Case in point - I am in the process of moving into a new home, which was delayed six months (covid, worker/material shortages, yada yada), after having to get out of my mom's home at break neck speed because of a super fast sell. The sell was at the tail end of caretaking my very sick, and then dying mother. I also inherited my mom's very large, destructive cat. I am telling you all this because it will give you an idea why I made, what I thought might be, the stupid decision to drag a very old, disgusting, stained couch to the new place, rather than have the cat destroy a brand new couch. When it was rolled in, and I got to see it in bright light, I kinda freaked, but decided to try having it professionally cleaned before going to a plan B. Being new to the area, I looked at Yelp to see who might be available to do this for me and was prompted by Yelp to use the request quotes thing, so I did. I received a number of responses saying that all these companies were booked up, and a response from Beantowns Finest, with open dates, times, and very clear information about prices, which were VERY Reasonable. Owner/operators Jesica and Randy were very responsive to my questions, easy to communicate with, and easy to set an appointment time with as well. Randy showed up early for the appointment, was very professional and pleasant, and proceeded right away to turn my nightmare couch into an almost new looking couch - it was freaking amazing, and a waaaaaay better result than I could have dared to hope for. He also worked his magic on three filthy gabbeh rugs that I was fearing were doomed as well. I just can't believe what he was able to do with them. I was also grateful that all this was done without a huge truck thucka thucking in the driveway, miles of hoses, and doors open to the cold for hours. He has portable machines that work with a bathroom sink and the house's hot water. He left the entire area cleaner than before he arrived - which can sometimes be an issue with this sort of service. the final price was so reasonable, I bumped the check up a bit to make it what I thought was more fair. I will definitely be using them for furniture and rug cleaning, and any other cleaning services I may need, from now on. Thank you guys so much!

She scheduled us for a few days out and communication was great. On the day she texted to let me know she'd be 20 minutes late, and she was there on the dot when she said she'd be. She runs the business with her husband Randy and they brought two of their children to help. Listen: This is a REAL FAMILY BUSINESS! They were friendly and professional. They wore masks too. (Covid isn't over, friends.) They were all hands on deck for what was kind of a big job, and they did it. She even did an extra thing I'd forgotten to ask for and she made time for that as well. Their rates are fair, and I found out that they do a ton of other work too! On-site car washing and detailing, windows, power-washing, and painting, to name just a few things. The floor beneath the collapsed tiles was very messy and the situation really was a sort of emergency because I am quite elderly and did not have the strength to fix the two tiles and clean the floor. Ben came out and was very knowledgeable about ceiling tiles and dryer vents. He seemed to have a talent for handyman tasks. He was polite, organized, and had all the equipment necessary for the task. He specifically stated that they would use a shovel to hand dig around the asphalt so they wouldn't cause any damage. The day of the job he brought in another gentleman to operate the excavator. The operator went straight into a pile of debris right by my asphalt and took a 10"x10" chunk out of it and caused a crack leading to my house. All 3 of us were there and witnessed this happen. I asked them about it and neither of them acknowledged my question and continued to work. Before we started I showed them a back section of the yard I specifically wanted gone. Colin kept saying that he understood what I was asking, but they kept excavating the wrong part of the yard. I continued to try to clarify that wasn't what I was looking for and then Colin just walked away from me in a huff. I then went up to the operator himself to try and explain and the response I got was "I'm trying really hard to be nice to you right now" . Which was a surprisingly aggressive response to receive when you're asking the people who are removing dirt on your property to remove the correct dirt. At the end, the operator dumped a bucket of dirt over the crack to intentionally cover it up and then he left the job site without letting me know he was leaving or confirming with me that the job was done. Colin was ready to leave as well, but thankfully I hadn't paid him yet, so I went back over to the crack to address it with him. It was only after I called him out for it A SECOND TIME at the very end that he took responsibility and acknowledged the damage. Colin did have someone come out and fix the asphalt, but only because he got caught. If you do use him, make sure you supervise the entire job.

I needed to have the roof replaced on the estate house within 30 days for insurance purposes. I contacted Vaz Construction and was connected with Elijah DeSouzs as my project manger. He was the best. Kept in touch with me on a timely basis, always on time for on-site appointments, knowledgeable about the roof products and friendly and kind. We were able to get the job done within my time frame. I had a great experience from the time I contacted them to the end of the process. They were friendly while booking, listened to me and were realistic with pricing. They got me in as soon as they could as well. I have a strange parking situation and they were able to text the night before to tell me how many were coming etc. The two women that cleaned were so nice. They worked really hard and listened to my concerns. When I came back the place looked great. I paid extra for them to do the stove/ oven and it looked brand new. I feel comfortable moving my things in now due to their attention to detail. I would use their services again, will most likely have them come in a month or so to do a light cleaning.
