In Dec 2016, I was going through an emotional meltdown after having 2 accidents back to back, a…read morebroken ankle, a boundary less life that was driving me knots, a sexual assault by my Father-In-law and deep seated emotional hurts from my childhood that constantly got me depressed. I had never seen a counselor/therapist before so I was very picky and did a lot of research. I wanted someone who shared the same faith with me and had experience handling the issues I was dealing with. I narrowed my search to Jamie and that was one of the best decisions I've made in my life. Right from my first meeting with Jamie, I felt very comfortable, zero judgement, I was free to bear my heart out to her and she diagnosed the root cause of my issues which was a life with no boundaries. I had the biggest light bulb moments I've ever had in my life during our sessions. I spent over a year with Jamie and each session was super refreshing. I looked forward to each session. She uncovered a lot of connections from my past that were affecting some of the decisions and choices I was making. It was mind-blowing. I am a stronger woman with firm boundaries because of Jamie's help. She helped me work through each childhood hurt that was causing me depression. Before I made an appointment for my child I continued to do my due diligence, make sure that this was the therapy we wanted to continue forward with. Sadly, I've gone to her business twitter page, @grassrootstherapists and see how she harasses numerous individuals using their full names. This is very unprofessional and erratic. I am truly unsure where she finds the time to post that many times a day, targeting individuals for a variety of different things. It's concerning as this is behavior that could have her licensing suspended or worse. I have included screenshots but go to twitter/x yourself and you will see it's endless. Not only is this extremely unprofessional, but I'm in the group she is referring to as well, as I'm sure many clients are due to proximity, and I looked up several of these posts myself and was further disappointed how out of context she frames things. She will take clearly sarcastic comments and turn it into an entire smear campaign against the individual to whatever narrative she wants. Anyone that has a different opinion of her falls victim to her online smear campaign. These are people in the same area, the same county, the same town, the same school district. This is concerning when picking a therapist because obviously one wouldn't want a therapist that is going to judge them simply for a difference of opinion. It is also concerning because it appears she never even had a conversation with the people who's comments she screenshotted which means she was sitting there, reading a 200 comment post and just lurking and looking for "ammo". I hope she is able to get some peace and happiness and stop the foolishness. Remember the Golden Rule. I still bless her moving forward, but we will no longer be using her as a therapist. I pray to God that you are able to start treating his creation with kindness and maybe an open conversation instead of resorting to keyboard warrior on twitter for clout.
