our TV with them. After 5 days they finally told us the problem. Just as a heads up they won't tell you the actual problem, instead they tell you special coding that they use to not disclose the actual issue so if you try and google it nothing will come up to see what the actual cost for the part is. For example these are their own words for my tv diagnostics "we found out that it needs the proprietary CVM repair kit". When I asked what that was they gave me the run around and never actual told me what it was. When they said they would order the part I asked for a link or picture of the part so I knew what was being done and they said they couldn't disclose that information! It's like taking your car to a shop, them telling you you need a new part, but not telling you what the part is! Illogical right? They said for the part would cost me "$299". Before saying sure I googled what "CVM repair kit" and nothing would come up. I then came across the website shopjimmy.com and chatted with one of their techs and he explained to me the possible issues that could be wrong with my tv and to start with a power supply swap which was $50! When I sent them a text asking them if that was the part they told me "No" but if I wanted that part switched out they could do it. Why recommended swapping out a part of nothing is wrong? Anyways, I purchased it through the shopjimmy.com swapped out the part. Which was super easy! All I had to do was unscrew the part and that was all. A 10 year old could have done it. After switching it out my TV came back on! They tried to charge me $300 for a $50 part! They couldn't tell me all I needed was a new power supply instead they tried to convince it was some other kit that was going to 6X MORE THAN THE ACTUAL COST. Having a problem with my LG TV where it would power off by itself. 3/6/21, I took my TV to them and he plugged it up and turned it on with the remote when I was there in the shop to see if it would cut off..He informed me that he would have to keep the TV to do more analysis and that I would have to pay a $39.99 fee which I did and left the tv there. 3/8/21, I received a text with 3 options for repair.. I selected the option for $169, ($181 w/tax included) for the microprocessor fix kit that I was told needed fixed by text.. since this business has ZERO follow-up with customers, I had to keep calling them to get a status on my TV.. I was told it was in test when I called on 3/26.. I called again on 3/27 and was told the same thing.. I informed them that I would just come pick up the TV since they've had it for 3 weeks..I get there in the next 30 min and the owner starts giving me all kinds of excuses when I get there. He showed me a replacement part which look to be a circuit board with a bunch of components on it. He kept changing his story repeatedly When I kept questioning him. He said that my panel(s) need to be replaced When I was told that my microprocessor kit was the problem as a result of the diagnosis. The only new part that he showed me was the circuit board that he had sitting next to my old one which I can only assume was even the problem..He powers on the TV and there's absolutely no picture whatsoever. My tv had picture the day I dropped it off which he verified while I was there. The TV should be returned to me in the same condition as when I originally dropped it off since I decided not proceed further doing business with them since they had my TV for 3 weeks and was given the runaround. I also asked him for my remote and power cord that we're both with the tv when I dropped it off and he proceeds to play off my intelligence by telling me that he doesn't have it because he doesn't accept/keep those items..as a solution, he even had the nerve to try to sell me a different used LG TV (unethical). After arguing back and forth for 10-15 minutes he put the panel on the TV and released it to me.. He gave me a power cord but not my power cord and kept my remote.. I assume he keeps these items to put with the used TVs that he sells.. I get home and plug the TV in and it doesn't work and has no picture whatsoever. My TV had picture and was powering on just fine when I dropped it off. They didn't fix anything. This business is highly incompetent/clueless and extremely shady and should be shut down as they are scam artists who are stealing money from people. read more

I had my 47" 3D LG repaired by Wee. The tv lasted a month and went out again, I had to bring it back to the shop. Then I am told that it's another part that needs fixed. So I pay ahead. A month goes by and I call the shop to check the status of the repair. Wee says the tv is unfixable and that I better come pick it up soon or else it will be recycled. Wee never bothered to communicate any of this prior to my call. I was refunded $45 for my pre-pay repair, however am out $235 for the original "repair". When you have a complain the boss or owner of the place will just forward your calls and ignore you anytime you try to call in to report something because I was seeking some type of reimbursement for not only taking way longer than quoted but also giving me back my TV WITHOUT the bottom screws that hold it in place and my screen slide of the base and almost completely broke. I had to run back to the store just for them to put everything back together and the employee had the audacity to blame me for rushing the job when I was already more than patient enough and waited for weeks. On top of paying $280 I would have much rather pay an actual professional establishment to get the job done and also do it within the quoted time. I needed to get my iphone screen replaced and decided to come to Sure Fix based on the convenience and google reviews (almost 5 stars). The pricing was a little less than the big name stores and they promised to have it fixed within an hour. I paid over $200, but was told there was a 1-year warranty on the screen. The next day, the phone screen starts blacking out, so I returned to Sure Fix, assuming it was an install error or maybe from being used all day it had detached?? (keep in mind - I'm not a tech repair person) Sure Fix took my phone, told me to come back in an hour, and when I returned they let me know they won't be fixing it. They can see a crack on the inside of the screen... the phone isn't cracked, the screen looks like it is in perfect condition, whatever cracking is going on on the inside of the phone has to be either from a poor install or from a low quality product. Regardless, they won't fix the screen because the owner would not be able to get his money back from the supplier, so unless I am willing to pay for the new screen, I'm out of luck. He did offer 50% off of getting it replaced again... so I could spend another $100 for a phone that could be broken tomorrow.
