They billed my insurance for procedures I never had done nor discussed doing. I was due for a root canal and they billed me for a pulpectomy (I said wasn't doing that.) then billed me for a gold tooth for my root canal, that was never discussed ever. Prior to this, I had gone for my routine cleaning, they told me I had cavities on every tooth and I need a filling on all of my teeth. I asked to see my x-ray and they told me no. Lol, okay. I was scheduled for a filling on tooth #12. Prior to beginning the procedure, the dentist asked if I had any concerns since my last cleaning. I explained that my upper left retainer detached immediately after my last cleaning at their office. I asked if the retainer could be rebonded, since it had come off as a direct result of the cleaning. The head dentist Dr. Suri, entered the room and stated that he would not rebond the retainer, instructing me to see my orthodontist instead. I explained that the orthodontist would charge me $200, and that the issue occurred due to their cleaning, not due to my neglect or misuse. Despite this, the dentist refused to provide the service. When I stated that I would file a complaint with my insurance and the medical board regarding the refusal, the dentist escalated the situation further by refusing to provide any treatment at all, including the scheduled filling. I was denied service solely because I expressed intent to exercise my right to file a grievance. Dr. Suri ran out of the room saying because I was going to complain he was refusing to service me. Following this incident, I submitted a HIPAA medical records request form asking for a complete copy of my dental records. In response, the office provided me with only two pieces of paper, which they claimed constituted my entire medical record. This is highly questionable and may represent failure to provide a full and accurate medical record as required by federal law. After leaving the office, the office manager called me to say that my orthodontist had agreed to rebond my retainer as a "courtesy." This was because I have a 15 yr relationship with the orthodontist and this is NOT the first time Suri Dental group has removed the bonding from my retainer. He has reported the dentist as well. However, during the same call, the office manager stated that they were dismissing me as a patient entirely and that they would now "put the entirety" of my medical records in the mail. 0/10 don't recommend!!!!!! You have rights as a patient, always use those rights. Unprofessional conduct (retaliating against a patient for stating intent to file a complaint). read more

I have had some really bad luck with dentists, leading to my not seeing any DDS for quite awhile. As usually happens when you ignore your teeth, they tend to revolt, forcing me to take a chance on Dr. Suri. I am so glad I did! He didn't have much in the way of good news for me, but anyone can deliver good news; it takes someone special to deliver bad news. The staff/techs were also really nice, which isn't critical, like the office space being nice - and with parking - which in Nassau can be pretty important. I wanted my son to do the review three weeks ago, he asked me to do it. This is a genuine and honest review. 3 stars for the receptionist! My son recently considered Suri Dentist Office for his dental care, they had good reviews on Google, but after his first visit, He has decided to look elsewhere--and you might want to as well. My son had a 12:30 pm appointment, and we arrived at noon. The receptionist, a very pleasant young lady, checked him in. However, as we waited, I noticed several patients who arrived after him were being called in and leaving before him. After an hour, I asked the receptionist why he hadn't been seen yet. She explained that he was waiting for the doctor, who was new to the facility and finishing up with another patient. Finally, 15 minutes later, my son was called in. When he came out, he was disappointed with the experience. He told me that the doctor never introduced himself, which is something all professionals should do when meeting a patient for the first time. In fact, my son had to ask for his name at the end of the appointment, to which the doctor simply replied, "Dr. Suri," and then walked out of the room. No explanation, no opportunity for questions. The biggest issue, however, was the diagnosis. My son was told he needed a root canal on a tooth that has never bothered him--without being offered a restoration as an option. He was also told that all of his wisdom teeth needed to be extracted due to cavities. I found these recommendations extreme for my son. As his dental health has always been good. Typically, restoration is the first course of action before considering such drastic procedures. It seemed more like a money grab than a genuine concern for his dental health. It's alarming when a professional's first solution is to remove teeth rather than preserve them. Extractions and root canals should be last-resort options, not the go-to treatment plan. As someone who has had extractions, restorations, and root canals, I know removing teeth will begin to shift all the other teeth, which eventually changes the smile; sometimes for the worst Needless to say, we won't be returning. If you're considering this office, I suggest doing your research and possibly seeking a second opinion before proceeding with any major dental work. read more

If I could give Suri Dental 0 stars, I would. Dr Suri is the most cocky, condescending dentist I have ever met. It was a huge waste of time and he let me leave in severe pain. The front desk tells you one thing to get you in the office and them he comes in with such an attitude. He is extremely hard to talk to. And while I was talking to his receptionist that TOLD me he takes my insurance and does root canals, he called her into his office to stop her from speaking with me. I then told the other receptionist that I don't care for his attitude and left. Save yourself some grief and look elsewhere. I recently did my homework and found this location for someone . The reviews from website seem to be consistent with the reviews from the past . The feedback from yelp was also played a part . However I did appreciate the location taking the time to write back . To me that shows you want to improve where you see issues . Once the person arrived I was told the service was fast . They went straight into the room once paperwork was filled out . The overall review that was shared with me was great . Customer service from all the staff was so good . It wasn't a rush dental cleaning or rush exam time was taken . Questions was asked between patient and Dr. Which made them feel good to know you want to get to know your patients. I came in during Covid because i couldn't find a dentist that was taking patients yet so dr Suri cut the nerve to stop the pain then he said I didn't need a post so he made a crown which fell out a year and a few months later I have had the crown glued twice but my current dentist said you needed a post their was not enough tooth to hold the crown. so the $$ I gave him about $1,800 was a waste I now have to get root canal a post & new crown he is a very nice guy but I believe he was just starting out! read more

