Fabulous therapists, clean equipment, and appointments are surprisingly plentiful. My son also had PT for when his clavicle was broken in his gym class :( They got him whole again and more confident in his arm/shoulder use.

They leave him in bed all day. Tonight i came to visit at 5:30pm and he hadn't eaten. At 6pm I asked where his dinner was and was told they "forgot". They said they would order him a tray soon. Here it is 6:16 and he still hasn't eaten. The care here is below standard. Every time I visit the nurses are outside smoking. There is no security as well. I don't know what kind of haphazard facility is run here, but my father is not receiving the care we told he would. I'm very dissatisfied. 6:20pm and they just now asked what kind of sandwich he wants? That doesn't sound like a well rounded dinner.

Not knowing better, she was admitted into Hospice care which basically meant to Crestwood Manor that they did not have to care for her. When we were first told about her transfer My father was assured he could visit every day. Later, we were told it was 2 visitors once a week but the same person could not visit. The Hospice team consisted of a nurse & chaplain. Both were lovely people but I would never agree to Hospice again. I instructed Crestwood that she was not to have any medications I did not approve. They assured me but later found out she was kept on a certain drug so she didn't complain when they changed her---as the staff told me. I obtained all her medical records later & found she was given the drug I instructed them not to give her. This probably led to her death.Hospice did not give her any medications. Crestwood cut off our visits, they had a COVID issue from a staff member which they assured was controlled. They told us my Mom was safe, no worries. Two days later they called me around noon to say my mother stopped breathing. Suddenly she developed non-symptomatic COVID & died. Who was with her? No one- they just walked in & found her not breathing. The nurse that called was ice cold and spoke like she was giving me a weather report. I was in shock- this was supposed to be a highly-rated care facility. Several of the employees spoke to me about her care & basically said she was in a bed alone unless Hospice came by. Within two hours they called again to see when I would have "the body" removed. I was told they did not have room to keep her. I did not even have time to call family members, or console my Dad & when this arrogant nurse called. I filed a complaint against this facility not only for their lack of care but also for the way they treated me. I was told to pick up her belongings---I questioned about the risk of COVID for me. I was assured everything would be cleaned before releasing however, they tossed her things in the front seat of my car- nothing was cleaned, and picture frames broke. Please avoid sending your loved one to this facility for any rehab or aftercare.

My first impression started in the Admissions office with the Admissions Director Cathy who showed compassion and kindness as I struggled with many difficult decisions. She offered great advice and shared her knowledge with me and my family. Her assistant Saundra is just as kind. The Concierge Dee and Head of Physical Therapy Lou welcomed us and made sure my mom was comfortable and felt at home and that continued throughout my mom's stay. The nursing staff are seasoned professionals who really care and make a difference. Paula, Libya, Patricia and Kristin were all amazing. Freda the director of nursing was always available. They all listened and made changes when needed and went above and beyond. The CNA's were gentle and were genuinely caring as they helped my mother to bathe and dress. Raquel, Ronald and Mandy were standouts. Everyone is just so incredibly friendly that I didn't really notice the few things that were wrong like older furniture in the rooms and limited TV channels. Her private room was spacious with a flat screen TV and attached bathroom and lovely window with a view of the garden. My mom loved getting fresh air in the garden every evening before bed. The Physical Therapy team evaluated my mom and determined were she needed help and got to work. They made significant progress where other facilities did not. Amanda the Social worker met with us twice to discuss in depth my mother's treatment plan. The Activities Director spent much time asking all of mom's preferences and offering ways to make the most of her stay.

The "cuisine" they describe is coming from the lowest bidder and apparently the kitchen staff is not given what it takes to prepare most of the dished they aspire to, like it's supposed to be turkey and gravy, yet I swear there was not even the slightest hint of turkey, maybe tofu trying to be turkey. It actually cut in straight lines and cubed. Should hot dogs, bacon or sausage be deep fried? 70% of the time I am actually dumbfounded. Should you like a cup of what they call coffee, I promise not one staff member will rush to go to the kitchen on the first floor from the 3rd floor. That also answers the question, why can't our meals arrive warm enough to melt the butter substitute? From the coffee (or water for tea) and the rest of breakfast, all the way to supper, cool is the temperature of the center. After a month and a half it weighs on you because you gotta eat what you get. Now the big one. It may not seem like much but to us that need hydration and do not have access to cold beverages,(tap water is what we got) it's close to torture. The ice machine on my floor, 3rd floor, died a month ago. After a week someone took the initiative to fill a container from the 2nd floor machine for us. Even then and now, getting a staff member to get ice is rough and I understand. The aides are busy enough backing up the nurses with giving personal care. Most understand that wanting ice isn't something to be viewed as trivial NOW, the 2nd floor machine went down. Now they get to join us for the fun. The head nurse for our floor is trying but this one lies another level up, where the bottom line is what matters. No doubt I'll have more to add.

My father was in there during the pandemic after heart replacement surgery. We actually pulled him out of a very nice looking facility in Galloway that basically ignored him for two weeks. Where that place left him to rot in bed unsupervised, the staff at Meadow View had him out of bed and walking around in no time. I would have given 5 stars, but the place is in desperate need of a refresh, the 4 they earned was strictly because of their caring staff.

He can only get three channels on the TV due to the weak connection, and the signal on our phones is even worse. My husband was bored because of this. When a patient is sick, away from and spends most of his day in his room, entertainment is a necessary distraction.The building is wired for the 20th century and not the 21st century.
