I attended the Sure Grip Arms Initial CCW 16-hour Certification course this weekend and was impressed with the organized curriculum, learning materials, and overall experience. The other attendees had varying levels of skill and shooting experience, but the setting was not intimidating and gave me the opportunity to interact with students obtaining their initial CCW along with those who have renewed multiple times. Theo did a fantastic job presenting the information and made both the classroom and range of qualification portions of the course enjoyable. The real-world scenarios, training videos, USCCA textbook, and in-class learning aids were all top-tier. I also appreciated the small class size and the detailed review of each topic to ensure clear understanding of each student. The classroom and range facility were both comfortable and non-intimidating. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! I just completed the RSO "Range Safety Officer Certification Class" with Theo yesterday April 5th, 2025. I've been through 10 or so Firearms Classes of different capacity over the years with 8 or so different Instructors. This class BY FAR was one of the BEST Experiences I've had. It was a good mixture of serious business and FUN wrapped into 1 day. Theo really got you thinking. Theo was very personable and effective with my classmates and i despite the vast different personalities he had to work with. There was "Hands On" & Real Life" situation type of exercises that we all had to participate in. Exceptional Instruction and Real-World Training! I cannot recommend Theo highly enough. We ran my qualification session first thing in the morning while it was still cooler out, which made for a great training environment. I give 5 stars to Theo, I had to redo my CCW . Theo is a great instructor. He took time to explain all the ramifications of owning a firearm. The course was highly educational, interesting, and interactive. The instructional day was highly beneficial. Day two was qualifying with your firearm. I want to give high praises to Theo and his staff for working with me. Because I had some physical limitations, Theo worked with me and provided support to help me get through my qualifications. Theo puts together a great class with tons of extra information as well as role playing real life scenarios in class. The class is very well thought out and planned. He takes his time and makes sure everyone understands the lesson and breaks the lessons down in multiple different ways to ensure everyone understands. On the range he is extremely observant and gives great critiques to each individual on their poor shooting habits and pointers on how to correct them. He took his time to work with each individual and their own needs. I recently attended training with Theo. The course was absolutely some of the best training I've attended. The instructor took what could have been a boring class and turned it into a dynamic roller coaster ride of simulations and hands-on exercises on the subject at hand - making a long day of training go by fast!
