    Our Rosie girl.

Our dog, Rosie, just got her 8 week checkup with X-rays and she looks great. We started our journey 3 months ago when she was diagnosed with a ccl tear. We were quoted an outrageous amount so we did some research. We found Surgipet and although it was 2 hours away we thought we made an appointment. Wow, we have been so impressed. They did the surgery the day of our consult and supported us throughout the process. As a nervous mom, they answered my calls and messages at all hours and reassured me she was okay. I would 100% recommend Surgipet if your dog needs this surgery or any treatment. Thank you Surgipet for getting our girl back to health.

    Quinn after surgery

My dog Quinn just had elbow dysplasia surgery at Surgipet. The Surgeons and staff are amazing . They made me feel so welcome and took such great care of my dog. I got to take her home the same day and care for her myself . She is recuperating nicely. They had the best price of anyone that was local to me. I chose to wait for her since I had an 1.5 hour drive and the location is within walking distance to Carlsbad Village and the Ocean and it was a beautiful day to walk around. 3 days after the surgery I was preparing to submit my claim to my pet insurance company and they had already done that for me. Excellent Customer and Patient service. I would give them 10 stars but you only allow 5. Surgipet make a stressful situation very easy and pleasant for me and my girl.

This place is great! Came here twice for a mass removal (mastectomy) and both times the experience from start to finish was wonderful. Staff was friendly and caring, Dr. Wyatt did a great job both times. Surgery is what they do and they do an excellent job of it! Hopefully no more surgeries for my little Penny, but will definitely recommend to anyone who needs a great pet surgeon.

Thank you Dr Jaroslaw and the all medical team for Highest level of care. We are so grateful.

I am so grateful to have found this one-of-a-kind pet surgery hospital for my beloved dog, Bubba. From my personal experience living in NY, LA and other places, The level of care provided here is unparalleled. I have complete trust in Dr. Jaroslaw, who is an expert in his field. Not only is he and his team highly knowledgeable, but they also go above and beyond in providing all the information and support needed during this stressful time. I couldn't ask for a better place for my pet's surgery. Thank you for the Exceptional level of care. Bubba and me are truly grateful!

Such a great place! My cat got injured and he was limping. I brought him back here and they checked him out and I really trust the dr here. It's hard to find a good vet. I wish dr Wypart could be our regular vet. But I'm pretty sure he only deals with injuries and surgery's. However any issues related to this I will always come here and always recommend. I don't understand the reviews complaining about the price. It's actually very reasonable for the quality of care.

Thank you Team Surgipet! I took my 1 year old cat to Surgipet and the Drs. Wypart after he had a serious injury to his left hind leg. The entire team took such good care of Timmy and I am so impressed at the level of dedication. After a long consultation and going through all my options, the best choice for Timmy was to amputate his leg. I am so grateful for all the patience the team gave me. Seriously, everyone went above and beyond. I was so relieved to have found a surgery center with so many other cat-people to take care of my baby! Surgery went great and Surgipet checked up on Timmy throughout the healing process. He is now a happy, healthy, pain-free, energetic cat and plays just as hard as his sister.

