Once our food was served, our server essentially disappeared. No one checked on our table, cleared empty plates, or removed used glasses or silverware. We remained seated with dirty dishes for the rest of the evening. When we finished eating, we waited approximately 40 minutes just to receive our check. During that time, the rest of my party eventually left while I stayed behind to settle the bill. After paying, I waited an additional 20 minutes for the complimentary birthday dessert that had been promised to my daughter. When the food runner walked out of the kitchen with the desert in a bag she was literally swinging it back and forth. In total, I spent nearly an hour sitting alone at a table covered with dirty dishes. Throughout that time, not a single plate, glass, or piece of silverware was removed, and no employee checked on me. Before leaving, I quietly attempted to speak with the employee at the hostess stand about our experience. She appeared unsure of how to respond and simply stood there without saying anything. I thanked her and walked away. Once again, no one apologized or even acknowledged how disappointing the evening had been. I spoke with the front desk at the resort as well as the Director of Rooms who assured me that the Director of Food and Beverage would be reaching out to me to discuss the issues my family and I encountered.
