I remember this place when it was Tofu house on one side and Sushi house on the other. Came back recently for the first time in about 10 years and noticed the changes. Their prices are really good. A lot of the food is inexpensive, but I feel the appetizers are most definitely overpriced. I like that they do have snow crab nigiri. However, they won't add it to any of their rolls even when I said I would pay the extra. Usually the place I go to will do that for me due to my allergy to the imitation crab meat. So I was a little disappointed about this. So I just ordered the nigiri. The yakitori was interesting. They made theirs like a chicken kabob. I didn't hate it, but I wasn't in the mood for kabob. I wanted yakitori. They do not give you complimentary soup or salad when you order also. Also when you order specific things. Overall I do not dislike the new changes since I've been. I would come back for the dishes and not sushi though.

My family loves Sushi House. My daughter begs to come here every week and the staff treat us like family. If you love sushi or Korean food, this is the spot in the area. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is always clean and bright.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]You can see the line of chefs hand making sushi and sashimi.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Tonight I ordered the sashimi appetizer and seaweed soup. My wife ordered Chicken Katsu and my kiddo got Bibimbap without veggies (I know it's boring and I tell her every time). She also ordered a set of avocado sushi rolls. Everything was fresh and delicious. If you are adventurous try the Korean dishes. My favorite is the Yukgaejang or the Korean wings. I am currently not eating carbs so I can't enjoy either, but I love them. Please support this local spot.

Love the food here but prices have really gone up quite a bit! The sushi does not come with soup or salad here. We got the three rolls pictured, the appetizer roll and two side salads for seventy-some dollars. The sushi was fresh and the rice was perfect. I wasn't a huge fan of the salmon wow or Sunday morning roll flavors, I wish I would have gone more traditional, like a spicy tuna roll. The yummy roll is always amazing! I didn't get a picture because I was too hungry, but the side salad was a small bowl of iceberg type lettuce and we got the sesame dressing, which was really good! That was $2.25. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place was really busy and it was pretty late on a Saturday evening, so that does say something![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I arrived on a Thursday evening with much desire for some amazing sushi. And what better place to find just that than at a house of sushi! I was seated right away and given a menu with much variety. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Its casual dining inside and very clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ordered the shrimp dumplings and edamame for appetizers. Both were perfect. For my sushi boat I ordered the dragon roll, las Vegas roll, tiger roll, and lobster tempura roll. All of them were phenomenal. It was like a taste heaven every mouth full. I was 100% satisfied with my choices and if you're a sushi lover, I would highly recommend. I can't wait to return for more

We order take out for Sushi House it was amazing. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was so pretty and I can't wait to go and dine in.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] If their take out looks like this and tastes as good as it did. How much better would it be to dine in. We order shrimp tempura and lobster tempura rolls. They were great tasting. The wasabi was great and fresh it has to be in-house made. The roe was fresh and colorful. The ginger tasted fresh too.

This place was actually really good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Despite a weird entrance and kind of unaesthetic vibes inside, the food was delicious.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The waitress was really patient as we looked for what we wanted. We got a lot of water refills. My friend and I both ordered miso soup and the salad -- both so delicious. Honestly, the best miso soup I ever had. The roll was alittle underwhelming but I think I just didn't like mine because my friends was so delicious!

We ordered 4 rolls, all were delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented. The service was fast and kind and [[HIGHLIGHT]]since we were there during lunch, it was not too crowded and no wait![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

We have been coming here regularly for 12 years now, about 1-2 times a month, and have never had a bad meal. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The dining room has plentiful seating, and you will be waited on by multiple servers that have all been there for a long time.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I love the open feel of the dining room and both tables and booths are comfortable.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I recommend the beef bibimbap which comes out in a hot stone bowl. We also enjoy the chicken katsu, and their fresh made sushi. The veggie deluxe roll is a fan favorite. Do not hesitate to stop in for a great meal.

Bibimbap

Today was my first time in several years and since I was out that way I thought I'd try it again! On my past visits I had tried some of their Japanese dishes and sushi and I remembered that they were pretty good! Today I had their beef bibimbap and it was also pretty tasty. They did serve it with some banchan which was nice. This is a place I'd go back to more often if I lived in the area. I'm rounding up a bit based on my memory too! Food: 4.5/5 Service: 5/5 Atmosphere: 4.5/5

My dinning out Meetup group always enjoys coming here, even the ones who drive more than 30 miles 1 way. The sushi choices are some you can't find any where else and the other Japanese and Korean food gives choices if you don't like sushi. I am glad I live so close. Service is still wonderful even after they enlarged the dinning room so more people can enjoy the food. Some times the kitchen get a little behind, but worth the wait. They now have more booths so your party can have some privacy. Also added more tables. Since there is plenty of parking, you shouldn't have to wait too long even at the busy time. I will be back on my own and will be bringing the dinning group also.