Absolutely the single worst experience of my entire life. My wife went for an emergency visit from a tooth ache she had for 24 hours. The ache was more the gum and less the tooth and it is important to note she was aching for no more than 24 hours. He saw her and said the tooth had to be pulled for $600. No mention of antibiotics or alternate treatment. He even said her tooth was loose which obviously it was NOT. We since called 2 other dentists and they both concurred that no extraction should be performed on an infected tooth without antibiotics first! Further when my wife asked for antibiotics to try to see if it would work in lieu of the invasive tooth extraction, he flat out said no. He said "it would be unethical and I could lose my license". I started a dental implant and suddenly I did not have a trustworthy dentist for the crown placement. Dr Suri saw me on a moments notice without hesiration. Although I am reticent to provide negative reviews, my experience with this dentist was far from satisfactory. I went in for a painful molar after determining that the practice accepted my DeltaDental plan. One extracted tooth turned into two. I have few natural teeth left so each tooth is a treasure to me. The doctor advised me during the process that he was going to pull the adjacent tooth (while I was still numbed from the first) because it was going to need extraction "eventually." Well, instead of the copay that I expected, I was presented with a bill for $475.00 that included bone implants and another service that was not performed nor was it covered by DeltaDental. After realizing the overcharge, I called his office and was tersely told by the office manager that she had no information about the bill and that I should call the dentist and ask him directly. After lodging a complaint with Delta, who declined any bone implant payment, I am still searching for a good, reliable dentist. read more

I see Dr. Suri every 3 months for a cleaning. He always comes in to thoroughly inspect my mouth and then his wizard of a hygienist gets to work. They always make sure I'm comfortable at all times through the entire process. I always leave there wirh great Teeth/Mouth tips as well. I was not too impressed with this dentist's practice. He was nice enough, but one of the ladies at the front desk was kind of rude. She snatched some insurance papers from my hands while I was filling them out and said I didn't need to do that because it's online. The hygienist was very rough with the cleaning and the x-rays she took were also extremely painful, like nothing I've ever experienced at the dentist. When I told her how much everything hurt, she said it's because I don't floss enough. Actually, I floss almost every day and I've never had a painful cleaning in my life! Finally the dentist comes in only to tell me I have x amount of cavities and I need to get them all filled ASAP, but he never showed me the x-rays. Then when I went to check out, the same lady was very pushy about scheduling my next appointment to have the cavities filled and when I asked how much it would cost, she said "Don't worry about that. The insurance will pay" and refused to give me the cost. Between not seeing x-rays and not getting a price for my treatment, I did not feel comfortable going back. Then, after I had cancelled my appointment with the answering service, the same lady called me and asked if I wanted to reschedule. I told her I would not be rescheduling. Then, the dentist himself called me about a week later asking if I was going to reschedule, so I had to have that whole conversation again and then he asked WHY I wasn't rescheduling... it only made my bad experience even worse! read more

I got a night guard at this dental clinic, thinking I purchased something that would last me at least 2 years as they told me. Used the night guard 2 or 3 times and it already had a slight crack. I got a night guard at a different clinic before, and it lasted me much longer and was far better quality. Since I had to leave the state, I was unable to go back and they could do nothing to help. im a 50 year old male with hiv and medications do take effect in bone loss..i went in for a temp or temp fix. for my top right teeth a total of 4 . until i can afford to purchase implants and/or bridge. i was taken x-rays before the consultation..seen by the dental hygienist.so of course they ran my insurance. then came the dr. suri for my consult and after viewing my xrays.. his automatic recommendation was to remove all my teeth and get dentures because there's nothing that can be done or paying a quote of approx. 15 -20 grand for implants. advised no other dentist can do it correctly other than do what he advised. and if i ever went to another dentist and charged less or attempted to do a bridge it would be a waste of money because they could not be done for less and it won't last.. so he continuously insisted on a denture. who wants dentures at 50? i was appalled! ii wasn't even offered a new temporary or givin a option. did not at all take his advice. i walked out disgusted at his demeanor and his disencouraging pompus consult! i will say i went to 2 other consults and none recommended dentures nor treated me with such bias behavior. i had the work done by another practice in nyc i paid more but it was worth it. its beatuful and cant be happier ..all it took was 2 implants and a bridge. i would never recommend this office to anyone. i wouldnt give him a dime! ..and if your in the lgbt community..i would think twice before seeing this practice. end! read more
