The lunch special was perfect size for our family of 4 with small kids. Something for everyone to eat. Food was out quick. The vegetable tempura was a bit too oily for my preference but everything else was great!

My favorite sushi place. Yes, can't resist the views when you sit and people watch with the harbor and all its beauty in sight. A small hole in the wall, this place is our family's go-to after an evening walk when we don't want to cook. We all agree on the lobster roll and share a combo special, then grab a few more rolls. Everything comes out quickly and staff are always kind and helpful with recommendations. It isn't too fancy, but perfect family sushi dinner.

The food is delicious, I come here at least once a week, as a treat for myself. I get the baked salmon roll and gobble that sh t up. Like I'm fr innit

Pretty delicious sushi in Santa Barbara ! Came here during a little mini weekend getaway with the hubby. We aren't familiar with the area but our Airbnb host actually recommended this place. Food - I ordered a rainbow roll and a salmon avocado roll. Both were very delicious and the fish was surprisingly very fresh! My husband ordered something separate and I can't remember what it was but he also was surprised at how fresh the fish was. We also tried the miso soup which was just okay. Dl Service - Incredibly friendly and everyone seems very attentive. They check on the customers all the time and it seemed like there was always one person outside to make sure that everyone was okay. Ambiance - They only have outdoor seating which is just fine because the view from the piers are lovely. You get to see the sailboats, the hills, the water, etc. The restaurant itself is small - it seems mostly for take-out. The only thing that I found most challenging but wasn't a huge inconvenience was the parking. There's a huge parking lot but it can be quite a walk to get to the restaurant, especially if it's a busy weekend so expect to do some walking just to get to order some sushi from here!

Super great for a quickish meal!! I ordered the baked lobster roll and beef potstickes and ate it outside (there are no tables inside, so maybe not great if its cold out). Both my items were DELICIOUS. Service was also fairly quick. It was a little busy for them and I think I only waited maybe 10-15 minutes.

Such a great quick and easy sushi spot. We stopped by for the view and coffee stop during a road trip back north but passed this place and they DID NOT disappoint! Everything tasted FRESH

First time trying this place. It was recommended by my brother-in-law who has been here before, and my husband has also tried it before and he liked it. It wasn't the best but it was not bad either Laura the cashier was the one that helped us, she was really nice. The spicy salmon was good I think it would've been tastier if it was a little bit warmer as well, but I have had better, however staff were wonderful and I would return to this place

After getting uni and poke, we came next door for sushi and beer. They have a wide variety and we went with nigiri and California roll. There is another place to get other kinds of seafood too. This is the place to pick and choose what one likes. Sitting on the sidewalk table and watch activities on the pier.

Glad to see them back open! We missed then in the harbor. Got 2 rainbow rolls and a large hot sake to go. Everything was spot on (everything supposed to be cold was cold, everything supposed to be hot was hot). Nice firm, thick (in a good way, no skimping) cuts of fish on top. Definitely fair prices (even with it being about a $1 more compared to before closure).

Spicy tuna roll and soft shell crab roll

Awesome food with awesome view! Priced reasonably. Best sushi in Santa Barbara. Don't miss it on ypur next trip to the harbor.

We ordered tiger roll and rainbow roll, both are very fresh and good quality. The price is also very reasonable.

Had reservations for 7 pm dinner on Friday. The place wasn't busy during our entire dining experience. Aside from a larger table of ~10 people and 2 smaller tables, the place was empty, which was nice and quiet for date night and anniversary celebration. The 9-course Kaiseki was plate after plate of flavor. Highlights: - Course 4: Somen with sweet broth, grilled beef, and grilled green onion. THIS. The beef was so good, I refused to swallow, so I could savor the flavor. Fatty in flavor. Lean in cut. Somen cooked to perfection. - Course 7: Chilean sea bass simmered in bonito chicken broth with daikon and green beans ~ THE SEA BASS WAS GAS. Marinated in miso before grilling, the tenderness and juiciness of the sea bass is locked in prior to simmering in the broth. Chicken broth with the bonito added depth to the dish. - Course 9: Black sesame pudding with tangerine jelly ~ THIS. This dish embodied the level of black sesame I expect for any dish. Tangerine jelly cuts through as a nice refresher for the next bite. Perfectly not too sweet. All in all, I had the best experience. Each component of a dish adds its own flavor that completes the dish as a whole. Ultimately, one of my favorite culinary experiences that took my taste buds on a journey! Would return!

Chili crunch dumplings: 5 I love my dumplings and this is up there!! This was probably our favorite item. Would've gotten 2 orders looking back. Curry noodles w/ crab: 5 Amazing flavor. Loved the noodle texture. More soupy. Crab was a nice addition, a decent portion. Not shredded or small chunks but also not the most supple crab pieces either. But was happy that we added! Service: 10/5!!! Kathleen was amazing. So so nice. We originally had a different order but we kept going back and forth on items. Kathleen was not only helpful in helping us decide but came back to our table right before they started cooking and asked if we wanted to change our order only because the curry might give more contrast to our other items. I thought that was just so incredibly kind and really showed how she was invested in our experience. This is why I really wanted to write this review! Ambiance 5/5: Open kitchen is really nice and like that they had outdoor area. Garage parking next door too that wasn't too pricy. Overalls cute decor and clean space.

The miso soup was pretty "meh", but the salad with its miso dressing was tasty, as was the shrimp and veggie tempura; nothing outstanding, but on point. The pork-filled gyoza were also fresh and delicious. The "Bluefin tuna 6 ways" was outstanding: each presentation highlighted different cuts of the fish and each one was delicious and a bit different, really good. My girl had some green tea mochi she liked; I tasted it and it didn't do much for me, but... Wine pours by the glass are generous and reasonable, and the service was just fine, courteous and attentive. This is a small restaurant and it can get kind of noisy and crowded, but that's also a testament to the fact people know how good this place is. If you're a local you probably know this, but if you're a visitor (like we were) be sure to check this place out if you're in Santa Barbara and craving really good Japanese food. Recommended.
