The office has a very friendly atmosphere. My last visit was for my six month cleaning. Latia, my hygienist is very professional and tells you what she is doing and finding as she checks your teeth and gums. Very thorough cleaning yet careful not to cause discomfort. Nick at the desk knows how to set your appointments and gives you reminders. The doctors including Nicole and Stephanie really know what they are doing. I just had Tia do my regular teeth cleaning. As always she did a great job. She scraped, cleaned and buffed every tooth. She is a meticulous hygienist. I have been using Dr Florio since I moved to the area in 2005 and have been extremely happy with his services. Unlike some previous dentists I have used he is conservative about recommending procedures until they are needed. Many times he has recommended that we hold off and just keep an eye on a tooth until the next visit. He is also a very charming and friendly guy. read more

They put him on a treatment plan and ensured his smile was ready for an upcoming family event and even better - that he had a healthy mouth! Be very careful when going to visit this office,was told they were in network providers only to find out they werent and lied to me resulting in a bill that was not covered at 70% .........I am a senior citizen and was totally lied to and taken advantage of .The office is totally unprofessional and no body could give me answers as to why they took me as a patient knowing I needed an in network provider..........Before you book an appointment with them be aware truth is not one of their strong points besides the shabby work done and prices way to high for work that resulted in more problems............ read more

Avoid unless you want to pay a lot of money. Front desk is very misleading and will claim your insurance and all the doctors are in network. After treatment they will tell you, you are not covered and have you pay an outrageous amount. Later you will find out you were actually covered and they sneaked in an out of network doctor cause of "scheduling issues". On top of that they will hold your payment hostage until they double dipped on the insurance claim they filed for the treatment you were actually covered for. read more

Avoid this place at all costs. Everyone is super nice so you don't notice that they're convincing you to get services you don't need. Somehow every one of my molars needed fillings for cavities that barely showed up on the X-rays. They take reasonable payment on the spot and then bill you through the nose afterwards. Of course they claim that they had no idea what it would actually cost until they submit the claim (because why would they know the cost of services they regularly provide). The office staff then gets nasty when you question the exorbitant bills. To add insult to injury, all of the BS fillings they talked me into were crumbling within a year. read more

This is the first time a dental practice has been so attentive to the aesthetics and health of my teeth. I wish I had found them years earlier! After moving back to LI a few years ago, I'd received a flyer advertising Lynbrook Smiles. I barely glanced at it because I was loyal to my dentist in Queens. She was helpful but not proactive at communicating with my orthodontist even when she saw things were going awry during the course of Invisalign treatment. Early this year, my orthodontist told me my Invisalign procedure was coming to an end after three years and thousands of dollars, despite two of my molars leaning like the Tower of Pisa from his attempt at closing a gap without using an implant. I remembered Lynbrook Smiles and made an appointment for a second opinion several weeks before the COVID-19 lockdown. Dr. Florio at my initial consultation was patient and thorough, showing me a clear plan and answering my questions in-depth. He spent an impressively long time explaining everything going on with my teeth, even though it was not guaranteed I'd be his patient. I felt confident in his knowledge and experience. It didn't take much more for me to switch dentists, one of the best decisions I've made regarding my health. Dr. Florio picked up the phone and called my orthodontist, which my previous dentist had never done. Besides ardently improving the health of my teeth, Drs. Florio and Kohner also care about the aesthetics, as we all do. They've repeatedly reminded me to whiten my teeth as much as possible before they do more restoration, so that the permanent crowns they order would be the most white my teeth can be. It isn't that I'm being pushed into doing an in-office whitening procedure; I'm using a whitening product I purchased online in my Invisalign aligners, as they'd suggested. Nobody previously had cared enough to mention that, but it is important to me and I'm glad to have guidance. At a visit with Dr. Kohner to do a cavity procedure on my back tooth and without my mentioning anything, after a slight movement of her fingers she mentioned she'd removed a black pepper speck-like stain that had stubbornly been on my front tooth adjacent to an Invisalign attachment post for 3 years, bothering me every time I looked in the mirror. Neither my previous dentist nor my orthodontist had nearly as much attention to detail. That simple gesture showed how much of a perfectionist Dr. Kohner is and, unbeknownst to her, made a big impact on how I feel when I look at my teeth. Dr. Florio and his daughter Dr. Kohner are both personable and professional in the ideal mixture one would want in a healthcare practitioner. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree, as Dr. Kohner is knowledgeable, funny, and kind, always making sure I'm comfortable and pain-free during our numerous sessions. I often have to hold back from laughing in Dr. Kohner's chair during a procedure. Dr. Florio has only done one procedure on me as of yet due to my dental insurance, but he did a perfect job saving a tooth with the highest-quality crown. The doctor who did my extraction was gentle and efficient. The staff are friendly and cheerful, everyone from the front desk ladies to the dental assistants, notably Johanna, who made me feel at ease. Lynbrook Smiles is a well-run, immaculate, proficient office where I feel that they care about me as if I were a family member. I regret that I hadn't started my Invisalign with them but now I know I'm in good hands. I can't wait to show off my new smile mask-less whenever that'll be!