Las Vegas roll, delicious roll, firecracker roll

One of the best sushi spots in michigan!! I've been coming here for about 10 years now and it has never disappointed me. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere is so inviting, the staff is always welcoming and warm.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The menu has so many different options for you to choose from. My go-to order is always a las vegas roll. My boyfriend loves the delicious roll, firecracker, and lion king rolls. honorable mention: sweet potato roll (she's a big one) and spicy shrimp roll! They have some of the best miso soup and a to die for dressing they put on their salads, so make sure you start out with those!

In the foreground: lobster tempura which included shrimp, egg, cucumbers, and avocado. The Red Wing Roll (in back) was delicious.

At a former job, I always looked forward to the emails titled, "Little fishies", where we planned our sushi lunches here. Sometimes, there would be 10 of us squeezed together in the restaurant during lunch. Ah, memories. I have not been back all these years so when this place came up in a recent search, I wasn't even certain it was the same place, especially since we all called it the "dollar sushi place" (for a promotion the restaurant offered). When Google Maps brought me back to this location, I thought this would be a trip down memory lane. Nope! The restaurant had doubled in size and looked newer. The sushi bar is on the opposite side now and the dining area is definitely less cramped. Several TV monitors are suspended from the ceiling. Despite the time (late afternoon), there were diners enjoying meals with family and friends. I ordered the Lobster Tempura Roll, the Red Wings Roll, and some sashimi, mackerel and egg. The lobster roll was flavorful, including shrimp, tamago, avocado, and cucumbers. The eel sauce and spicy mayo complemented it. I remember the Red Wings roll from years back, ah, at last, something familiar from the past. Think California Roll crowned with tuna and more crab mixture. It was as good as I remembered. The mackerel was yum, as was the egg (tamago). On subsequent visits, I've also had the Nine Mile and Mango Tango Rolls. The former was enjoyable. I would return for the latter but get it without the chili sauce. I think it detracts from the sweet mango. I've also ventured off the sushi menu and tried the Kalbi beef. This dish features tender and flavorful beef short ribs, served with banchan (pickled daikon, kimchi, bean sprouts, and fish cakes) and rice. So good! As for service, everyone was accommodating. My only concern was the slightly longer-than-expected wait for the food. However, I'm glad I found a new place for my sushi fix, especially since my current fave is blocked by construction traffic. Sigh. I also have to go back for the noodle bowls. I had serious food FOMO when I saw the server with 3 large steaming bowls of noodles.

Ambiance has always stayed the same: cute, cozy, and so comfortable. Now that the booths were removed and they only have regular table seating, service is a bit different (you order at the front or at the kiosk instead of someone taking your order), but I actually love how it all works! From an operational standpoint, I feel like it actually makes things go smoother and faster. Additionally, I don't know if it's just because I haven't had their sushi in a bit, but I felt like their portion sizes actually increased slightly (which is always amazing)!! Love love LOVEEE their sushi and hearty miso soup so much. Great selection of drinks from the fridge inside, and so many vegetables, fish, snacks, and essentials (e.g., hair care, toothpaste).

The premade food choices are growing by the day. They are always adding to their offerings with new flavors and tastes. I started coming to One world market in 1997 when it was first home by a husband and wife team. It was very special at that time to have a Japanese focused grocery store and I was so happy to have one in the Novi area. This has been my go-to for decades now. When it was transitioning from private ownership to the Noble Village group, owned by True World group, there was a transitional decline, thankfully, that didn't last long and things are developing very nicely. I hear even more growth is on the horizon as they establish an even greater presence in the building next door. I am also thankful that the integrity and the high-quality is very much present and everything they do. The service is always top notch and they try to open up a lot of lanes so people get through quickly because it is busier than ever. The word is definitely out. I've seen a lot of posts on social media and it's bringing in an even greater crowds, which is fantastic! Note: the on-line ordering is also so convenient and their sushi platters are high-level!

My go to is the seafood ramen w chili oil (I'd recommend adding chili oil to their broths), as well as the crispy shrimp tempura. An entree w a warm sake hits the spot perfectly! We went right at 5pm when it opened and all of us felt their dishes were pretty bland. My sister who doesn't like spicy or super flavorful foods liked her shrimp tempura udon though. Honestly, I was expecting more. I wish I would've loved it but didn't. I got the Tonkotsu with spice (didn't taste spicy at all). My hubby liked his Ton-Ton pork ramen. My friend got the Spicy Champon and it was NOT spicy at all. Not sure I'd recommend as our experience was lacking overall. At least they were great about refilling our waters and lots of free parking. I enjoyed the fresh small salad that came with our Ramen, but charging extra for the chili oil was a disappointment as my ramen really needed something extra. Better luck next time.
