Not the case when he sees Dr. Frady. Our pediatrician has asked out loud what her secret is! The office is perfect for kids of all ages. There's a TV in the waiting room as well as a play area. The kids can watch a movie on an iPad while they're tipped back having their teeth cleaned. There are toys to play with while waiting for x-ray results and the kids get a token for the toy machine after their appointment. Significant to me is that you can go back in the exam room with your child. There are some pediatric dentists who make it a rule that parents must stay in the waiting room. Most importantly, Dr. Frady and her team truly seem to love children! I make no secret of the fact that I think my son has the best dentist ever!

Our insurance (BCBS) was not covered but we decided to give them a chance none-the-less. They stated an estimate would be given to us "soon." After several calls to them and a month later, no estimate would be provided. And now, just a couple days from the scheduled appointment, they don't answer their phone - instead, I receive a message stating they're closed...15 minutes before their actual closing time of 3:00pm as stated on their site. I was forced to leave a voice message to cancel her appointments due to not receiving estimates in a timely manner. Really wish this hasn't occurred as it has added a month to my daughter not having her cavity taken care of. (FYI: the dentist and assistant I met with a month ago seemed great!)

No one LOVES the dentist, but this place sure tries to make it happen! They also have tablets they can pull kind of up and right in your child's sight to help distract them a bit during the cleaning and polishing. Front lobby and waiting room has a whole little interactive play area as well as a TV with usually some fun Disney or other type of movie playing my twins always really like the toy area cause it's a whole little grocery store set up and they love playing pretend with that. At the end, this place gives out a special little golden token in which case they can use this for a giant kind of like gumball machine but for TOYS that has all different types of trinkets in it like a gumball machine, but for little toys and they all get to pick one. I called to schedule an appointment and the woman who answered the phone was very short and rude to me. I got as far as asking about accepted insurance and advised her I have employer offered insurance with United Healthcare, as well as have UHC Badgercare Plus assistance for my son. She made me feel very degraded as she stated they do not accept UHC insurance and absolutely did not accept any type of state assistance. I could not believe they did not accept regular UHC insurance, but I did expect them to not accept the Badgercare, as most dentists do not. I asked if I could pay out of pocket and she told me "no, we will not take your money". I felt like I should have apologized for being an inconvenience to her time, after the way she spoke to me. She never apologized for the inconvenience and did not offer any other pediatric dentist to call. I will advise my current dentist to not refer patients here any more. I have thick skin and used to be a Cop. I can handle being spoken to in any manner. I would not recommend anyone to contact this office after my experience. The first impression is a lasting impression.

Fast forward a month when I get a bill for the full amount and I call there office.. I call there and the customer service is the worst I have ever experienced. No one will email you back and when I explained the circumstances I was told I still owe the full amount its my job to know my coverage. Will never go back and I don't recommend anyone else use their services either. It was a total bait and switch and the verbal promises their managers make are worth nothing.

From the start, I appreciated how easy the process was. They communicated with me ahead of time, sending over new patient information and allowing me to submit my insurance details via text. This made check-in a breeze when I arrived! The office itself is modern, bright, and smells fresh and clean. Upon arrival, I checked in, which was simple thanks to having everything submitted ahead of time. The cleaning area was a bit overwhelming at first due to how open it was with all of the cleaning rooms--coming from a smaller, more secluded space--but once I got to my cleaning room, I felt comfortable. Since I was a new patient, I had to take x-rays, and the staff member who walked me through each step was super informative and friendly. The equipment they used was top-of-the-line, and I thought it was so cool to see my teeth on the monitor after the x-rays. They even have a machine that checks your entire mouth, which I really appreciated for the thoroughness and teeth health. The hygienist was fantastic--she was careful and took her time with the cleaning. One thing I really liked was that she made sure to use suction when needed, which is always a nice touch--some hygienists forget to suction or have you ask. The dentist was just as friendly and sweet as the rest of the team, and she did a thorough check of my teeth and asked if I had any concerns too. I walked out of there feeling like a million bucks--between the friendly staff, the cleanliness, and the compliments on my teeth, it was an overall great experience! I liked that they made my next appointment card for six months right away too. The only downside is that they don't offer Invisalign or braces, but they referred me to an orthodontist, which I appreciated. My last visit he told me I had "another" cavity and decided I'd rather have the cavity than walk into an office just to be shamed and then have to pay money for it. This was my first visit here and I immediately felt that this was not that type of environment. Everyone was SO NICE. They made me feel comfortable and knew what they were doing. I was checked in, X-rayed, examined, and cleaned within 40 minutes! After my cleaning they said I was good to go so I asked about my cavity, and they said I didn't have any! I knew my previous dentist was not treating me right! I can't thank Anderson Dentist enough for making me actually like going to the dentist again, judgement free.
