    BOGO after 4pm - $9.03 all in.
    Bev K.

This is another place I've walked by countless times but never actually bought anything. The BOGO sale caught my eye ($9.03 for 2 boxes of sushi M-F after 4:30pm). Purchased 2 boxes of jumbo roll (shrimp tempura + avocado + spicy crab), 1 box of crunch spicy salmon roll (spicy salmon + avocado), 1 box of blackbird (crunchy spicy salmon + shrimp tempura + avocado). Some things to note: - You can tell they don't have a ton of ingredients (avocado, tempura, crab, etc.)... and that's okay! - they have nigiri - personally don't think each piece is thin (it's a good size) - it's a bit saucy so hold off on soy sauce - will never pay regular price ($8) a box I was going to give this place 3 stars for being no frills and having decent sushi. But I can't burn the image of chewing on my final piece and pulling a STRAND OF HAIR OUT OF MY MOUTH. It's short and I'm sure it belongs to the gentleman that rolls the sushi. I think I'll try other places in the path...

I went during the BOGO after 4:30. By the time I got there the selection wasn't a lot because it was nearing closing time. I think the two rolls I got were super filling and fairly good considering that it was probably made several hours ago. I think the BOGO is definitely a good deal especially since they have specialty rolls to choose from. I can't say the quality or the craftsmanship is the best I've ever had but for what it is, it met my expectation in terms of taste. I might not necessarily recommend this place as a hidden gem but I would come back if Im ever around the area

Came here during their daily BOGO sale (happens after 4:30pm) and got 2 of their jumbo rolls for $8 total, which is an amazing deal. I brought it and ate it at home and it was really good! Service was good and fast as this place is located conveniently next to College station. I'd come back if I want a quick sushi pickup.

So disgusting. The cucumbers in the cali roll tasted like they had been frozen and the wasabi wasn't even spicy...wtf? Gave a piece to my dog (who literally eats everything) ...he licked it and walked away. Honestly, if my dog wouldn't even eat it, that's a sure sign something is wrong.

    Green Dragon Roll ($8.50).

Generous Portion for Sushi On the Run's Salmon Sashimi. For a take out sushi place, you can't expect much to begin with, especially when it's not run by Japanese. However, if you lower your expectations, this place isn't as bad as it could be. It's not cheap though. If you want your fill, then go for the Salmon Sashimi ($12.99), which provides a generous portion of fish. I've tried the Green Dragon Roll ($8.50), but it wasn't worth good. Also, they don't accept credit cards.

A tiny sushi place with around 3-4 seats and a small ledge as a "table". After 4:30pm there are buy one get one free (equal or same price specials). Honestly, 16 pieces of sushi (2 boxes) for $6.75 is a pretty good deal. There's a decent variety of spicy salmon, salmon avocado, california, etc. The quality of sushi itself isn't amazing, but it is a good deal considering the price. It's steps away from the College Park exit at College TTC station, still inside the underground mall, so it is super convenient.

Came in here because I was in a rush to work and saw their BOGO sign outside of College station. They had a shelf full of sushi but there were maybe only 6-7 varieties of boxes. I bought 2 boxes and it came to $9. I ate at the little ledge/table that was available and boy was this sushi was nasty! I'd prefer Mac sushi over this any day and it's about the same price. The cuts of sashimi on the sushi were thin and awkward but they tasted meh and the rolls definitely looked and tasted like they were made in a rush. I can't handle wasabi but I like ginger and the wasabi was right on top of it so I couldn't enjoy any with my sushi. I had a few bites of the sushi and as much as I was in a rush and starving I could barely get it down my throat. Honestly I kind of cringe when I think about the look and taste.

Best sushi for the price. 2 trays for $9 can't be beat. Started coming here after work at least twice a week for the last couple months.

He takes great care of listening on what you want and present a wide variety of options that cater to your needs and your budget. The food is to die for as it is a unique experience and there are many dishes that I have never seen before. He has catered for groups ranging from 10 to 90 which is quite a range especially since he has only a few helpers. You can tell that he loves sharing his food with others and takes great care to ensure the experience is enjoyable. I would definitely recommend anyone wanting to try a new unique catering experience to try him out. If you are thinking of attending the Junk Food Festival in Mississauga, pass by and try his offering. He had a booth during this past weekend's Toronto version of the festival and it was a big hit with the crowds. Make sure you get there early so you avoid the lines at his booth. He took great lengths to make sure the meal was perfect by cooking it fresh.

We searched and found Rice Box and obtained their services to help us with their on-site cooking catering service. Based on our budget and our goals for the event, they proposed a customized menu that was suitable for what we were looking for, it Included Cucumber lemonade, watermelon salad, pulled pork sandwich, and lemon tart. After comparing to other proposals from other catering services, We came to the conclusion that Rice Box had the best cost/benefit ratio, and decided to try them out. The result at the bbq was much better then what we had expected, and was very well received by our attendees. The food quality was excellent and freshly cooked on site, and it had visibly improved the overall perceived level of quality of our event with an elevated touch of upscale dining fare. The end result was that we were glad that we had outsourced this part to Ricebox, they've handled our lunch group of 90 people with flying colors and we would definitely use them again in the future. Jordan was easy to work with, and was flexible in accomodating to our needs and what we were trying to achieve for our event. They've also indicated that they can also do wedding and bridal shower party catering as well, would def consider them if we ever have that need in the future.

However, the set-up (name cards/place settings/centerpieces) was at a glacial pace such that there was no time for wedding helpers to verify all hundreds of name cards were placed at the correct seats by M&O staff. A second consequence was that guests were unable to mingle in the reception hall any earlier despite the ceremony having ended early, and some guests were forced to wait outside despite the cold. Jordan attempted to offer alternatives, but the set up staff did not speed up the set up process, and guests continued to wait outside the reception hall in a standing room only lobby area (and expressed frustration about that). Name cards were swapped/the opposite of what the bride outlined in the seating chart, so that at long rectangular tables a husband/wife were sitting at opposite ends. The staff potentially were not from M&O (potentially outsourced from a different company) but some did not clarify seating, and as a result, mixed up all the food orders. Some individual waitstaff were quite good about verifying name card placements but others did not verify them at all. Hopefully no one had a severe allergic reaction that night, as the seating chart from the bride and the reality of where names were placed were completely different for some tables. M&O also took boxes of glasses filled with water one by one to set up (instead of wheeling out several carts which would have expedited the process) and set everything up extremely slowly. Staff also served only 2 plates at a time, with about 6-8 people being served at a time. At a large wedding, this was disastrous because it took more than 40 minutes for them to serve the main course to everyone. This threw off the whole schedule of speeches so in the end we were more than an hour behind schedule. They also expressed a preference for people to be seated while the courses were being served due to the tight space (the tables were quite close together because the venue should not have allowed so many guests in that particular hall/room), which is a tad unreasonable at a wedding with several hundred people. In the end, guests couldn't enjoy the photo booth nor mingle as freely, and the schedule was extremely behind because speeches couldn't go on while people were in the middle of being served. Not sure if M&O outsourced their waitstaff to a 3rd party company that night, but would not recommend to anyone unfortunately despite the food tasting good.
