Really cool concept but missing a few main dishes that would make me come back. Love the layout the big tables with the over Size art mural and the sleek benches. Perfect for a byow birthday party the tables are huge. For 20$ you can eat your heart out with sushi and your typical Buffet style picks. My favourite were the octopus balls, those tasted almost like the ones I got at imadake and I love those !! They have a really great green tea ice cream in the dessert section, it's that or orange slices. They need more options in the dessert department and maybe some fab favourites added. The sushis tastes great and the service is fast. They also have a lot of side plates that are really good too! It is on the expensive side if you go at night, but get the sashimis to make up for it! They are also using iPads to take orders, so you don't need to wait for the waiters to come. read more

Average Ayce restaurant. Let's you order off an iPad but it uses a web browser instead of a fully-integrated ordering app (which has its limitations and poor quality photos). We had issues with items we ordered not showing up or incorrect quantities arriving. Which is odd since it's all there on the computer screen. But food was pretty good and the servers were nice. read more

Great service and atmosphere, Sushi Plus is one of the better "all you can eat" sushi restaurants in the region. The digital tablet menu is a big plus as you can see pictures of what you will be ordering and you don't have to deal with the issue of receiving a bad order compared to places that use the old pen & paper method where you're always bound to receive a wrong dish. This place is close to my home and I'm so happy it is. I've been here multiple times and brought plenty of my friends. The sushi is fresh. The Korean food is quite tasty as well. Do you and your friends or family love a good place for Sushi that is all you can eat and is of high quality and made fresh? Then you've found a good spot for your sushi needs. There is a wide selection of sushi to choose from. There are maki rolls, sashimi and the regular sushi rolls with shrimp, tuna, salmon and crab. The majority of their sushi options have multiple variations with the same core ingredients. The options with tempura shrimp are a must when going to Sushi Plus. There are exceptional choices to make from their sushi menu and did I mention that it's all you can eat? Now, you may be asking why I've only given Sushi Plus a rating of 3-stars. That's because Sushi Plus is not just making or advertising sushi dishes on their menu. There are plenty of other options from ramen, teriyaki, chicken cutlet, rice dishes, and other Japanese dishes to choose from. The issue is that those dishes, in my opinion, are just average. There's a lot of non-sushi options that are just average at best. There are times where the non-sushi dishes such as the basket of tempura shrimp will come at room temperature, overly greasy and just not that pleasant to eat. Then you can find yourself ordering the pad thai and that will also be served at room temperature or with an endless amount of onions and not much else in terms of the core ingredients that should be in the dish. Overall, if you're looking for a solid all-you-can-eat sushi option, Sushi Plus is a good choice if you live in the neighbourhood of Lasalle or surrounding area. They are also a bring-your-own-wine restaurant so don't expect to find alcohol on their menu. read more

