She was a favorite teacher of mine and a beloved teacher of so many ! You can feel the passion she has for healing work and she is continually learning more. Her heart is golden and her integrity and kindness, are of the highest kind. Anyone who meets her would know this. Her knowledge of the body, experienced hands, expertise in many healing modalities , passion, and heart bring me back whenever I can! The negative review was clearly written, however this does not describe Dana or how she operates in any clear way-there is always more to the story. I asked Dana about the negative review...the woman who wrote the review, had bought a gift certificate from Dana, for a massage for her brother. He missed his appointment. Dana had to call him, when he was a no show. A no show is obligated to pay for the appointment time in any established business. Dana generously offered to reschedule him without a rescheduling fee.. but it didn't work for him and he didn't try to make it work. The sister didn't know the whole story until Dana shared the texts with her. So..the negative review is not at all accurate. Unfortunately, when the sister learned the truth, she offered to remove her negative yelp review, only if Dana refunded the money. The negative review is a complete misrepresentation of Dana Rose. Dana is one of the good ones- one of the best ones - don't do yourself the disservice of missing out on Dana!

The incident left me with a very serious condition that requires deep tissue Bodywork once a month. Given MARIN MAGAZINE choosing her, I thought I could trust it!, (which I have to assume have just been completely gleaned of negative reviews which is the only possible way she could get recognized!) When I pulled up and she was sitting outside on the stoop. I told her I was her next client - She said " Oh lucky me... In a disdainful tone". I thought about just leaving, but I had paid for an 80 minute Massage. I walked into a studio, which was very cute and she stripped the masseuse bed, which was piled to the rafters with God knows what underneath it, but she only changed the sheet underneath and the top sheet. She gave me a few minutes to change and get comfortable. During that time, I was looking at the cute art and pillows, and then noticed one pillow that said, " if you don't like me, then maybe you should get less". I thought what a bizarre thing to have here... She then spent 70% of the time just putting hot towels over me from her microwave which she had CONSTANTLY going the whole time and I suspect she was eating or having tea as well since she definitely wasn't working. She BURNED my back with one of them so much that I screamed, she still didn't remove it, and I lifted it up and said get that off of me! None of me was massaged properly at all! And then she attempted to do what she thinks is a sound bath Which was such a joke and in her last pass at Me she put a very high-pitched bowl right up to my ear which Also had me lifting up really upset with her. There is a reason the ohm Frequency is sacred, you horrible person!I got up and got out of there straight away. I've never had anything done like that to me in my entire life. And I'm a tough cookie, an artist and management consultant. Berkeley is so far for me to drive now living in Marin County, But I'm going back to my trusted person for now and try and find someone in Marin at a later date. I'll be checking to see if she takes my reviews down and if she does, I'll just put it right back up again. She doesn't know what she's doing, she's lazy, rude and DEEPLY unkind (abusive)!