Fair warning, this may be a slightly long review, so the short version is that Dr. Jaroslaw R. Wypart, Dr. Margaret E. Wypart, and the SURGiPET staff work miracles and are literally the best at pet surgery and advanced anesthesiology. My poor chocolate lab, Coco, suffered CrCL tendon ruptures in both her hind legs resulting from CrCLD. We misdiagnosed the initial tear a couple years back as hip dysplasia but after she tore the other CrCL a couple months ago and after x-rays under sedation from our regular vet, Dr. Cooper, we soon realized what had happened. Dr. Cooper is amazing, and I trust her with my life, so when she referred us to SURGiPET to have a much-needed TPLO surgery, I knew it was an absolute necessity. Coco and I are mountaineers, she loves swimming in the ocean, playing catch, and is an extremely athletic and active dog so my vet decided that TPLO was the right choice and that we were going to treat her as one would any bipedal athlete, assuring me that most dogs make a full recovery after this procedure and that she'd be right back to living her best life once again after 3-4 months of recovery. It's rare to do bilateral TPLO for large breed dogs like Coco who is a muscular and lean 75 lbs. but given the circumstances Dr. Wypart agreed to performing the surgery on both knees at once. I was beyond heartbroken knowing she was in so much pain and seeing her unable to support weight on her hind legs. Coco is a very stoic dog and I'd never seen in her in any kind of pain prior to this and she turned 6 literally 1 day prior to surgery. To add insult to injury we had no pet insurance, and this is not a cheap procedure. Coco is all the family I have left so no cost was too much but I'm not a wealthy person by any means. SURGiPET provided an extremely fair price to have the procedure performed in comparison to other options I'd priced out and Dr. Margaret E. Wypart is one of the few board-certified veterinary anesthesiologists in Southern California. Folks I met in the waiting room came from as far as Arizona and the Bay Area to have their pets treated here just for that reason alone, but this coupled with how amazing an orthopedic surgeon Dr. Jaroslaw R. Wypart is, SURGiPET is quite frankly the best option for anyone having to go through this or any type of surgery for their fur baby. During the initial consult, Dr. Wypart was very patient and caring, explaining to me what our options were and providing me much needed reassurance that we were in good hands. The fact that he and his wife were also mountaineers and had been to some of our favorite places was the proverbial icing on the cake! The procedure went without a hitch and the team (Shirley,Claudia, Amber, Gloria, Kyle, and the others) went above and beyond in providing us with wonderful post-op instructions and made sure I knew everything needed to ensure that Coco would recover 100%. I'd get calls daily from the team to check in and anytime I called, they were able to answer all questions and showed extreme compassion. This was one of the hardest things I had to go through, and they were, patiently, there every step of the way. 2 weeks after the procedure we returned to have the staples removed and they were all shocked by how well Coco was recovering and they said that the outcome was miraculous. After that initial 2 weeks, with their tutelage and with the aid of the K9 Recovery App, we began the road to recovery. This consisted of a very regimental approach for taking the right meds and PT that I made sure to follow, keeping detailed daily notes and prioritizing Coco over everything else in life. Fast forward to today, 52 days after the surgery, and Coco is doing spectacular. We're walking about 4 miles a day, she's healing exponentially faster than expected, and we go back in on Saturday for her follow-up x-rays to ensure that the surgery was successful. I'm very confident that it was. All of this is thanks to the wonderful loving care that the SURGiPET team has provided for both Coco and me. At the end of the day, it's truly a team effort and I've simply done my part as part of that team dedicated to Coco's recovery. We have a couple trips booked this summer to venture up to 11K feet in the Eastern Sierras and I'm cautiously optimistic that we'll be able to take full advantage of those wilderness permits. Worst case scenario, we'll be glamping it, in style, in a cabin or tent camping out of the truck until she makes a full recovery. These things take time and what's one more season if it means my beautiful girl will no longer be in pain and able to live the rest of her days with fully functioning legs. A sincere thank you once again to both Dr. Wyparts, Amber, Shirley, Claudia, Gloria, Kyle and the rest of the team. If you've read this far, then make sure to go the extra mile for your pet and choose SURGiPET if you're ever in need; your pet will thank you!

5 months ago, PJ went through his TPLO procedure. Today, we went for his final checkup and confirmed he's doing great. A few months ago, my dog was already walking with no pain. The healing was fast. We are very grateful for finding them. Definitely the best doctor and staff members. We got 100% care from Surgipet. Our surgeon is very genuine and true to his words. My Doberman knew it; the first time he saw Dr. Wypart, PJ leaned on his leg. He's like telling Dr. Wypart that he needs his help, and he knew he could make his boo-boo go away. Dogs are very intuitive; he sensed that Dr. Wypart cared. I was relieved when I saw that, and on that point I was sure PJ was in good hands. I highly suggest you see them instead going elsewhere. I guarantee you'll be very pleased with them.

    3 days after first surgery.