I found myself in Lasalle one weekday afternoon and I felt like a buffet. As I was driving on Newman, I came across a Chinese buffet in a strip mall so I decided to turn onto Dollard to go into the strip mall's parking lot and then I saw that there was also a Sushi Plus in this strip mall. Since I really like sushi but I was in the mood for a buffet, I wasn't sure if this Sushi Plus was an AYCE sushi place so walked over to the door and looked at the menu outside the door. The menu notice on the door indicated that there was an "a la carte" menu as well as an AYCE menu so I decided to eat here as opposed to going to the Chinese buffet place next door. I was there at about 1:30pm on Thursday and the place was not crowded so I was seated immediately. After being seated, the waiter asked me if I was there for AYCE menu or the ALC menu. I mentioned that I was there for the AYCE. He then asked me if it was the first time that I was there and I mentioned that it was. He quickly explained to me how to use the tablet to order the items that I wanted. He also informed me that there were some items with a red circle and an "i" in it which were not part of the AYCE lunch menu but if I wanted these items, it wouldn't be an issue to order them but there would be extra charges which would show up when I submitted/sent the order to the kitchen. Most of these items were the more exotic seafood items like calamari and some types of fishes. The standard salmon sashimi and tuna sashimi were part of the AYCE lunch menu. What I did find unusual was that the sushi with rice on the bottom and cut/open shrimp on the top had the "i" on it since that is available in most AYCE places as part of lunch. This place has free WiFi but you must ask them for the password. The hot & sour soup at this place was one of the best hot & sour soups that I've ever had. It was spicy and not too sour. I had some dumplings which were good. The salmon sashimi was very good. I didn't have any of the maki rolls. I also had some tempura eggplant, tempura shrimp, and tempura imitation crab. These were also very good. I also had some spicy seafood udon soup which I found to be very good as well. Unlike in some other AYCE sushi restaurants, I didn't experience any issues with ordering items from their tablet (like tablet freezing up or giving error messages) and I didn't have to remind the waiter of any missing items that I ordered. I found that the service was very fast but this might be due to the restaurant not being full at the time that I was there. There were only 5 tables used when I was there with a table outside on the patio being used as well. What I did find a bit weird is that you had to "order" refills of your water on the tablet. It didn't really bother me but this is something that I noticed as well as needing to "order" extra napkins on the tablet as well. For dessert, they had 3 types of ice cream. The options on the tablet were single scoops or double scoop. Since I love ice cream, I picked the double-scoop option for each of the 3 flavours. The waiter came back to my table and asked me if I realized that I picked 6 scoops of ice cream in total and I confirmed with him that I did want 6 scoops of ice cream (2 scoops of each of the 3 flavours) and not 3 scoops of ice cream (1 scoop of each flavour). Along with the ice cream, I also had 1 fried banana. The fried banana was very good. In terms of the portion size, I would say that it was maybe a third of a banana which was cut in half. The fried banana had some chocolate syrup on it and tasted great mixing it with the ice cream (sort of a banana split). Cost was $16.99 + tax + tip = $19.53 + tip. read more

Sushi was really disappointing. I ordered the cape cod and the shrimp tasted old. To make matters worse they clearly gave me old sushi roll that had been sitting in the fridge all day. I've been here a few times now, both for lunch and supper. I love this place! Their menu is varied and very large (especially the supper menu), plus I enjoy their ordering system (tablets). The presentation of the food is great and is served at the perfect pace for my fiancé and I, there's almost always something on the table, but we are never bombarded with too many plates at once. The food tastes fresh, especially their sashimi (the salmon sashimi melts in your mouth). I love their selection of rolls, there are quite a few specialty rolls, many that I've never seen at any other AYCE sushi joint in Montreal. The crispy tempura rolls are really pleasant (try the sushi plus roll!) and the sushi pizza is the bomb. Skip the rolls with cream cheese, I find them too be "too much". The hot kitchen is very good, better than most AYCE sushi places! Some personal favourites include their steamed dumplings (both pork and shrimp), the takoyakis (supper only, but a must try!! They are kind of creamy inside, which is actually really pleasant) and most of their chicken dishes (try their ok chicken, it's crispy and sweet). All of their tempura is excellent, the batter is light and crispy. On top of the great food, the relatively calm ambience (it has always been more on the quiet side, which I love. No headaches afterwards!) and kind service make this restaurant a great place to come to for a nice meal and relaxing experience. Came here the other night with my family. Near the end of the meal I suddenly started to feel sick so i quickly ran to the bathroom, not even 5 minutes later so was my brother. We were both in the bathroom sick, the only 2 out of the family. The only thing we ate in common that my other family member did not, was the spicy crab. Had to call in sick the next day at work as I was sick the whole day. I am truly disgusted and will not be coming back. The service was very slow for the amount of people eating in the restaurant. When you treat your paying costumers differently each time they come, nobody will want to come back here. The basic roles of costumer service is to ALWAYS make them feel comfortable, welcomed and make them want to come back.
