Let me tell you 1st! Who trust a review written by a person who has 0 friend or a few reviews? Price? make sure when you order and It was not crazy expensive. Fair price. Huge size and taste is better than others. Not special taste and not like special menu, but Japanese taste as long as I know( im japanese) Plus, they speak Japanese negative side: they should have each picture on menu One more. when someone says, "This is not japanese" Have you been to Japan( not only like Tokyo, Kyoto/Osaka)? Have you had a family dinner at there? nowadays many Jp restaurants are ran by none-Jp such as Korean or Chinese and waiter doesnt speak Japanese. my point is here you may have many Japanese food, but there are many fusion. are you looking for Asian fusion or authentic Japanese? This restaurant is authentic Japanese side(not 100% thou), but not special and not for date.

Eat curry. Eat karage. Hmmm go there for dinner time, the place isn't backed. If you go around lunch time, the place is packed. Just remember the serving size is Bigger than expected

Best and Genuine Izakaya-style Japanese food around Novi area. All of fried Japanese deli dishes are best in Mid-West area including Chicago. Kara-age l Kushi-age l Tonkatsu is recommended besides sushi menu. The best day for sushi is Thursday.

I believe that he is one of the greatest Japanese restaurant chefs in Detroit. (The chef is not Japanese, that fact surprises me more) Pork fillet cutlet tastes perfect, which tells the chef has very good eye on food material, skills for prep and frying, so cutlet becomes tender with crispy texture. Be careful, it's very hot. Curry Namban (noodle) reminded me of my childhood. Gyoza is must try. It looks beautiful and tastes great. If you are not familiar with Japanese food, you're lucky to start enjoying it from here.

I'm feeling generous so 3 star. The place is small and decor is like a mix match of various restaurants with wobbly tables and wobbly benches. Price is Cherry Blossom's prices but average food. But I do admit we did not order sushi but donduri (rice meals) from the Japanese menu, tonkatsu, Katsu curry rice, una don. I loved my una don, eels over rice. It was quite tasty with the finely shaved eggs too. Now for the issues I did not like. Server really was not educated enough about the menu. When I order una don, he mistaken me saying udon. I corrected him, saying it's a rice dish not soup. Apparently to him that meant chirashi. Does it even sound like each other? Does he only know that dish to have rice and nothing else? Should I have read the description of the dish to him myself? I feel bad that they spent the time and effort to make chirashi to bring to me but it was not what i ordered. I understand they are newly opened but the menu is not that extensive. You should know the main non sushi items. Maybe I have too high of expectation but for the price of Cherry Blossom, I rather go elsewhere for better service, and decor. Salad that came with the meal was not enticing, miso soup apparently good enough for a 5 yr old's taste buds. Maybe I'll give it a try again after a yr? I don't know but currently I'm in no rush to head back, not when there are many other restaurants to try.

I moved to near this area. The owner cheff is an Indian, but he has much cooking skill and much cooking experience in Japan and the metro Detroit area. He is a great cheff nearby more than typical Chinese or Korean, looks like Asian fake Japanese cheffs. The food is not fancy, but traditional and Japanese SHOKUDO style, it's like diner or dive in Japan. They can give you much American style sushi rolls, but if you are Japanese food beginner or not so familiar for the casual Japanese food, you might be uncomfotable at this restaurunt.

Tekka-Don (tuna sashimi on a bowl of rice).
    Mike C.

The chef has been around the block working in real Japanese-run restaurants for many years before branching out on his own. Word has got around in the Japanese community and indeed most of the customers were Japanese tonight (a good sign). They have a full Japanese menu, not just sushi (including donburi, menrui, tsumami). Everything we tried -- tekka-don, uni/ikura/shake don and agedashi-dofu did not disappoint. The main thing that was not like Japan were the larger portions.

Good quality and portion of Japanese dinner and lunch. Everything tastes right. Best Karaage Chicken in this area.

Very close to my place. But it serves the worst sushi I ever had. The basic of sushi is sushi rice. Sushi rice here is just a joke.

My go to is the seafood ramen w chili oil (I'd recommend adding chili oil to their broths), as well as the crispy shrimp tempura. An entree w a warm sake hits the spot perfectly! We went right at 5pm when it opened and all of us felt their dishes were pretty bland. My sister who doesn't like spicy or super flavorful foods liked her shrimp tempura udon though. Honestly, I was expecting more. I wish I would've loved it but didn't. I got the Tonkotsu with spice (didn't taste spicy at all). My hubby liked his Ton-Ton pork ramen. My friend got the Spicy Champon and it was NOT spicy at all. Not sure I'd recommend as our experience was lacking overall. At least they were great about refilling our waters and lots of free parking. I enjoyed the fresh small salad that came with our Ramen, but charging extra for the chili oil was a disappointment as my ramen really needed something extra. Better luck next time.

Ambiance has always stayed the same: cute, cozy, and so comfortable. Now that the booths were removed and they only have regular table seating, service is a bit different (you order at the front or at the kiosk instead of someone taking your order), but I actually love how it all works! From an operational standpoint, I feel like it actually makes things go smoother and faster. Additionally, I don't know if it's just because I haven't had their sushi in a bit, but I felt like their portion sizes actually increased slightly (which is always amazing)!! Love love LOVEEE their sushi and hearty miso soup so much. Great selection of drinks from the fridge inside, and so many vegetables, fish, snacks, and essentials (e.g., hair care, toothpaste).

The premade food choices are growing by the day. They are always adding to their offerings with new flavors and tastes. I started coming to One world market in 1997 when it was first home by a husband and wife team. It was very special at that time to have a Japanese focused grocery store and I was so happy to have one in the Novi area. This has been my go-to for decades now. When it was transitioning from private ownership to the Noble Village group, owned by True World group, there was a transitional decline, thankfully, that didn't last long and things are developing very nicely. I hear even more growth is on the horizon as they establish an even greater presence in the building next door. I am also thankful that the integrity and the high-quality is very much present and everything they do. The service is always top notch and they try to open up a lot of lanes so people get through quickly because it is busier than ever. The word is definitely out. I've seen a lot of posts on social media and it's bringing in an even greater crowds, which is fantastic! Note: the on-line ordering is also so convenient and their sushi platters are high-level!