I can't say enough great things about this place. My pup just had his second TPLO surgery here and I feel so lucky to have found this practice. After my first call I knew I found the right place. The entire staff is great - they are incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. Dr. Wypart is a prince. Kseniya went out of her way to get us in asap for the second procedure after a sudden injury. Claudia and Amber were my angels during the first recovery when I needed advice and reassurance. The care is extraordinary. I make drive down from LA. It's worth the traffic.

The communication style also felt unprofessional to me, which made an already frustrating experience even more difficult. Overall, I walked away feeling ripped off, and I won't be returning.

Our cat of 17 years was not doing well. Our regular vet could not see her, so they recommended to…read moretake her to an urgent care. Found Mohnacky Animal Hospital online. Called them at 3PM, and they saw my cat right away. I was so thankful for this, as we had driven all the way to another urgent care just to get turned away(they had too many emergencies and couldn't take my cat). Dr. George was very thorough in trying to figure out what was going on with her. Unfortunately, it was our sweet cat's time to go to heaven. Christina, the Director of Mohnacky was so kind and compassionate. If it weren't for her, we probably wouldn't have brought our cat back in, and she would have suffered. Christina helped us through the most painful time for our family. She let us have the room with our sweet kitty as long as we needed, before and after the end of life treatment. Thank you Christina for being there for us through such a painful and difficult time. We are so grateful.

Where do I begin?!?! I was left traumatized. I took my dog in and all the tests were correct; I…read morehave no issues w that. It's the care, or lack thereof, my dog received. They sedated him bcuz he was stressed and then handed me a dog with little to no instructions except "if his tongue turns blue get him to an emergency vet". He's a French bulldog and if anyone knows this breed, they have a really hard time coming out of sedation. Theo was OUT! He wasn't eating or drinking so I kept calling to ask questions since I was never given any after care instructions (minus the "if his tongue turns blue takes him to an emergency vet"). Monday it started, by THURSDAY when I was the only one calling them...I had enough. No one EVER called to schedule his surgeries, I called Monday evening, Tuesday, Wednesday and THURSDAY. Every time to be told by (even the doctor) they'd call me back, no one ever called. The excuses were endless. While they didn't charge me for anything except the exam, I would not recommend taking your pet here. Thursday AFTERNOON I was told they wanted to switch doctors bcuz Dr Southern (I think that's her name) was "more hands on" but I had already told the front desk around 8a-9a that's day I'd never let them touch my dog again. Clearly the communication is lacking there. Denise* also had an attitude because I asked what my bill was and in which she replied "I'm not getting into it with you." So when it comes to your pet or the bill, Denise has no time or patience for customers. Frustration doesn't even begin to cover what I felt. I found another vet to to do his surgeries...$3000 LESS than Mohnacky and they specialize in the French Bulldog breed. I won't even get into the what Mohnacky was going to charge me...I had a few vets look the estimate I was given by Mohnacky and they were all in disbelief. My quote from Mohnacky was $5575 without his teeth cleaning (another $487 on top of $5575). I paid $3025 for neuter, removal of bladder stones, teeth cleaning and teeth extractions and labs at a vet in San Diego. The new vet also didn't charge me for X-rays since Mohnacky wasn't sharing my dogs medical record with them and they said it was not mine or my dogs fault. I had to call Mohnacky to finally ask for his records, I was put on hold and then hung up on. When I called again I told them I couldn't hold and the girl knew exactly who I was without me even saying a word, with a sigh she said "this is for Theo?" I got the email; they did not email the new vet as they said they would. Mohnacky also changes vets so much, my dog has seen Dr. Saaco, Dr. Yaeger, Dr Bulliard, another at vista I don't remember his name and then Dr. George in a span of 2yrs. I asked the front desk if they rotated doctors through their facilities, she said no. Dr Saaco has been the only one I've liked but she is no longer there and has her own practice in San Marcos. A LOT of red flags! I personally will ever take another pet here or any other Mohnacky in North County. I wouldn't allow them to change my goldfish's water honestly.
